Design and Analysis of System for Bus Lines
Lebeda, Martin ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this project was to create an Information system of bus transport. After further analysis it was certain, that this system will support tramway, trolley-bus and train transport as well. Essential part of the project is focused on software engineering, object-oriented application design. System is implemented in PHP with the support of MySQL database. Route searching engine will be using method of artificial intelligence.
Evolutionary Optimization of Tour Timetables
Filák, Jakub ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of vehicle scheduling in public transport. It contains a theoretical introduction to vehicles scheduling and evolutionary algorithms. Vehicle scheduling is analyzed with respect to the bus timetables. Analysis of evolutionary algorithms is done with emphasis on the genetic algorithms and tabu-search method After the theoretical introduction, a memetic algorithm for the given problem is analyzed. Finally, the thesis contains a description of the optimization system implementation and discusses the experiments with the system.
Interactive Comparison of Train Connections
Uhlíř, Jan ; Holkovič, Martin (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned by question of interactive comparison of train connections with graphic timetable. The first step was to analyze existing applications. Subsequently, an analysis of the available technologies for creating custom diagrams and database systems was performed. The product of this thesis is a web application which purpose is a graphic representation of traffic on the track in the form of an interactive graphic element. The displayed data can be filtered according to user's configuration.
Interactive Train Diagram for Tablet Computers
Kalusek, Petr ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and development of a mobile application for Android operating system. The aim of the work is implementation of application for interactive comparison of train connections using a graphic timetable. Application finds paths between stations including transfers a shows the connections on these paths in graphic timetable. This graph supports data filtration, scrolling and zooming. Train connection data were scraped from web services using a script.

Urban transport planner
Pokorný, Tomáš ; Mareš, Martin (advisor) ; Pangrác, Ondřej (referee)
Travelling in the city is a part of everyday life for many people. It is sometimes difficult to choose the right combination of walking and public transport especially in unfamiliar parts of the city. We processed publicly available data and made a search engine for multimodal paths. The search engine was designed to be able to personalise results according to user needs and could be used as a web application or a shared library.

Off-line connection search on Google Android platform
Křepelka, Michal ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Straka, Milan (referee)
This thesis discusses the connection search in public transit without permanent connection to the server, that would do the time-consuming calculations. For this purpose, we use the Transfer Pattern method running on Google Android platform. We demonstrate to the reader some of the most common graphs used for connection search in public transit and subsequently the procedure how to formalize timetables as such graphs. Further we describe principles of Transfer Patterns, a way how to compute them from timetable graph and how to store them in SQLite database on Android device. On such pre-computed data, we can very quickly and efficiently find the optimal connection even on relatively performance-limited Android device.
