Generation of Skin Disease Effects into Synthetic Fingerprints from SFinGe Generator

This thesis discuss the topic of generation of skin disease effects, psoriasis and colagenosis into synthetic fingerprints from SFinGe generator. Thesis includes theoretical as well as practical approach of the topic including implementation design, program implementation and experiment results. SFinGe approach is used to generate fingerprints. Python (2.7.6) is used to implement algorithm for image processing and generating disease symptoms with OpenCV, Matplotlib, NumPy and SciPy libraries. For results evaluation, NFIQ standard and Oravec approach are used. The application is able to generate fingerprint image with symptoms of psoriasis or colagenosis, therefore it can be used for futher research with biometric systems.

This thesis describes relationship between human body and light. It is focused on perception of light with human eye, skin and their reaction to incident light and its intensity. Then it contains short description of Icterus Neonatorum (yellow-gum), Constitutional Dermatitis, Lepriasis and their treatment. It is followed by description of various sources of light, their use in medicine and reaction of body to them. This work includes measurements and evaluation of five sources of light.
The effect of swimming training on children with skin problems

The diploma thesis focuses on children of early school age who have undergone mandatory swimming training in pools with various water disinfection methods, specifically chlorine, salt, and UV+. The aim of the thesis is to analyse how this swimming instruction affects children with different skin conditions, such as dry skin, atopic eczema, psoriasis, and plantar warts. The research was conducted at three different primary schools, each of which visited a different swimming pool with a distinct water treatment method during the swimming lessons. A total of 348 students participated in the research, including 172 girls and 176 boys from the 3rd and 4th grades, aged 8 to 11. The research utilized the method of quantitative personal interviewing and the method of qualitative observation. The theoretical part delves into swimming, swimming instruction, water treatment methods in swimming pools, and selected skin diseases. The practical part outlines the research findings. The obtained results demonstrated that skin dryness was observed in 35.4% of students from all three schools participating in swimming lessons. Skin dryness manifested in 26.5% of students in the chlorinated pool, in 46.2% of students in the salt-treated pool, and in 34.6% of students in the UV+ pool. The exacerbation of atopic eczema...

Lipid-based nanoparticles for the delivery of naphthoquinone derivatives for the treatment of psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune chronic skin disease with a global prevalence of around 2-4%. Pharmacological treatment currently serves mainly to suppress the symptoms of the disease. However, many drugs have major side effects and therapy must often be discontinued. On the other hand, advances in understanding the pathophysiology of psoriasis have pointed out several molecular targets to be considered for future treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine has been using herbal extracts containing various types of 1,4-naphthoquinones for psoriasis treatment. These naphthoquinones have attracted much attention from the pharmaceutical industry for their structural diversity and wide range of pharmacological effects. Colored 1,4-naphthoquinones shikonin, juglon and their derivatives have already been tested on a numerous cell lines and animal models. The problem is their limited solubility in water, thermolability and susceptibility to oxidation and polymerization. Topical application is complicated by their strong binding to the upper layer of the skin, which causes skin discoloration that is difficult to wash off and reduces their penetration into the deeper layers of the skin, where their therapeutic effect is needed. Problems of the Patient with Psoriasis and his Integration to the Society

The bachelor work is dealing with the problems of patients, afflicted with psoriasis.In the first half of the teoretical part I am fixing on the description of the anatomy and physiology of the skin.The second half of the theoretical part makes clear, what actually psoriasis yields, what is its history, how manifests, what is the posssibility of diagnostics, what types of psoriasis we can meet in the practice, which are the possibilities of the treatment and why is important education of the diseased person,the family and the society.In several chapters I describe,which is the fall-out on the psychical and physical disposition of the patient. Last but not least I am joining on the chapter about the integrating of persons with psoriasis to the society.The empirical part is fixed on the life and stories of the people who did not choose this disease wilfully, however it guides them for the big part of their life. Quality of life of a person with psoriasis

Psoriasis is not an illness just of these days. 3-7% of world population suffers from this illness. This diploma work focuses on quality of life of ill people. We guess that it influences such a client in a holistic way. This illness interferes into personal, professional and social life. So psoriasis is not just an illness but also an everyday problem or handicap for those who get ill.Two questionnaires were made for this research, where first of those is focused on quality of life by a standard questionnaire and the second one was created on the base of analysis of D. Johnson model. Those questionnaires were given out to ill in South and Central Counties of Bohemia. The respondents were to chose, after their completing, which one is more sensitive to problems implying from this illness. The results are graphically shown and then paid attention in chapter Discussion.Finally I would like to say, those hypotheses were acknowledged. Psoriasis influences life in a holistic way, a nurse can have a significant influence on well-being of a client with this illness in area of her nursing interventions and D. Johnson model is an effective tool for providing those ill with psoriasis with care.
