Women of important composers, involved in music
Chvalová, Viola ; Palkovská, Jana (advisor) ; Tichá, Libuše (referee)
In this thesis, I summarize the personal and professional profiles of a selection of musically active women who lived alongside prominent composers. These are six women artists from the Baroque to the 20th century. In each chapter, a different element of their lives became the focus of my interest. Sometimes, given the paucity of reliable sources of information (especially in relation to the Baroque period), this is merely a summary of hypotheses, sometimes I focus more on the professional side of the personality, and sometimes on personal and family matters. The thesis deals with sections of music history with which the general public is not so familiar and yet which I suppose deserve to be known. I focus on the virtuoso of the seventeenth-century harpsichordist Marie-Rose Dubois, who, alongside her husband J. B. Forqueray, was a concert artist, the singer and important creator of the Bach manuscripts Anna Magdalena Bachová, the outstanding singer of the classical period Josefina Dušková, the wife of the Czech composer F. X. Dušek. I also deal with the harpist and composer Sophie Corri-Dussek, wife of the musical bohemian J. L. Dusik, the most important 19th century pianist Clara Schumann and the opera singer Berta Lauterer, partner of the Czech composer J. B. Foerster. There are, of course, many...

Alternative Proposal of Concert Hall in Brno - Janáček Cultural Center
Fikejs, Oldřich ; Bindr, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The Brno Philharmonic is renowned all over the world from London to Tokyo, but in its home town only has a small hall with poor acoustics not suitable for symphony concerts. The efforts to construct a worthy cultural venue to meet the needs of Brno go back to the interwar period and their implementation is still not in sight. The core of the project is a concert hall with capacity of 1,812. Its layout combines the advantages of standard shoebox-shaped halls and surround halls, because the best music experience gets the viewer who is quite close to the orchestra. The disadvantages of the former include poor contact with the orchestra in the rear seating, the latter sacrifice acoustical excellence mainly in the side and rear seating areas for audience proximity and visual stimulation. The building is composed of three functionally distinct parts: the audience’s part, musicians‘ background and technical equipment. The operation of each is placed in a horizontal part of a L-shaped solid. The vertical parts face each other creating a raised central cube containing the concert hall.
Moravian-Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra of Ostrava, Černá louka
Fedorková, Zuzana ; Rusín, Tomáš (referee) ; Gürtler,, Ivan (advisor)
The building is located in the city Ostrava in Cerna louka, that is a city district very close to the center and river side, just in a middle of the ortogonal block build up area. The philharmonic is designed like a big block made of brass from which is rising the light glazed volume of the auditorium and where the volume of atrium is hidden in. This 2 volumes represent the future and past values of the city Ostrava. The volume of the auditorium is the only object in whole ortogonal area that is twisted. Due to this fact it gains uniqueness and dissimilarity. Thanks to that is becoming a new symbol of the city.
System for Management of Music Band Performances
Zukal, Filip ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to create an application that will allow musicians to perform at concerts without using paper sheet music and without the need to interact with devices designed to display music notation during the concert. The application also offers musicians the option to communicate with digital musical instruments using the MIDI protocol. They will be able to change their configuration, primarily before each played song. Through this application, the audience can also interact with the band. They can influence the course of the concert by requesting a song. Due to the stability reasons, the entire system is deployed in a local network only to which listeners can also connect. To enhance their user experience, a Captive portal is set up on the Wi-Fi network to redirect them into the system.
