Technology design for screw connection for extreme loads
Václavek, Jan ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Screw connections are a commonly used method of joining two or more components that are loaded with different types of loads during their operation. Screw connections are in some cases extremely stressed. The topic of the bachelor thesis is the introduction of potential types of extreme load on a screw connection and acquaintance with a specific case of an extremely stressed screw connection. A design of the production process is created for the discussed case and the manufactured components are evaluated in terms of assembly and service life.

Differential tackles
Mahel, Pavel ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and strength calculation of self-locking differential hoist. The hoist will have a lifting capacity of 450 kg, the maximum lifting height will be 9750 mm. After selecting a suitable type of differential hoist, the construction of individual parts follows. Furthermore, the work deals with the calculation of pulleys and self-locking assessment. Then the stressed parts of the chain block are checked. The work is accompanied by drawing documentation.

Function of the AtKUP5 transporter in Arabidopsis thaliana
Štočková, Hana ; Tylová, Edita (advisor) ; Hála, Michal (referee)
Potassium is one of the essential elements necessary for plant growth. It is involved in many plant processes, such as osmoregulation, enzymes activaton, etc. These functions are very often closely related to its transport in the cell and the whole plant. Although potassium is abundant in earth's crust, the mount of plant-available form is often insufficient. Potassium deficiency manifests itself on many levels and also contributes to the reduction of yield and quality of agricultural crops. There are many of potassium-transporting proteins in the plant. One of the important families of potassium transporters is the KT/HAK/KUP family. This family includes, among others, the high-affinity transporter HAK5, which is key for the uptake of potassium from the environment with low-potassium availability. One of the not very characterized transporters from the KT/HAK/KUP family is the KUP5 transporter, which I deal with in my diploma thesis. The aim of this work is to analyze the phenotypic manifestations of kup5 T-DNA insertion mutants and to characterize the functions of the transporter KUP5 in Arabidopsis thaliana plants. I analyzed the growth of kup5 insertion mutants in various environmental conditions and performed plant transformation to determine the localization of the KUP5 transporter in the...

Lifting equipment for a tractor
Smrček, Jakub ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
Main aim of bachelor’s thesis is mechanical design of tractor attached telescopic loader crane used for moving materials. Introductory part of the thesis contains description of lifting equipment for tractors that are actualy produced. Main part of thesis is focused on design of loading crane itself. Whole design is based on strength and control calculations of choosed areas of the loader. At the end are drawings of whole assembly and components of developed telescopic tractor loader.

Involvement of AtKT/HAK/KUP high-affinity transporters in plant K+ and Cs+ uptake
Šustr, Marek ; Tylová, Edita (advisor) ; Maršík, Petr (referee)
Potassium is essential macroelement and large amount of potassium is taken up by plants, because it's the major osmotic of plant cell. Due to various potassium availability in different kinds of soil, plants have evolved transport system that can maintain sufficient K+ uptake between several orders of magnitude of potassium concentration. In Arabidopsis thaliana mechanism of K+ acquisition is well understood and it's known that AtHAK5 is mainly involved in K+ uptake in its very low concentrations. AtHAK5 belongs to KT/HAK/KUP family that consist 13 members in A. thaliana. There's known function for some members for example in auxin transport in root tip (TRH1) or in K+ efflux in stomatal closure (KUP6). In this thesis possible involvement of yet unstudied transporters KUP5, KUP7, KUP9 and KUP10 in K+ acquisition and homeostasis in A. thaliana was investigated. In vitro cultivation showed that kup9 mutant has very short lateral roots in K+ deficiency. On the other hand kup5 mutant showed significantly higher dry weight in K+ deficiency than Col-0. Kup9 phenotype was successfully replicated in subsequent cultivations and anatomy of lateral root apical meristems was investigated. Root tips of kup9 were differently organized in K+ deficiency and they showed signs of early termination of meristems. To...

Blender Tutorial
Tomšík, Filip ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Kubíček, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the increasingly popular shareware Blender which has growing application possibilities in various branches. The thesis aims at a general description of basic modelling techniques working with mesh objects as well as curves used for creating models and computer graphics. Part of the thesis is dedicated to a description of animation abilities of the programme, an outline of dierent methods and a more detailed description of correspondent modules. The central point of the thesis is to introduce the reader to the basic and advanced modelling techniques and their use in Blender, in the form of a tutorial.
