Heat transfer on sprinkled tube bundle
Copek, Tomáš ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis named Heat transfer on sprinkled tube bundle deals with experimental assesment of heat transfer coefficient on sprikled tube bundle. Its goal is to measure, compare and evaluate values and trends of heat transfer coefficient on external surface according to flow rate of cooling water. Evaluation will be focused on size of pitch between tubes, type of tubes surface and influence of temperature gradient. Measurement was ongoing at atmospheric pressure. Warm water flowing in tube bundle is cooled by cold sprinkling water. Tube bundle consists of ten tubes located horizontaly beneath each other with smooth, grooved or sanblasted surface. Distance between tubes vary from 15 to 35 milimetres. Measurement of two temperature gradients 15-40 and 15-45 (15°C is temperature of sprinkling water in distribution tube; 40°C or 45°C is temperature of water entering the tube bundle) is carried out for each pitch and tube surface.
Design of experimental model of boiler
Kuba, Pavel ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of experimental model of boiler and identification of systems parameters. Model and measuring unit were designed on basis of research study. Data acquisition module NI USB-6216 was used to measure and transfer data to computer. Programe MATLAB was used to proces data.
Study of potential of heat transfer enhancement in process plant
Němeček, Zbyněk ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a study of the potential of heat transfer enhancement in the process of hydrogenation refining of oil. The simulation of the process and the heat-hydraulic analysis of the heat exchanger network are performed using the software tools. Based on the obtained results and the results of the optimization study, a new heat exchanger is placed in the process and its parameters are subject to further calculations. The aim is to study the possibilities of heat transfer enhancement for the newly used heat exchanger and to discuss aspects connected with the use of selected software.
Thermal Mass Flowmeter
Mlčoch, Albert ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with verification of the mathematical model of a thermoanemometric sensor of water flow according to the King's equation. The model and measuring apparatus are briefly described. The paper deals mainly with measurement and its evaluation. The model is gradually modified depending on the measured data. The measurement evaluation summarizes the current knowledge and measurement accuracy of a modified sensor model. Another part of this paper deals with the simulation of observed processes in COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software, how this software works and its outcomes. In the final part of this paper, the electronic circuit of the sensor is designed.
Analysis of mold cooling on tool life of forming tools
Bambušek, Martin ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyze the possibilities of increasing the durability of forming tools. These options include choice of new materials, coating, heat treatment, chemical-thermal treatment and tool cooling. The experimental part analyzes the effect of cooling the forming tool with compressed air. This is further compared to another method of cooling, namely conformal liquid cooling, and also with an uncooled tool.
Heat transfer solution of solidifying steel system with phase change with moving edge conditions
Calculation of thermal resistance of finned heatsink
Kyanka, Radim ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the problem with analytical calculations needed to define thermal resistance of finned heat sinks. First it describes how temperature proceeds at different boundary conditions at fin tip. Than it describes different mechanisms of heat transfer, equlation of heat resistance especially of natural and forced convection. To verify the results there is comparison between analytical equlations written in Matlab program and measuring results.
Study of moisture conditions in the wall after application of ETICS
Čermák, Jan ; Šot, František (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Thesis deals with options of the most widely used insulation materials on various aspects of the structure of condensation of water vapour inside the structure. It also describes the transfer of heat and moisture in structures, the properties of insulating materials and system ETICS. Its output is a combination of determination, which can or not be applied in the real structure.
The finite element method for problems of heat transfer
Čupr, Pavel ; Chabičovský, Martin (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The study is focused on the research of heat transfer problems when assessing building constructions. It contains an overview of heat transfer theory, basic principles of method of advanced composites (MAC) and an outline of currently available MAC programmes based on open code. It researches the building constructions in terms of the heat transfer. The assignment uses analytical and numerical modelling of Ansys programme. Finally, acquired results have been compared and building constructions have been studied with regard to acceptability of different sets of temperatures.
