EU development - Comparison of the Czech and Slovak Republics in selected sectors

The aim of my master thesis is to create a comparison of economy between the Czech Republic and another country in the European Union. This other selected country member was Slovakia, which is quite similar to the Czech Republic, has a common history with the Czech Republic, but has already adopted the euro. At the beginning the history of European Union, the Monetary Union and the convergence criteria for the introduction of the single common currency are summarized. The analysis of selected macroeconomic indicators, the fulfillment of the Maastricht criteria and the analysis of medium-sized enterprises in the restaurant and hospitality sector was also carried out in practical part.

Selected Specific Issue VAT Intra-community Businesses

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of VAT in intra-community trades. Main pillar of the whole thesis is suggestion of solution for businesses operations process, between domestic company and economic subjects from EU countries. This way has been created the manual, which use legal provisions in practical examples, determines when are or aren´t intra-community transactions exempt from VAT and shows particular examples of VAT payments.

This thesis also gives us the analysis of the present status and an overview of acquired subventions of a chosen agricultural company. And the draft part of the master’s thesis contains the preparation of the application form for financing of agricultural company in form of grants.

This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with creation of business plan for a bar located in United Kingdom. This company is focused on import of the goods and the drinks from Czech Republic. The theoretical part is characterized by business plan, as well as business in Czech Republic and UK, comparison of the business in these countries, identification of the business form and also the conditions of import in EU. The practical part persue the analysis of environment and the plan itself. The output of the thesis consist of evaluation of the plan and statement if the vision has potential.

Investment Construction in the Frame of the Regional Development

The aim of the thesis is the basic characteristic of the functioning of EU structural policy and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the history of the EU, the development of EU structural policy, including tools for its application and continuity of structural policy in the Czech Republic after accession to the EU. The practical part of the thesis presents the completed project Leat Tasovie, which was co-funded by the European Union under the Operational Programme Environment.

Interpretation of altitude on topographic maps of countries of the European Union

The subject of this thesis is a discourse of the altitudinal component of topographic maps of the Member States of the European Union. The work is focused on the necessity of the system of altitude measurement and the reasons and methods of its representation in maps, explains the basic concepts, is engaged in the theory of the altitudes in general and presents the altitude systems. It discusses the historical and current methods of representation of the altitudes in maps in more detail and from a broader point of view. It is focused on the State map series of the Czech Republic and discusses the altitudinal systems of Europe, the countries of the European Union and the representation of the altitudes on topographic maps of these countries. Finally, it evaluates the comprehensibility and the clear arrangement of the methods used for the representation of altitudes in the available maps.

ESF and Possibilities of Human Resources Development Financing

The main goal of this diploma work is to clear the possibility of financing human resources development in the company Lemon, s.r.o., operational programmes introduction in the frame of programming period of 2007 – 2013, with the aim to programmes, which are determined for human resources development financing. Main source is European social fund and above all operational programme Human resources and employment. Partial objective of the work is to introduce how to set plan of the human resources development in the company Lemon, s.r.o. on the basis of the question-form and workshop, therefore to educate employees in a complex and sytematic way. Further objective of the work is also identification of proposals preparation, above all proposal structure and contents of particular sections.

The goal of the thesis is to consider various ways how to finance entrepreneurial plan of a concrete manufacturing company with the focus on project financing from the European Union funds. In the theoretical part financing forms from the European Funds are discussed. Practical part focuses on Montanna Ltd, possible investment objectives are presented. The thesis also identifies investment plan and deals realization methods considering financing from the European Union funds.
