Comparative analysis of the economic results of commercial banks VTB24 and Gazprom

Based on the results of above calculation we can determine which bank is more successful in personal or business sector.
Contradictions in Russian-European Energy Relations: the EU and Gazprom

The bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of Energy Relations between the European Union and Russian gas company Gazprom. The main objective is to examine common interests of the parties and causes of their conflicts. The first chapter is dedicated to the historical development of Gazprom and evaluation of its position on domestic and European markets. The chapter also provides information on the main pipelines connecting Europe and Russia, as well as on the european underground gas storage facilities utilized by Gazprom. The second chapter focuses on the legal and institutional aspects of relations between the EU and Russia and their approaches to the energy policy. With regard to the gathered information, the third chapter is devoted to the contradictions in relations between the EU and the Russian company, including lawsuits filed by the European energy companies against Gazprom and an antitrust investigation initiated by the European Commission in 2012.
Russian Federation and its position on the global natural gas market

The bachelor work deals with the world gas market and its development since 2000 focusing on the Russian Federation's standings on this market. The analysis of the role of Russia in the world trade in natural gas is based on a set of data containing world reserves, production and consumption volumes information as well as the main trade flows among the major exporters and importers of this commodity. Very important part of the analysis is mapping of the Russian gas sector and its corporate and political background. The so called shale revolution is also taken into account. Shale gas is about to have an impact on some of the world's commodity markets. The main goal of this work is to assess the position of the Russian Federation on gas market between 2000 and 2012 and then to predict how much and under which circumstances may the position of this country on the gas market shift.

This bachelor thesis presents a comprehensive view on the current state of the gas policy in Russia. The theoretical part deals with the mapping of the gas sector in particular stages of its development and important aspects, which will undoubtedly be of great importance in economic and political terms. Furthermore, discusses the world experience problems in the sector and the importance of gas exports to the Russian Federation. The analytical part is focused on the analysis of the structure of gas exports, the future development of Russia export policy, opportunities for new markets and risks associated with the use of alternative energy sources.

The following thesis deals with the changing role of Russia and China in the Kazakhstan's Energy sector. It focuses exclusively on oil and gas sector. The first part analyses the changing role of Russia as an important player in these sectors while the second part analyses China's role. The emphasis is put on Kazakhstan's diversification of export routes in relation to Russia and its interests. China is analysed as an independent player with its own interests, as a potential competitor to Russia and as a significant economic player offering Kazakhstan alternatives on its path towards the diversification of the export routes.
International Political and Economic Aspect of Russian Natural Gas

The master thesis analyzes the current situation in the Russian gas industry and outlines the outlook for 2020 with regard to the interaction of internal and external factors. Efforts were made to determine the extent of global financial crisis on Russian gas industry. Master thesis also focuses on the question whether the Russian economy will be deepen on revenues from oil and natural gas export in 2020 more than at the beginning of 21st century. The aim of this thesis is to highlight the close link between economic and political interests of Russia in energy cooperation.
The economic development of Turkmenistan during the reign of Turkmenbashi

The study analyzes the developement of the economy of Turkmenistan during a period of its independence. It focuses on a description of the most important reforms and changes which have been brought by Turkmen transformation and crisis of the regional trade after the fall of USSR. This economical developement is explained together with the political and cultural framework of Nijazov's cult of personality. The main accent is put on agriculture and energy sector - the two most important sectors for GDP and employment. Perspectives of the new reform course formed by Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov are suggested at the end of the paper.

Je přítomen i v jiných sférách hospodářství, čímž se stává vlivným instrumentem vnitřní a vnější politiky a ekonomiky Ruska.
Gazprom and the Russian Foreign Policy towards the Countries of the Former USSR

This thesis deals with the energy policy of the Russian Federation and its role within the Russian foreign policy towards the countries of the former Soviet Union. It focuses in particular on the Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom. The thesis inquires into Gazprom's relation to the Russian foreign policy and examines how and to what extent Russia uses Gazprom as a tool for enforcement of its political interests. It also analyses the implications of the Gazprom's acitivities in the postsoviet countries for the energy security of the European union.
