Práce se zabývá dohodou o volném obchodu NAFTA. První kapitola poskytuje přehled o vzniku dohody NAFTA, oblastech její působnosti, doplňkových dohodách a institucionální struktuře. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na přínosy a problémy, které NAFTA přinesla v praxi. Třetí kapitola se zabývá jednáními o dohodě FTAA a důvody jejich dosavadního neúspěchu. The work deals with the agreement NAFTA. The first chapter provides an overview of the formation of NAFTA, its fields of competence, side agreements and institutional structure. The second chapter focuses on the benefits and problems that NAFTA has brought in praxis. The third chapter deals with negotiations on the FTAA and the reasons for their failure to date.
