Location of hosts in IPTV system
Pokludová, Michaela ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Müller, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with locating station in the digital television broadcast over the Internet Protocol. The aim of this thesis was to develop a general model for the location of stations in the system of internet TV. This work deals with the five known methods for locating stations in distributed systems, which compares as many criteria, such as coordinates of computation speed, accuracy of results. Based on the evaluation was selected optimal method, which has been incorporated into the simulation program IPTV and tested. The result of this work is the source code of the implemented methods.
Use of reliable multicast for feedback transmission in IPTV
Sobotka, David ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This Diploma thesis is focused on a part of network communication in the system of IPTV using the protocol to provide transmission of real-time multimedia RTP, specifically using the control protocol RTCP to carry voting results. The thesis further shows variants and ways of using reliable multicast and specific multicast (SSM). The main practical goal of this thesis is the program for the simulation of carrying voting results that I have created in the C++ programming language for MS Windows platform. The result is the client program receiving an inquiry from the server and reacting by application packets of the RTCP protocol. On the other side is the server program that picks up the packets and processes them. The programs run in the console mode, thus they have no graphical user interface. A user in the server program can create any inquiry and consequently send it to the client. Furthermore, the server can possibly view the current results of voting. In the client program a user can vote and possibly send another vote that will simulate other clients.
IPTV multicast model with RTP protocol
Ležák, Aleš ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis contains questions of simulation data transfer by ASM multicast. In simulation tool Opnet Modeler is proceed design of service IPTV. IPTV means television which is transfered in network by IP protocol. Data of IPTV service are sending by multicast transfer. Multicast is a technology which uses a group transfer. It is actually communication of a one source of data with many users. These users are receiving the same data. A main target of this technology is to decrement loading of source node and transference system in distribution of data towards group of users. Most often is multicast used in distribution of audiovisual data. Relation RTP/RTCP is simulated with a different numbers of users. Observed is interval of transmission of control RTCP packets. This will be reached by two methods which will be confront in the end. One is a theoretic calculation by course of a equation and second is a practical simulation in Opnet Modeler.
QoS simulation model in NS2
Balej, Jiří ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is described fundamental principle of IPTV and all the necessary conditions for high-quality video and audio signal. In reference is the recommendation of DSL Forum TR-126, where are summarized QoS parameters for IPTV. There is the explanation of Triple play service as a combined distribution of television, telephone and high-speed Internet. In one chapter are presented methods for asssure Quality of Service (QoS). There are described the method of Integrated services and especially Differentiated services. It explains a function of edge and core routers in Differentiated services. Methods for random early detection (RED) a scheduling are described too. The aim of this thesis was to create two laboratory tasks in the Network Simulator 2. The first lab simulates VoIP traffic in data network and assure QoS for VoIP. In the second lab is a simulated the network with Triple play service and the goal is to assure the recommended parameters for IPTV. To resolve the aim of this work, was needed to study the function of Network Simulator 2 and focus on settings for Differentiated services.
FTTH deployment in local networks
Horníček, Lukáš ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on the theoretical and practical issues of optical access networks. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the concept of the access networks known as FTTx. The second and third chapters focus on the principles and standardization of the active optical network AON P2P and the passive optical network TDM PON. The fourth chapter of the thesis focuses on the network WDM PON, wavelength multiplexes, solution concept and the LG-Ericsson EA 1100 platform. The fifth chapter of the thesis deals with the infrastructure of the optical paths for optical access networks. The sixth chapter of the thesis presents custom design of the headend for reception, processing and distribution of television broadcasting. Two custom access network solutions (AON P2P and WDM PON) for the town Bystřice nad Pernštejnem are presented in the seventh chapter. Case studies include the design of the optical paths infrastructure, central office infrastructure, end-user infrastructure, CAPEX/OPEX economic analysis and basic simulation in OptSim.
The Design and Creation of Application for IPTV Kuki
Hošák, Dalibor ; Břenek, Roman (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is focused on design and development of 2048 game for IPTV service Kuki metropolitan network Netbox. The game is design to fit into Kuki like functionally and graphically. 2048 is implemented by javascript and it saves player's score to compare with others Kuki users. Statistical data are processed in the form of scenarios for future marketing campaign to increase sales of movies.
Signalling Transmission for Internet Television
Burget, Radim ; Makáň, Florian (referee) ; Vodrážka,, Jiří (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
A signalization in an Internet protocol environment is commonly used for monitoring quality of service and other parameters of a network. This thesis is involved in transmission of signalization through internet protocol networks and proposes scalable solution for small and even for large-scale internet television broadcasting. The main contribution of this thesis lies in design and validation of optimal hierarchical tree on the basis of resources assigned. This is done in respect to geographical distance, network distance of each particular member of the hierarchical structure. For the design of algorithms simulations and global experimental network were used.
Real-time protocol implementation
Procházka, Jan ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Thesis deals with multicast broadcasts, discusses the type of ASM and SSM. Also deals with the principle of RTP / RTCP protocol for large multicast groups, for example, broadcasting IPTV. It was created a model for simulating the behavior of the network load in a large number of receivers. The application was developed in Java and uses the recommendations of RFC3550. There are also analysed processes of communication, initialization, log out, the structure of the data packets and signaling packets. The system is designed that can simulate multicast network and obtain the estimated parameters of the operation, or can operate in real traffic, for example, as a third-party monitor. In both modes, the measurement was carried out model situations. The results of the measurements were then compared. Principle and system control was described in detail. Output measurements are graphically processed and included in the work.
Optimization of data transit in network
Řezáč, Michal ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with and describes necessary teorethical units, together with analyse of ISP network and other input informations. These findings are further used in second part of bachelor thesis. The practical part dealt with testing of optimization mechanisms in the laboratory network. Thereafter has been done a wider tests of optimization mechanisms based on different ways of marking data streams and deploying these rules. The advantages and comparision of these methods were further evaluated.
