Implementation of a New ERP System (Helios)

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and bookkeeping in these systems. The aim of this thesis is to provide a theoretical framework for implementation of a new system. The thesis consists of two main parts. The first part is a theoretical description of the development of accounting and legal regulations since the last 70 years of the 20th century. Moreover, it describes development of ERP systems. There are also defined basic steps for implementation of the new system. The second part deals with practical aspects, where the information system Helios Orange is introduced. This part describes an implementation of this system which was made in one particular company.

This diploma thesis focuses on the process improvements and selection of appropriate ERP system in terms of small companies. In the theoretical part it explains the concept of process and methods of its analysis, management and business process improvements. There are also characterized the basic types of ERP systems and their potential acquisition process. The practical part is divided into two functional units, where the first one is the analysis of processes and proposals for their improvement in a specific company. The second part deals with the analysis and selection methods of specific ERP system for the specific company.

Master thesis analyses factors which has influence on a way of process management within utility companies. Thesis expands results of previous researches from the of utility market and information systems field. The main objective is to prepare an overview and comparison of specialized ERP systems to support specific business processes of utility companies and analysis of selected ERP solutions against factors that influence the development of these systems. The partial aim is to analyze innovation factors, information acquisition and processing to theoretical basis. The benefits for the reader is the overview and comparison of ERP systems, overview of risk factors influencing the successful implementation and effective operation of the ERP system, analysis and design solution to strategic challenges in utility industry and analysis of partial ERP system againt these challenges.

Market analysis of ERP systems suitable for small or medium sized businesses

Main goal of this thesis is to compare three ERP systems, that are suitable for small or medium-sized businesses. To reach this goal, several criteria will be set and according to them, three ERP systems will be chosen from what is being offered on Czech ERP market. After that, the three chosen systems will be compared, using another set of criteria. Theoretical part, that will explain the meaning of ERP, describe it's history and functionality, will also be a part of this thesis. Final part of this thesis will be a comment on strengths and weaknesses of each system, compared to it's market rivals.

Market analysis of the ERP systems for manufacturing company

The main aim of this work is to determine the main criteria for choosing ERP system and to compare a few ERP products on the base on predetermined criteria, specifically for manufacturing companies with focus on the Czech Republic. The content of this work is divided into a few parts. In the first part I want to explain the most important concepts such as information system, ERP etc. Then I will deal with czech market, specifically with current situation and I will try to make an approximate prognosis of the development of the market in the future. Finally, I would like to focus on demands of manufacturing companies on information system and to determine the main criteria of selection. I will choose a few products and I will compare them according to determined criteria. In the end I will draw conclusion according to my project. Nevertheless, the product of this work should not be a winning system, but rather the determination of criteria for choosing and at least partial approach of some products.

Project management and the possibilities of its use in a chosen company

The bachelor{\crq}s work is oriented on the project management and on its application in the chosen company. In the theoretical part there is described mainly the definition of the project management, the leading of a project and furthermore is in detail described an ERP system. The ERP System is important for this work because IT Systems is oriented on implementation of this system. In the practical part is in detail described the chosen company {--} IT Systems a.s., its history, description of the company structure, description of the professions etc. Furthermore there is described the process of an implementation project and eventual problems in this process. In the final phase of the practical part are shown the proposals for an eventual solution of the problem. As the methods of the analysis there has been used the SWOT analysis and the process analysis.

Analýza informačních systémů pro malé a střední podniky v ČR

Téma diplomové práce zní Analýza informačních systémů pro malé a střední podniky v ČR. Po vymezení pojmu malé a střední podniky podle definici Evropské Unie (resp. Ministerstva průmyslu a obchodu) se budu v teoretické části práce věnovat průzkumům trhu s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systémy jiných autorů, jako například Centrum pro výzkum informačních systémů nebo Zpravodajský portál časopisu IT systems, SystemOnLine anebo průzkum ERP trhu časopisu Business World. Nejdříve se zaměřím na to, jak uvedené subjekty definují pro své průzkumy nezbytné pojmy jako malé a střední podnikání, ERP, ERP pro segment MSP, jak odlišují (v případě SystemOnLine) ERP systémy od ekonomických informačních systémů nebo jestli vůbec segment malých a středních podniků ve svých průzkumech zohledňují. Další část bude zaměřena na metodiku provedených průzkumů, tzn. jaká kritéria byla u daných systémů sledována a také jakým způsobem byla publikovaná data zjišťována, případně jak probíhalo jejich ověření nebo aktualizace. Také zde uvedu vlastní metodiku použitou při získávání některých dat. V poslední části jsou uvedeny a okomentovány výsledky a shrnutí uvedených průzkumů a tam, kde to je možné, jsou údaje jednotlivých průzkumů navzájem porovnány. V případě Business Worldu budou také zkoumány trendy ve vývoji charakteristik ERP systémů pro MSP a jejich dodavatelů. Zkoumané období jsou roky 2002 ? 2007. Vlastním průzkumem je také poskytnut bližší pohled na licenční politiku dodavalů ERP systémů a omezení a výhody přednastavených variant ERP systémů pro segment MSP. Uvedeny jsou také základní podmínky a možnosti získání dotace ze strukturálních fondů Evropské unie, průzkum dostupných informací a přehled subjektů nabízejících dotační poradenství.
