North-South regionalism in the U.S. and Latin American relations

The content of this thesis is an analysis of North-South regionalism within the American continent. Specifically, the approach of the United States as a representative of developed countries and Latin American countries as representative of developing countries to the liberalization of mutual economic relations. Chapter one deals with the issue of North-South regionalism and approaches of the most developed countries to this type of liberalization. Chapter two analyses the attitude of the U.S. and Latin American to the liberalization of their relations. Chapter three describes the approaches of concrete Latin American countries (Chile, Venezuela, Brazil) with respect to their different economic and business strategies applied in their foreign policy.
UNASUR - analysis of the Southamerican integration

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to clarify the process of integration in the region known as Latin America. In Part 2:- Theory, I define borders and analyze the origin of the term "Latin America". I also deal with the theories of terms related to the topic. In the following section, I analyze the historical development of integration, while exploring the influence of the United States´ tendency to integrate into Latin America. The main subject of analysis is the organization UNASUR. I will try to illustrate its institutional structure, goals, and successful projects.

The work deals with the role of the U.S. and Mexico in NAFTA and with the reasons for the entry. The thesis focuses on the objectives and organization of the Agreement, while exploring fundamental problem - migration. Then focuses on the steps of presidents Obama and Calderón and evaluates pending negotiations on the FTAA.
The trade policy of France and Canada in the sector of agriculture (comparison)

This thesis deals with a summary and comparison of trade policies of selected states - France and Canada. First part is devoted to the characteristics of selected countries not only in economic terms but also in terms of agriculture. Then there is presented the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union and its influence on the agricultural policy of France. In the case of Canada there are described two integration groups - NAFTA and the FTAA and their influence on the Canadian policy in the agricultural sector. Second part focuses on the trade policy of these two countries in selected product groups. Last chapter presents a comparison of these two states, especially their trade policies in sector of agriculture.
NAFTA in the early 21st century

The work deals with the agreement NAFTA. The first chapter provides an overview of the formation of NAFTA, its fields of competence, side agreements and institutional structure. The second chapter focuses on the benefits and problems that NAFTA has brought in praxis. The third chapter deals with negotiations on the FTAA and the reasons for their failure to date.
Regionalism and its effects in the case of NAFTA

Thesis is divided in two main chapters. The first one focuses on the theory of regionalism in the world economy, its new trends or in other words new types of regional trade agreements. This chapter also provides information about the development of regionalism, different types of regional trade agreements, the relation between regionalism and multilateralism and summarize incentives of a country to enter regional integration. The second part of the thesis analyses direct impacts of the creation of NAFTA on member countries, whereas is based on the theoretical part. Marginally focuses on the idea of creation of the Free Trade Area of the Americas.
Interests of USA and Latin America in the project of FTAA

The economic development of American continent, which presents an area full of contrasts, led after bad phenomenon in the 80's and 90's to such spirited projects as the Free Trade Area of the America's (FTAA), mostly supported by the USA. The author of this work is trying to find those economic levels that are common for both United States and Latin American states and thus would provide certain space for an agreement. The object is to gather possible interests of these two blocks in establishing a free trade area among American countries and to show how much similar those interests are. Mentioning current progress and views on the regional cooperation of both sides, the final prognosis of possible future trend is concluded. The current concept of FTAA is anyway unacceptable for all states together.
Economic Integration in North America

Purpose of this thesis is to provide clear and comprehensive overview of development of economic integration processes on the American continent. Key to this theme are the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) and the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). Bachelor thesis focuses on the gradual development of economic cooperation, evaluate the economic impact on participating countries and further deals with barriers to integration processes. At the conclusion are outlined the possible future scenarios for future development.
Chile and Integration of the Latin America

Thesis briefly mentions history of Chile and introduces three efforts for regional integration - Free Trade Area of the Americas, Andean Community of Nations and Mercosur. In next chapters, bilateral relations of Chile to four other countries are described, namely relations to its neighbours (Argentina, Bolivia and Peru) and to Brazil as a largest economy of the Latin America. The goal of the work is to analyse an effort of Chile for regional integration.

Práce pojednává o ekonomické integraci na americkém kontinentě. Nejdříve je představena dohoda NAFTA a její cíle, následně jsou nastíněny motivy jednotlivých zemí pro vstup do NAFTA a jejich očekávání. Poté se práce věnuje analýze vývoje jednotlivých členských zemí v rámci NAFTA. Druhá část se věnuje FTAA, vyjednávacím procesům a vztahům mezi klíčovými zeměmi.
