This work deals with Fairtrade sugar trade, maps terms related to the Fair Trade organization and Fairtrade trade. It also deals with the growing of the sugar beet and sugar cane and compares its growing demands, describes differences between production of sugar from the sugar beet and sugar cane and the importace of both plants and sugar for Czech republic. The second part of the work is research mapping knowledges about fairtrade, related terms and respondents interest in the origin of sugar they consume.

Tlolková, M., Development potential of Fair Trade in Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The diploma thesis is focused on fair trade in the Czech Republic. The first part deals with the main ideas and the principle of the functioning of fair trade and its organizations, the way of certification and the conditions for their granting. It exam-ines in more detail the functioning in the Czech environment and describes the prin-ciples and way of incorporating fair trade into social responsibility, communication tools, areas of activity and consumer habits. The survey consists of sources such as annual reports and public surveys and in-depth interviews with employees of fair trade organizations in the Czech Republic. In addition, a comparison is made with foreign entities and the possibilities of further development of fair trade, namely the education of future responsible consumers (Fairtrade Campaign), are proposed and by means of marketing and management methods (SWOT, EFE and IFE matrix, An-soff's matrix, Triple Bottom Line) further recommendations are given, such as set-ting SMART goals and processing more detailed annual reports.

First, I will inform you on how coffee is grown, processed and what is its chemical composition. Then I will give the information obtained about the positive and negative effect of coffee on the human body. The conclusion of the thesis will be devoted to news of double-quality coffee products, and about Fairtrade.

Program Suport for Fair Trade

This work has been created as a support for non-profit NGO Society for Fair Trade and Development Education. It's aimed to build a base of an information system, that will be able to integrate and simplify the organisation's running. In the actual version it's foremost about stock control system unifying the management of commodities on several affiliates and synchronization of book entries for accounting purposal. To make the further development easier, several modular components are introduced. The system is based on technologies of PHP and MySQL with additional functionality of JavaScript which is, for the sake of widest compatibility possible, minimalised and substituted with alternative solutions if possible.

The thesis describes Fairtrade and the international trade with tea and shows both on the example of the Kenyan economy. All three topics are introduced separately first, then connected amongst each other and all are put together in the third chapter. The aim of this thesis is to describe Fairtrade and the international trade with tea so that the reader is able to imagine the conditions of the international tea market and to form an opinion on how Fairtrade is involved, if it is actually helping and what influence does it have.

Fairtrade Coffee Production in Tanzania

Coffee is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and its consumption is still increasing. The majority of coffee is produced by smallholders from countries of so called "global South". Their livelihoods are influenced by price fluctuations at the world commodity markets. Fairtrade system strives for improving their trade and living conditions. The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the production of coffee on Fairtrade terms in Tanzania. Main research questions focus on the economic and social impacts of Fairtrade on the livelihoods of smallholders, the process of joining the system and meeting Fairtrade standards. Secondary research questions are the perception of climate change, its impacts on the coffee production and the role of Fairtrade in adapting to these changes. The analysis consists of 12 semi-structured interviews conducted with smallholders from Kagera Cooperative Union (KCU) and Karagwe District Cooperative Union (KDCU) from Lake Victoria region. The results show ambiguous positive impacts. On one hand, better availability of education and medical services, but also different profits from social premium in both unions and criticism of one of the main benefits of Fairtrade - the purchase price, which is too low according to most of the respondents. The effect of the fairtrade system on coffee growing - regional case studies

Coffee growing is an important part of economy for many countries. It often is their only source of economic income. Global market price instability can highly influence their economic situation. Fair Trade organizations are trying to preclude this trend by guaranteeing stable purchase prices. Nicaragua, Guatemala, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and Malawi have been chosen for regional case studies, which analyze the work and the impact of the Fair Trade organizations on coffee growing and overall agriculture production of these countries.

Fair Trade - analysis of the selected product – TEA

The thesis on regards the topic Fair Trade - Analysis of selected products - tea, and discusses the international trade in commodities with regard to the human factor, where business conditions are not primarily aimed at fighting competition. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part explaining the concepts, history and vision associated with Fair Trade and tea. The second part is practical, its main objective is a field research, which is finding the awareness of the population of the Czech Republic about Fair Trade and tea. Finally, the thesis tries to outline other options how to better inform the Czech population on Fair trade and to increase the sale of products.

Marketing communication of fair trade

This thesis focuses on how fair trade and its brand are communicated on the market. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of marketing, marketing communication and marketing research. The practical part describes the general meaning of fair trade and its main principles and goals. The following section is devoted to the analysis of recent marketing activities. The main research investigates the level of knowledge of fair trade among Czech consumers. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research and also contains suggestions for improving the consumer awareness.
