The educational process in the elderly with chronic pain

The aim of thesis "The educational process in the elderly with chronic pain" is to assess whether and how being in a sample of the population - seniors educational process in the management of chronic pain. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with basic information about pain, defines senior, describes the pain coping strategies and characterizes the progress of effective education. The empirical part deals with the stated goals and hypotheses on the basis of which will be exploratory investigation. Getting the data in an exploratory survey and it will be conducted through questionnaires distributed to the selected sample of the population- elderly people suffering from chronic pain. After collecting the data will be analyzed. Followed by evaluation of the results of the investigation and monitoring of objectives and hypotheses of the thesis.
Information and education of senior patients in the frame of helth care.

Information and education of senior patients in the frame of health care. This thesis focuses on informations providing by health care professionals to the seniors age patients/clients. I describe the contemporary situation in this field in the Czech republic, and define main attributes and conditions according to the historical, social, cultural and moral context in the theoretical part of thesis. I introduce the transmission and the acceptation of the information during the dialogue between a layperson and an expert in two basic levels: level of rules, especially an Inform consent, and level of an ethical discourse. I compare an atmosphere created by law and rules with human reactions, either as medical professionals, or as a patient. For the empirical section of the thesis, I describe and evaluate experiences of patients with information-giving by health care professionals. I have chosen qualitative method for the main body of my empirical research, which consists of semi-structured interviews with 20 patients. The collected data were cathegorised, analysed and then quantified and prepared for interpretation. Barriers in the education of seniors

This diploma thesis is concerned with the barriers to education for the elderly . In the theoretical part there is introduced the theoretical framework of gerontology as well as other related issues i.e. the ageing, old age, quality of life and different forms of education for older adults. The practical segment of the thesis deals with the actual research and summary of the data obtained by the survey. The survey encompasses multiple aspects such as gender, age or in particular the age distribution within the group of elderly learners, or their highest level of educational attainment. The research aims at discovering whether the level of education acquired by seniors previously in life could somehow influence their desire to learn more in old age. Therefore , if there exists a stronger tendency to engage in further education among the vocational, highschool or university graduates. Other perspectives of the research are the geographical location of learners, their field of study or their motives behind the participation in the University of the Third Age studies. Activation and educational activities in retirement homes during the coronavirus crisis

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of offering activation and educational activities in retirement homes during the coronavirus crisis. The main goal of this work is to analyze the offer of educational and activation programs in retirement homes and findings and definition of differences in the offer of these programs in the period before and during the coronavirus crisis. The aim of this work should be to describe the current offer of activation and educational activities in homes for the elderly, how it differs from the normal situation and whether the current state affects the participation of seniors in these activities or their preferences. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part describes the definition of basic concepts of this problematics, describes the quality of life of elderly and society's attitude towards the elderly, functions and goals of education of elderly, possible ways of motivation and barriers in education of elderly and finally the importance and staffing for educational and activation activities in retairment homes. This rigorous thesis is entitled: Motivational Factors Influencing the Education of Seniors. The main goal of the rigorous thesis is to present the theoretical basis in the field of old age in the context of the senior age timeline with an emphasis on the senior education, didactic aspects and gerontagogy. The work is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part defines the issue of old age from a multidisciplinary perspective. Furthermore, there is a section on lifelong learning (education) dealing with the education of seniors, followed by a section devoted to didactic aspects of senior education. The conclusion of the theoretical part focuses on the specifics occurring in the education of seniors. The empirical part of this work is based on the combination of quantitative and qualitative methodology. A questionnaire survey was used as a tool for data collection. The aim of the empirical research of this rigorous work is to identify the factors influencing the education of seniors in the city of Jihlava and to formulate conclusions and recommendations for the monitored area of senior education. This bachelor thesis focuses on contact places for seniors Senior Points and on education provided on these places. The thesis is theoretical, complemented by reflection and knowledge acquired from practise at a branch office in Havlíčkův Brod. In the introductory part of the thesis basic concepts of aging, preparation for old age, active aging and aspects influencing life quality in old age are discussed.
