City apartment house Klíčova

New city apartment house is located in the center of Brno, incorporated into older apartment buildings on the Klíčova street and partly on the Zvěřinova Street, near the Křenová street, Olomoucká street a Tržní street. It is a monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton, founded on piles, with five aboveground floors and one underground floor, finished by a flat roof. The house is separated by four entrances to units. Each of these units contains a specific type of flat and house is fully wheelchair accessible. In the house there is a underground parking, service areas and flats. Behind the house there is a recreational area for residents of the house. This house is interesting because of interior design and attractive location, especially thanks to the position in the city center, easy accessibility and pleasant surroundings near the river Svitava and a adjacent alley.
Intenzive City House

The subject of this diploma thesis is the revitalization of the urban block in the street Křenová in the Trnitá district of Brno. The land is brownfield for the most part. The design of new space utilization includes a new building of an intensive urban area, so-called multifunctional house. Ponávka River is the compositional axis of a new development. The river indicates the character of the parterre. It is a place for relaxation and a walking promenade. The buildings have 1 - 4 aboveground and 1 underground floor. The compactness of the building differs from the second above-ground floor. Solitary objects are formed by a square or rectangular ground plan. The object is used for various purposes, such as services, administrative and residential areas or underground parking. The perimeter cladding of the building is made of brick cladding with respect to the surrounding area. The building is complemented by an external metal structure - stand-alone frames that can be used to hold green. The frames are repeated throughout the area and form a connecting element.

Housing in released buildings of former Brno´s textile factories

The doctoral thesis is concentrated on housing as selected manner to convert the released textile factories. In the first part was attention given to history which confirmed the high recovery factor of Brno´s industrial past to reuse. Next part was focused on analysis of the XXth century forms of collective housing, especially the loft housing, to characterize the perspective habitation in selected factories. Finally was the contemporary housing observed through three specific aspects to aim the conversion of Brno´s textile factories.
