Design and implementation of a laboratory energy management task using the Power Monitoring Expert system
Preisler, Matěj ; Ostruška, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on creating a laboratory task for students to provide hands-on experience in energy management using Schneider Electric's Power Monitoring Expert (PME) system. The thesis begins with a research of current trends in energy management, a definition of ISO 50001 and a description of the PME system. Subsequently a laboratory task is designed and the function of the different instruments used in the task is described. In the next section, the procedures that led to the creation of this task are described in detail. The output of the bachelor thesis is two constructed laboratory tasks, accompanied by detailed instructions that guide the student through the laboratory task.
Flanger music effect
Válek, Tomáš ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This thesis describes the properties and principle of delay line effects. The flanger effect is then described from the theoretical side down to the circuit level and designed at the circuit level including component parameters. The flanger design was simulated using LTspice and the results analyzed. For this design, a printed circuit board was designed in Autodesk Fusion. Afterwards, the flanger was constructed as a laboratory device and its measured parameters were compared with the simulations. Eventually, a measurement guide and a sample measurement report were created for it.
Preparation of a laboratory exercise focusing on hydrogen energy storage
Mistrová, Jana ; Vanýsek, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the preparation of a laboratory experiment focused on hydrogen storage capacity. The experiment deals with hydrogen production, fuel cells, the evaluation its efficiency and hydrogen consumption within a fuel cell. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the energy storage systems, particularly chemical energy storage and hydrogen production. The next part explores fuel cell technologies. Following this, the thesis describes the experiment's preparation, equipment, and fuel cell activation. The final part focuses on the laboratory materials and the report.
OTDR optical path analyzer
Šimková, Barbora ; Tomašov, Adrián (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis was a theoretical analysis of OTDR issues, analysis of OTDR device components, as well as basic parameters of this device. The thesis also includes a theoretical analysis of reflections, scattering, and various types of connectors. In the practical part, a circuit design for OTDR measurement was developed and subsequently implemented. The circuit was realized using the Red Pitaya development board and Koheron laser. Additionally, a circuit for direct method measurement was also created. In the LabView development environment, a program was created, including a graphical user interface. A laboratory task was also designed to provide a basic understanding of OTDR measurement issues.
Laboratory device with temperature control
Telecký, Jakub ; Škrabánek, Pavel (referee) ; Němec, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with regulation and procedures that can be used for this. The theoretical part therefore presents the basic concepts of automation and controllers. The main part is the practical part. The purchased system consists of a regulated system, which must be set up correctly. Using system identification and known procedures, sample examples of how to best set the controller are compiled. The result is a sample laboratory task that automation students can try and gain experience with methods of setting up the controller.
All-pass filters with various active devices
Novotný, Jakub ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of the semester project is to provide an overview of the function and use of analogue all-pass filters. It deals with their specific implementation using active functional blocks, i. e. using LT1228 transconductance amplifier manufactured by Linear Technology, using transimpedance amplifier AD844 manufactured by Analog Devices and using negative three port second generation current conveyor EL2082 manufactured by Intersil (formerly Elantec). Further outlines the concept of laboratory exercises on all-pass filters with the aforementioned integrated circuits. The exercise will consist of three separate units.
CIP Safety
Šmoldas, Michal ; Stibor, Karel (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the analysis of CIP technology and the creation of laboratory tasks from components based on this technology. The aim of the thesis is to create a literary research on CIP technology and its individual extensions focusing on CIP Safety. Further, a functional laboratory panel is assembled from the available components in the FEKT VUT Brno laboratory supporting this technology CIP Safety, specifying the assignment of the laboratory task. Functionality of the panel has been verified by the SW solution of the laboratory task with visualization and control of the virtual production line. The result of the work is literary research on CIP technology, functional laboratory panel, specification of assignment of laboratory task and SW solution of task with visualization and control of virtual production line.
X-ray computed tomography artifacts simulation
Koťová, Markéta ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Drastich, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with CT artifacts modeling generated during the acquisition process. The theoretical part summarizes principles of CT and origin of artifacts. The practical part consists of a newly developed simulator, which includes ring, motion, metal, streak and aliasing artifacts. Finally, the new laboratory exercise was designed.
Detection of the RF Signal on MRI
Břínek, Adam ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Drastich, Aleš (advisor)
Presented bachelor’s thesis is focused on the detection of MR signal. The aim is to propose the laboratory exercise. The difference between the linear and quadrature detections is described with emphasis on SNR. The program was created in Matlab GUI to be provided in the laboratory excercise. The program is presented in the text.
Blockchain technology and its use
Hrbotický, Lukáš ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This diploma theses concerns the matter of blockchain technology and its practical use, especially for nonfinancial services. Theoretical part describes the blockchain technology from the technological and juridical point of view and examples of its practical use are also mentioned. In the practical part two laboratory exercises were designed for further familiarization of the blockchain technology, in which students try some real applications on their own.
