Attachment at Children of Mothers with Schizofrenia

This thesis explores the influence of mother's mental disorder, specifically schizophrenia, on child's attachment in adulthood. In the theoretic part, basic terms of attachment theory are introduced. I describe selected methods of attachment assessment and the associated attachment types or states of mind with respect to attachment. Further on, key information on schizophrenia is presented with an emphasis on impact of schizophrenia on mother - child relationship. The following empiric part explores the form and type of attachment of children with mothers who suffer from schizophrenia and its evolution in time. I was also interested in different strategies the children employ to cope with their mother's illness. Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) is the primary method used in the research, complemented by Experiences in Close Relationships Scale (ECR) and Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). The research results show that attachment of children with schizophrenic mothers tend to be anxious, specifically anxious-avoidant and disoriented-disorganized, more often than in the general population. Mother's illness thus has negative effects on child's attachment.

Negative Time Perspective in Adolescents and its relationship with the attachement

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of negative time perspective in adolescent age in connection with attachment style. In the theoretical introduction, both concepts are presented: (1) Zimbard's concept of time perspective, (2) Bowlby's and Ainsworth's attachment theory. The empirical part deals with the statistical analysis of the possible connection between the negative time perspective and the anxiety / evasive type of attachment bond. On the data found in the S-ZTPI and ECR questionnaires on two sets of respondents: (1) graduate students and (2) university students, I conducted a descriptive statistical analysis, the t-tests to compare two files and calculated the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed a strong relationship between the anxiety attachment style and the overall negative time perspective. Another finding was that women score more prominently on the scale of anxiety than men. Given that collections of graduates and undergraduates were not gender balanced, I could not make any conclusions about the differences in the negative time perspective between groups of undergraduates and graduates. European integration through sceptical prism in the European Parliament

The current rise of Euroscepticism has been observed in all EU Members States and has become the central concern in the European Union for governing bodies to deal with. Therefore, continued French dissatisfaction with the European Union, the British exit from the European Union and a rise of both left and right radical wings throughout the Union have appeared at the center of European debate. Regarding the fact that the only directed body at the supranational level is the European Parliament, it is necessary to understand how national demands for sovereignty can be projected on supranational level. With the ratification of Lisbon Treaty, the European Parliament was established as a significant co-decision body. As an additional outcome, political groups inside the EP got an opportunity to introduce their nominees to the Commission presidency through the lead candidate (Spitzenkandidaten) system, where appointed politicians were expected to present their programmes in all EU countries and become familiar to European citizens. The conducted study pays attention to the phenomenon of Euroscepticism and its place in the European Parliament.

Vascular changes and hippocampal atrophy in Enhanced Cued Recall test

Memory structure, memory assessment, Grober-Buschke paradigm, Alzheimer disease, and vascular dementia were discussed in the first part of the present thesis. Present study aims to examine the relationship between white matter changes, hippocampal atrophy and the performance in Enhanced Cued Recall test in nondemented geriatric population (n = 104). Partial neparametric correlations were used while controlling for age and Fazekas score. Medium correlations were found between left/right hippocampal volumes and free and total recall. No correlations were found between Fazekas score and ECR scores while controlling for age and left and right hippocampal volumes. Keywords: hippocampal atrophy, white matter changes, cued recall, ECR

Collaborative Planning in Modern Supply Chain

This master thesis describes and proves how companies can improve their operational performance and supplier relationships by using modern collaborative and planning practices, specifically the Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) concept. The theoretical part depicts main developments in supply chain planning over time, shows common challenges in the world of supply chain and offers possible solutions in terms of collaborative supply chain planning practices. The practical part analyzes the CPFR process between one of the leading providers of telecommunications services T-Mobile and its major mobile handset supplier Nokia. The concluding part defines gaps between an ideal to-be process of supply chain collaboration and the status quo process. Status quo benefits of current CPFR processes are described as well.

The thesis Supply chain management in L'Oréal Czech republic describes and analyses the supply chain of the company. The objective is to define weaknesses of the chain and outline future projects. It analyses the utilization of logistic technologies such as EDI communication, VMI and ECR. In the practical part it focuses in forecasting process in the company. The work suggests new processes and defines parameters that should lead to better results when planning future sales.

Práce rozebírá logistické technologie, podrobněji Efficient Consumer Response. Zabývá se příčinami vzniku, stručnou historií, prvky, přínosy pro podniky a implementací ECR v podniku. Cílem práce je ukázat, jak ECR funguje a jak je uplatňováno v praxi u výrobních i obchodních společností, jak ECR vnímají koneční zákazníci, a jak by při zavádění technologie měly postupovat podniky, které s ECR nemají zkušenosti.
