Oil fractions as a combustion engine fuel
Rejnuš, Miroslav ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the mechanisms of oil production, their composition, processing technology and usage in the automotive industry. The theories of oil production are contained in the first part of the thesis together with the composition and description of the distillation process. Following part deals with individual fractions used in automotive industry, such as gasoline and diesel. The last part includes alternative fuels, especially their history, production or composition.
Gaseous fuels for SI engines
Přibyl, Zdeněk ; Czakó, Alexander (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is processed a survey of alternative gaseous fuels for spark-ignition combustion engines. The properties and production, the most important components, infrastructure of service station of specific fuel are stated for these fuels. There are defined the advantages and disadvantages of each fuel. The comparison of CNG and diesel is made. The use of alternative gaseous in the future is outlined at the end of this bachelor thesis.
Hydrogen as a fuel in combustion processes
Friedel, Petr ; Brummer, Vladimír (referee) ; Vondál, Jiří (advisor)
First part of the bachelor’s thesis is focused on hydrogen as a fuel. Research was made from basic information about hydrogen, manufacturing processes, problems during storing and transporting. Another part of the research is focused on usage of hydrogen in energetics especially in combustion processes. Second part of the thesis describes modelling of chemical reactions. In this part is also composing software for chemical kinetics simulations. Combustion process of hydrogen and fuels enriched by hydrogen is simulated and described by this software.
Nonconventional Utilisation of Wind Energy
Zajíc, Josef ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis considers utilization of the wind energy as source of energy for the production of hydrogen. In the first part, there is described the types of wind engine specialized especially on screw wind engines and their construction. After that follows the description of dilemmas usage of electric energy addicted in time and with it connected problems with accumulation elektricity by the help of various methods. The final part of the thesis is than addicted to statistic evaluation of wind conditions, description and suggestion of the equipment hydrogen management.
Alternative and hybrid powertrains of cars
Trněný, Pavel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with alternative fuels for gas engine, hybrid powertrains of cars and finally electric cars. It creates overview in present day used alternative technologies of car powertrains.
Alternative Drive of Automobile
Novosád, Jan ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this work is processed a survey of perspective alternative drives in motor vehicles. There are main characteristic for each mentioned drive, their advantages and disadvantages and problems associated with their use in vehicles. The work is aimed at gas engines, electro mobiles, hybrid drives and hydrogen, therefore the most likely drives the future.
Hydrogen production
Poláčik, Ján ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with water electrolysis focusing in particular on pulse electrolysis. The theoretical part characterizes hydrogen and its properties as well as the ways of its use and storage. It also analysis various methods of hydrogen generation. It examines in details water electrolysis and its energetic and chemical balance. There is also an evaluation of water electrolysis efficiency and its improvement followed by pulse electrolysis description. Laboratory equipment for direct current and pulsed direct current hydrogen production are suggested. Theoretical expectations are tested experimentally. Finally the thesis presents the results of measurements, compares and summarizes the data. It points out the contribution of this type of electrolysis with its effectiveness. It proposes uses of electrolysis and the subsequent research.
Production and storage of hydrogen
Čoček, Bedřich ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to give an overview of production technologies and ways of storage of hydrogen. Selected tasks were solved by professional literature and scientific articles. There is a description of ten production technologies in the thesis. This production of hydrogen is from fossil fuel, water and biomass. This thesis also contains five ways of storage of hydrogen for stationary and mobile applications. This storage is in gas and liquid phases, storage in metal hydride and storage with help of sorption.
Power system model with the hydrogen storage
Vávra, Robert ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is creation of power system model with hydrogen storage in open source program Open Modelica. Thesis contain’s whole design of each part of the system, power source, electrolyser, tank, block of methanation and theoretical basis for they creation.
Hydrogen for Power
Kocman, Lukáš ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The increasing use of hydrogen in modern energy, has become the motive for writing this work. The work is focused on hydrogen energy and its aim was to compile an overview of hydrogen production technologies, the use of hydrogen technologies in current energetics and the use of hydrogen to energy accumulation. In addition to describing current hydrogen technologies, this work also includes examples of hydrogen devices and projects that we may encounter today. An overview of the above-mentioned technologies has shown that, despite some of its shortcomings, hydrogen has a significant application in current energetics, that is expected to increase in the coming years.
