Electromechanical door lock with biometric reader and NFC
Tkadlec, Prokop ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to prototype an electromechanical lock, that will be controlled by a biometric reader and NFC. In this bachelor's thesis all the individual components of designed prototype are presented and described. The next chapter presents selected software and hardware solutions and their implementation into the prepared physical configuration. The designed prototype enables the authentication of stored fingerprints and cards that support the ISO/IEC 15693 standard. Insertion and saving of authorized fingerprints and cards is possible via serial communication.
Analysis of the Tools for Detecting Similarities between Tertiary Protein Structures
Trlica, Jiří ; Vogel, Ivan (referee) ; Bendl, Jaroslav (advisor)
Alignment of the three-dimensional structures of proteins is an essential task in bioinformatics. Because there are many tools offering this functionality, only a limited subset of them was chosen for comparison (DALI, LOCK 2, SPALIGN, MUSTANG and CLICK). These tools vary in the principle of calculation. Their performance was measured on three proteins, which represent main protein classes (all-α, all-β, α/β). These proteins were tested against a subset of PDB database containing 2 357 records. The results were visualized by ROC curves and the tools were compared by their area under ROC curve (AUC metric). According to this metric, the best results were obtained for SPALIGN.
Materials for Production of Small Firearms
Neužil, Tomáš ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize information of small firearms, both in terms of their historical development and the origins of the crafting firearms, through the development of locks and a history of the weapons, which were during this development invented, to the emergence of a single bullet, which is still used today, so from the perspective of our time focusing on the choice of barrel materials, the issue of loading and fatigue barrel and bore when fired and conventional production technologies barrel bore.
Studies canal linking the River Elbe in Přelouč
Kavalírová, Anna ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the waterway design and floating channel on the river Elbe near city Přelouč and consists of several parts. The first part describes parameters of floating channel and lock followed by their evaluation. In the next part of the thesis, project adjustments are designed. In the third and key part is the evaluation of the project‘s usability.
Úložný nábytek z recyklovaného papíru
Dobrovolný, Lubomír
The work deals with storage furniture from recycled paper, due to sustainable design, the current excessive paper waste and low-cost living. In order for the product to remain on the market, it tries to combine the principles of solitaires with modular systems. Cardboard is intended as the final material. The work addresses the design, ergonomics and aesthetic appearance in the context of purchasing potential.

Development of Multithreaded Applications on the Java 8 platform
Souček, Dan ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (referee)
This master thesis is a programmer's guide book of a concurrent programming on the Java 8 platform. Concurrency brings additional issues that cannot occur in single-threaded ap-plications. One of the thesis' objectives is to analyze these issues and introduce several principles that, in case they are properly followed, help to create flawless and well-behaving concurrent applications. Another goal of this thesis is to describe the Java con-currency programming from the theoretical point of view. Firstly, the thesis is focused on basic thread development and synchronization issues. Later, it introduces the features and instruments that are provided by Java 5 and higher versions. The theoretical passages are enriched by practical examples that perform discussed features and help to clarify some specific issues. The thesis is written in Czech language and covers large set of concurrency topics from the very basics through the utility libraries to modern instruments present in Java 8.
