Automated testing device for turbojet ECU
Halgoš, Matúš
This article presents the research and development behind the automated testing device tailored for electronic control unit (ECU) E040, which controls turbojet engine TJ40 to enhance efficiency and reliability in the testing phase of ECU. The proposed device offers significant advantages over traditional manual testing methods, including reduced testing time and improved accuracy. This paper will give the reader necessary information about TJ40 engine and E040 ECU, then will provide the overall concept design behind automated testing device.

The subject of this work is a comprehensive view of the design of a single-purpose test device for a turbojet engine control unit. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theory of testing, then the theoretical analysis is described in which the basic information about the control unit and the needs of testing are presented. The output of this section are documents, test cases and test procedures. In the second part of the thesis, schematic design of the test equipment was created from the test procedures and the functions of the individual blocks were described in detail, followed by a description of the creation of the PCB layout. The last chapter takes the reader through the process of bringing up the designed test equipment and the design of the internal wiring.
Predicting spark-ignition engine emissions
Jirout, Petr ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibility of predicting emissions of SI engines. The aim was to create an algorithm for predicting unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, based on ECU signals. The algorithm is based on practical experiments with SI engines. In the summary, the issues and the possible use of the created algorithm following the incorporation of EU7 are outlined.
Computational model of an CR diesel combustion engine
Kučera, Vlastimil ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Combustion-engine control is one of the most important parts of engine application and has a direct impact on its characteristics. Diploma thesis shows the preparation of a test engine and its installation to test cell. It describes measurement and data post processing necessary for common-rail diesel engine control and their application in the creation of a mathematic model in GT-SUITE.
Electronic speed controller
Šimbera, Michal ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design, realisation and functional verification of an electronic cruise control unit. Required inputs, outputs and controller of the control unit are identified first. The design and layout of the electronical components, including the processor, power supply and other necessary hardware is discussed. The algorithm for the control unit is developed in C/C++ and thoroughly analysed. The functionality of the cruise control unit equipped with the algorithm is verified through a case study performed on a combustion engine.
"Start&Stop" system diesel engine implementation into passenger car
Fajkus, Martin ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Rasch, František (advisor)
This thesis treat of implementation „Start&Stop“ system off passenger car with diesel engine. Creates summary of adjustments and changes necessary to insertion system, further critize effect of system on ride vehicles, as on the part of komfort so and safety factor, the advantages and disavantages in urban and super urban cycle. This system has not always been ranked separately, will be there described superiors systems, on which is implemented.
Proposal of cyber attack countermeasures on the connected cars
Golovkova, Nataliya ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of connective cars and the types of threats that can occur and how to protect against them. The general part described the general model of the car. In the next part of the work, templates were created in the Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool with threats and countermeasures to them.
Formule Student control unit and power supply system
Klement, Dominik ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis describes the development of a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) used in a Formula Student Electric competition. The VCU processes data from sensors located on the vehicle, evaluates this data, and then controls peripherals. The power supply system, integrated in the VCU, regulates the input voltage to the branches that supply other units on the vehicle.
Wireless OBDII-Bluetooth Interface
Bezdíček, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design an OBDII interface, which would have been able to communicate with a PC through Bluetooth interface. Designed wireless interface is able to diagnose all OBDII equipped vehicles, but the vehicles have to communicate by some of the supported protocols. It is possible to communicate with a vehicle using a software application or by simple commands in data terminal as well. Main parts of the device are a proprietary ELM327 microcontroller and an industrial Bluetooth module. The built-up device has been tested and it is able to display right values of vehicle sensors and to operate diagnostic trouble codes as well.
Testing of the Common-rail pressure regulation valve by ADwin device
