Risk of stationary sources associated with valuation of environmental damage
Procházková, Michaela ; Popelová, Barbora (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The problems with the environmental damage valuation which are caused by the stationary sources belong to the important issues to be solved. Due to the heavy industrial activity in the Czech Republic it is important to pay attention to the possible risks which can emerge from these sources and can impact the environment and the health condition of people. The thesis deals with the analysis of the present state of this problem. The analysis of the risks which come from the specific situation is made on its basis. The goal of this thesis is to propose the general procedure of the valuation of the incurred damage on the environment and the minimization of the risks.
Characteristic damage of Vehicles at Low Speed Collision
Lexová, Kristýna ; Kaluža, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with documentation and analysis of the most common types of vehicle damage caused by collisions with fixed objects at low speeds. The characteristic damage analysis is based on performing custom crash tests using objects that are different in shape and material. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the comparison of performed crash tests with vehicle damage typical for collisions of two vehicles in so-called parking maneuvres. The analysis is then applied in the assessment of real traffic accidents, which were identified as insurance frauds during the investigation. The work can be further used as a basis for comparative databases.
Numerical analysis of visco-elastic material models
Michálková, Veronika ; Lang, Rostislav (referee) ; Trcala, Miroslav (advisor)
The serviceability of concrete structures is a multiphysical problem where viscoelasticity is interrelated with plasticity or damage, among other things. This work focuses on the analysis and testing of an isotropic viscoelastic material model based on a generalized Kelvin chain. The Kelvin chain is described in detail for 1D strain and then its application to multi-axial 2D plane strain is shown. In this paper, a total of 3 studies are carried out using the Kelvin chain. The first study concerns the analysis of the Kelvin chain with damage on several benchmark refinement problems. The second study compares the results of the Kelvin chain including damage with an experiment on a three-point beam bending problem. The third study concerns the analysis of the Kelvin chain with damage on a stress relaxation problem in a loaded concrete beam and compares the results with the ANSYS calculation and experimental measurements. The aim is to analyze the effect of the parameter on the time-dependent behavior of the concrete and also the effect of the number of time increments N on the result.

This study deals with the evaluation of historic structures, especially historic masonry buildings. It provides information about the current topic of modernization and renovation of historic listed buildings. In the theoretical part are explained specifics of historic buildings in regard to new buildings, materials, which were used previously, types of constructions and all above are described principles of rating existing buildings according to applicable standarts and description of the most common and the most appropriate diagnostic methods. In the practical part are mentioned theoretical knowledge practiced for example the evaluation of historic building of a former court in Zlín. The examination also includes a preliminary probe on selected parts of the structure. The output of my thesis is a documentation of status and failures of court building, preliminary rating of building and a detailed design of diagnostic survey.
A comparative study of ultimate load and stiffness of metal-to-composite joints
Konečno-prvkové modely dvou spojů kovové a kompozitní části konstrukce schopné popsat progresivní porušování laminátu byly postaveny s využitím tří různých poruchových kritérií – kritéria maximálního napětí, kritéria Hill a kritéria Tsai-Wu. Problém byl řešen s využitím řešiče Nastran. Křivky síla-posuv, tuhost-posuv a hodnoty zatížení při hraničním posuvu byly porov-nány s výsledky experimentů. Jelikož faktor zbytkové tuhosti ovlivňuje výsledky ana-lýzy progresivního porušování, byly provedeny citlivostní studie zkoumajíci vliv faktoru na přesnost a stabilitu výpočtu.
Reduction in House Prices due to Humidity
Ocásek, Petr ; Šmahel, Milan (referee) ; Weigel, Lubomír (advisor)
Diploma work "Problems of house price reduction due to defects manifested with damp" deals with the issue of property valuation and subsequent sale of the defect. The first chapter describes valuation and other important factors relating to the Act valuation. The second chapter deals with the necessary documentation for property valuation and basic terminology. The third section deals with defects that could occur in the residential building as well as their possible correction. Another part of this work is focused on the actual valuation of the object to a defect with property damage and the last chapter deals with the actual real estate market and the subsequent sale of such property with the defect. The attachments of the case study is then focused on the valuation of the house and without defects and possible solutions and proposed procedures for sale.
Risk Management Contractor Construction
Štráchal, Jakub ; Ing.Tomáč Hanák, Ph.D. (referee) ; Marková, Leonora (advisor)
THE AIM OF MY THESIS ON THE TOPIC OF "RISK MANAGEMENT CONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS" IS TO DESCRIBE THE PROCESS OF RISK MANAGEMENT OF CONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTIONS WORK. THIS PROCESS BEGINS WITH THE IDENTIFICATION OF RISKS BY USING DIFFERENT METHODS. FOLLOWED BY ANALYSIS OF THESE RISKS. THE MAIN GROUP OF RISKS ARE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUBCONTRACTING SYSTEM. THESE RISKS I WILL DESCRIBE THEIR SIGNALS AND TRIGGERS. ON THE BASIS OF THEIR IMPORTANCE TO THE PROJECT, I WILL DEFINE THE MANNER OF THEIR TREATMENT. IN THE LAST PART IS A PROPOSAL OF A MONITORING RISKS, WHERE I SUGGEST A WAY, WHO WILL LOOK AFTER THE RISKS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION AND WHEN.
Crash-Test Data Analysis - Frontal Impacts
Mikulášková, Lucie ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
In this thesis are solved the problematics of crash tests. It is focused primarily on front impacts with full or part overlap. In the introduction are described the best known methods used in forensic - engineering practice for determination of energy equivalent speed (EES). Exactly specified impact tests, which are part of passive safety, are being addressed by several organizations around the world. In the practical part of this diploma thesis are solved four frontal impact tests, which were documented with the participation of the Institute of Forensic Ingeneering BUT in Brno.. These impact tests were performed to capture and analyze the data, resulting in the deformation energy used for permanent damage to the vehicle. Subsequently, the EES parameters were set for each vehicle.
Impact Damage to Vehicles at Low Speed
Holyszewská, Anna ; Kaluža, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with documentation of the most common types of damage of vehicles at low speed, so-called ‘parking manoeuvers’. An analysis of characteristic damage was based on tests published so far, the author’s own tests and an analysis of real insured events. The results of the author’s own tests are compared to the procedures of the insurance company in the cases of potential insurance claims. The output of this thesis is a comprehensive presentation of the results of the impact tests carried out by the author which serve for the use in the assessment of insured events.
