Tabletop Object Detection
Varga, Tomáš ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This work describes the issue of tabletop object detection in point cloud. Point cloud is recorded with Kinect sensor. Designed solution uses algorithm RANSAC for plane detection, algorithm Euclidean clustering for segmentation and ICP algorithm for object detection. Algorithm ICP is modified and mainly it can detect rotational symetric objects and objects without any transformation against it's models. The final package is build on platform ROS. The achieved results with own dataset are good despite of the limited functionality of the detector.
3D scanning method of environment via Kinect sensor
Kumpán, Pavel ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Růžička, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of Microsoft Kinect sensor to create a three-dimensional model of the environment. The thesis describes a method for scanning the environment and its implementation for common CPUs and GPUs. The outcome of this work is an application that allows scanning the environment and creating a model in the form of a point cloud or a polygon mesh.
3D Educational Application Using the Depth Sensors
Zubrik, Tomáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veľas, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with the creation of an interactive learning system that uses depth sensor and projector to render an interactive topographic map on the top of the sand surface. Our solution is based on the existing application AR Sandbox. Aditionally to the visualization elevation, the application allows the user to model the terrain model interactivelly, while guiding him by color distinguishment to create model correctly. We have developed an extension that allows the user to choose any part of the Earth's surface to create its model. The solution utilizes the full potential of the original application and offers the user an engaging experience in modeling the landforms or river basins. The result of this work is an operational system, which is helpful for gaining the knowledge in the field of topography and hydrology. User testing was evaluated using a UEQ questionnaire and has proven the usability, while achieving average score of 1.2, which is rated above-average on the UEQ scale.
3D Scene Reconstruction from Images
Fuchsík, Ondřej ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with scene reconstruction from images using RGB--D senzo Microsoft Kinect. The aim of the work is to create model of the room in form of points from scanned data, from witch is created plan of the interior. A large part of the work deals with the point cloud registration, thus existing methods and their descriptions. Further, a projection of points on a plane and detection of edges in the obtained image are discussed. The work experimentally examines the influence of recording and the recorded environment on results.
Methods for Simultaneous Self-localization and Mapping for Depht Cameras
Application Control Using Gestures
Lengál, Tomáš ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with application control using sensor Microsoft Kinect. The main goal is to explore the possibility and the suitability of the sensor for gesture recognition and their using in control application. The work focuses on three main tasks. Namely, menu control, rotation control and trimming control.
Moving Persons Detection and Tracking
Johanová, Daniela ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the person detection using RGB-D Microsoft Kinect sensor. Human body detector is based on the method Combohod which uses both color and depth information from Kinect sensor. The aim of the thesis was to create a person detector whose functionality is demonstrated by proposing a statistical application that collects statistical information about the people who passed the shop window. At the end of the thesis the experiments with the detector under varios different conditions are described.
Review of methods detecting the change of human posture during rehabilitation
Krakovský, Jozef ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection of ineligible position change during rehabilitation of patients, that overcame fractures around elbow joint. Theoretically informs about devices that can detect this position change and describes their functions. In second practical part describes tests and experiments that these devices underwent and states propriate results of accuracy, robustness and financial and hardware demands.
Gesture Based Human-Computer Interface
Jaroň, Lukáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This masters thesis describes possibilities and principles of gesture-based computer interface. The work describes general approaches for gesture control.  It also deals with implementation of the selected detection method of the hands and fingers using depth maps loaded form Kinect sensor. The implementation also deals with gesture recognition using hidden Markov models. For demonstration purposes there is also described implementation of a simple photo viewer that uses developed gesture-based computer interface. The work also focuses on quality testing and accuracy evaluation for selected gesture recognizer.
Creating a 3D Face Model Using Kinect Device
Nesvadba, Tomáš ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Mráček, Štěpán (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is to suggest a method for increasing the resolution of 3D face models captured by Kinect. The document describes different methods of capturing 3D models and compares the Kinect sensor with more acurate scanners. The main part of this document is dedicated to statistic model based on the PCA and its usage in the project. The last section of the paper describes testing of various models and discuss the results and another options of aplication.
