The role of the evil and the good sister in Perrault's fairy tales
Ciprová, Hana ; Fučíková, Milena (advisor) ; Listíková, Renáta (referee)
v anglickém jazyce This bachelor's thesis deals with ways of conception of the role of evil and kind sister in the fairy tales written by well-known French author Charles Perrault. These ways are compared with methods of current writer Patrick Chamoiseau. The goal of this thesis is to show the identical traits by using analytical and subsequent comparative method. These identical features were revealed on the basis of work with fairytale texts Cendrillon ou La petite pantoufle en verre, Les fées and La Barbe Bleue in Czech translation Popelka aneb Skleněný střevíček, Víly and Modrovous. These attributes become the main criterions of comparison of achieved results with elements which can be found in a fairy tale called La plus belle est à l'en-bas de la baille in Czech translation Nejhezčí je pod žlabem. This study aspires to answer the question if it is possible to declare these three mentioned fairy tales written by Charles Perrault as a possible source of inspiration how to understand characters of kind and evil sister in work of Patrick Chamoiseau. The following part of this thesis is a brief insight into the issue of fairy tales including presentation of up to now research and the difficulties which this genre provides. On the basis of this work, it is possible to consider the methods of...
Convergence of waste management instruments in selected EU countries
Vaculík, Jan ; Ullrichová, Eliška (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the topic of waste management, with a specific focus on instruments and their application in selected EU Member States. The thesis builds on the theory of policy convergence. The aim of the thesis was to analyse selected waste management instruments in specific EU Member States with the assumption of possible convergence. The research method of the thesis was a comparison of the application of the three instruments between the countries. These were the instruments of prohibition, taxation and pay-as-you-throw. The initial assumption for the research was that countries having similar performance on the three levels of the waste management hierarchy would converge on waste management tools. The research timeframe was from 2008, when the EU Waste Framework Directive was issued, defining targets for recycling rate levels by 2025, to 2022, when the EEA summary reports on the waste management of all EU Member States were issued. The research question that this paper addressed and sought to answer was whether the Member States with the best performance with respect to the EU waste hierarchy and targets introduced the same selected instruments to achieve these targets between 2008 and 2022. The resulting findings stated that there was no introduction of banning and taxing instruments...

New codification or just redaction of the original one? Comparison of Czech land constitutions from years 1500 and 1549
Stojan, Marek ; Starý, Marek (advisor) ; Kindl, Vladimír (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the comparison of two crucial legal codes of the Bohemian common law of the first half of the 16th century, i.e. Vladislavské zřízení zemské and Zřízení zemské of 1549. The aim is to answer the question whether it is possible to perceive Zemské zřízení of 1549 in the same way as it is understood by the majority of the current historiography, meaning whether Zemské zřízení of 1549 is only the redaction of Vladislavské zřízení zemské. I want to concentrate on the thought if it is necessary to reconsider the general view on this matter. It may be established that these legal codes are relatively independent works due to their dissimilarities as they differ significantly in their origin, authors, historical context, central ideas, and structure. In general, the distribution of power is a key aspect of forming the law, which applies not only to the early modern period, and this idea is reflected in the structure and content of both these codifications. In the first chapter, I focus on the contextualisation of both codes from the point of view of the legal history and discuss the political science thinking of selected classical authors. My next goal is to describe the legal development not only in the Kingdom of Bohemia but in the Moravian Margraviate as well as, this...
