Thesis "OLYMPUS E510 Digital Cameras Simulator and Trainer" is possible to divide into 3 parts - general, specific and conclusion. Introductory general part aims to describe Olympus E510 camera - all it's modes' operation is described in a form of a brief manual. Next segment of the general part deals with the technologies used for the implementation, mainly from Adobe. The second, specific part deals with the specifics of the implementation of the Olympus E510 camera simulator, based on the knowledge contained in the first part of the work. The paper is concluded by the evaluation of the implementation from the viewpoint of usage of the specific technology, and compared with possible alternatives, with advantages/disadvantages being highlihted.
Significance and role of the contemporary Czech scientific zoological illustration in educational literature

(in English): The diploma thesis focuses on the Czech contemporary scientific zoological illustration since 20th century till today. In the beginning it describes history and development of the scientific zoological illustration in Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis describes in detail the scientific zoological illustration in period since the 20th century till today. It reveals it's form, influences, techniques used and the work of it's main representatives. Thesis introduces realistic zoological illustration as used in professional and educational literature. It will try to uncover influence of computer-created imagery to conventional artistic techniques in the scientific zoological illustration. It will bring attention to the role of the scientific realistic illustration as well as its possibility to go beyond the educational purpose to boost reader's affinity for nature. It weighs the overall importance of the contemporary scientific zoological illustration.
Baobab Publishing Company-publishing companys profile, its media image and place on the Czech Book Market

Thesis "Baobab Publishing Company - publishing company ́s profile, its media image and place on the Czech book market" deals with an alternative publishing house specializing in child readers. Baobab has been on the market for ten years. In my work, I will present its past functioning and contribution to Czech readers during this period. The thesis describes the formation and evolution of publishing company, its profile, vision and direction. It gives an account of its editing programs and special events organized by the company. Space is dedicated to awards which Baobab has collected in the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as to the current issue of VAT increase. It may have a big impact on the Czech book market and on small publishers in particular. Furthermore, the work concentrates on the media image of the publishing company. The analysis is based on newspaper articles in Czech periodicals and evaluates how often and to what extent is media engaged in publishing activities. I also discusses the problem of the lack of journalists who would be continuously reporting on children's books, and would be able to evaluate them profesionally. Differences between user interface design tools

This thesis describes the difference between graphic editors, which are used by designers while creating design of user interfaces. In first part of this thesis are defined principles of good user interface design, which should designer follow. In next part are described differences between vector and bitmap images. In practical part are compared functions of four graphic editors. In conclusion is created table summary of these functions.
