The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the elaboration of project for the building permit and for the construction of the VW Car Centre in Mikulov. The documentation follows the study maked during the summer semester of the academic year 2019/2020, within the AG033. The aim of the study was to develop an available, functional, and architectural solution. The bachelor's thesis elaborates this study in detail. The building site is in South Moravia, on the northwestern edge of Mikulov in the former collective farm. The building is connected to the local road by Jiráskova Street, two entrances, connected by an asphalt road around the building. Around road, there are parking areas for visitors and employees, as well as parking areas for serviced vehicles and vehicles intended for sale. The building is divided into several functional units, especially the sale of new cars, with administrative, sale of spare parts with a handy warehouse and authorized service, with facilities for employees and a spare parts warehouse. These units are reflected in structure, consisting of three blocks, different in height, adapted to the requirements for traffic height. In the first, one-floor block, there is a car shop, in the middle, two-floor block, storage and sale of spare parts on the ground floor, the administrative on the second floor. In the third block is the service. The parts are interconnected and thus form one continuous object. From an architectural point of view, the building is based on the surrounding industrial buildings and is flattened with a titanium-zinc overhanging perforated shell. The sun exposure of the building is ensured by curtain walls on the sides of the building, on the second floor by windows. Furthermore, the building is illuminated by skylights. In the interior of the sales and administrative part, there is a dominant steel console staircase, connecting these two units. The building is designed to the principles of barrier-free use.

Topic of the Bachelor Thesis is a design of the new car centre for VW group. The new building is located at the vacant plot in the city district Brno-Zábrdovice. The main area of the plot is registered as a brownfield number 3402 with former industrial production. The plot is defined by the streets Cejl and Jana Svobody on its north and south boundary, where the connection between those two streets is a typical element of the area. The east boundary is defined by the river Svitava. The plot is slightly sloping to the river. The building is divided into three separate volumes. Each of them is equal to the specific function – showroom, storage and car repair shop for VW, Škoda, Audi and Seat. The designed car centre is a single-storey steel industrial building without cellar. The part of the showroom includes offices on the first floor. The main structural system is defined by the steel frame structure – steel columns and truss girders. Vertical structural elements consist of two U280 steel profiles (showroom) and HEA 260 steel profiles (storage, car repair shop). Horizontal structural elements consist of steel truss girders and steel IPE profiles. Bracing system is designed as a combination of reinforced concrete walls and steel rods. The steel structure is based on reinforced concrete foundation pads with drilled piles. Foundation pads are connected by reinforced concrete strip foundations. The glazed curtain walling of the building’s envelope is formed by Schüco facade system, which is complemented with the significant aluminium shading system of vertical lamellaes Alaris. The rest of the external facades is demonstrated through the Kingspan’s insulated metal wall panels with vertical grooves. Floor and roof structures are defined by trapezoidal sheet with composite concrete slab. Roofing is designed as a warm flat roof with internal roof drains for the whole building. The waterproofing layer is made of SBS modified bitumen membranes.

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the design of a new VW group car centre. The project is based on the studio work AG 033 carried out in the second year. The land is located in Mikulov at Jiráskova Street. This is a part of Mikulov located in the industrial zone. The building is designed next to a former agricultural centre. On the south side, the land is surrounded by a field. It is a flat plot. The whole building consists of three interconnected buildings. Each of them has a different function. The entrance building is a car showroom used for the sale of cars of the VW concern, which also includes the brands Audi, Škoda and Seat. This is the only one of the three buildings that has two storeys with six offices on the second floor. It is followed by a lower building serving as warehouses. The third property is a car repair shop. The supporting structure of the showroom is formed by a skeleton. The beams are made of two UPE 280 profiles, on which a lattice truss is welded, supporting the roof structure. The second type of horizontal load-bearing structures are reinforced concrete beams, supporting the second floor and then the roof. The warehouse building is designed as a wall supporting system. The building has an industrial character; the facade of the car centre is designed as a ventilated facade, covered with DEKMETAL cassettes. The Schüco facade system has been used for the showroom glazing.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the creation of drawing documentation for the DSP and DPS of a new car centre for the Volkswagen group. The work is based on the documents in the form of a thesis assignment, dwg. drawing of the cadastral situation and architectural study AG32. The area is located in the South Moravian town of Mikulov. The land is located between Jiráskova and Republikánské obrany streets, and the terrain of the land is mostly flat. Currently, the land is part of a mostly unused agricultural centre. The building has a transportation character. Urban design makes the site as suitable as possible for collision-free traffic of people and cars. The car centre consists of a representative showroom and service. They have a different character and functioning, which is reflected in the design of the mass and the materials used. On the other hand, the building is united by the concept of color design, which is related to the visual identity of the Volkswagen group automotive group. The interior layout of the building is also divided into two interconnected units. A showroom building with facilities and a service building with warehouses. The individual parts are interconnected for smooth and collision-free running of the entire car centre. The 1NP showroom is used for displaying selected cars and for communication with customers. The second floor is used only for the administrative staff of the car centre. Part of the showroom and the service area are connected through the area of staff facilities, receiving workplace and automatic car wash. In addition to the connection through the receiving workplace and the automatic washing line, the service has another 3 individual entrances for variable access and is also directly connected to the warehouse for automotive spare parts and tyres. The service area is then divided into several required workplaces.

The task of the bachelor thesis was to design the Volkswagen Group Autocentre in the industrial part of Mikulov. The study was originally prepared in the subject AG033 - Studio of Production Buildings. Thus, I completed it according to the requirements of the DSP and DPS. Currently, the land in question is part of an agricultural cooperative. From the north-western side the land is bordered by Jiráskova Street, from the south-eastern side by Republican Defence Street. The proposed building is divided into three masses. This layout is based on the functional justification of the building. The showroom is used for the display and sale of new vehicles of the brands associated with the Volkswagen Group. It is followed by a warehouse, which is used both for storage for direct sales and mainly for spare parts for the service. The second floor above the warehouse houses the administration o*ices. These are connected to the showroom by a staircase. Next to the warehouse, there is also a service reception and a connecting corridor between the showroom and the service. The workshop also includes facilities for mechanics, which include changing rooms and sanitary facilities. There is also a technical room and a foreman's office. At the rear of the workshop is the paint shop, which is separated by a partition. The whole building is unbasement and except for the part above the warehouse is one storey. The showroom and the workshop are made up of a skeleton of reinforced concrete columns connected by steel trusses. The part of the warehouse with o*ices is then a reinforced concrete monolith. The ceilings in the halls are then reinforced with trapezoidal sheets with reinforced concrete slab. The façade of the showroom consists of a glazed lightweight cladding and the service area is again using a Dri-design Kingspan system. The partitions are made of plasterboard. All parts of the building are covered with a single-skin flat roof. Above the service area the roof is vegetated. The drainage of the showroom and service area is solved by means of drainage gutters with downpipes. The o*ices are then provided with internal drains.

The bachelor's thesis is based on an architectural study developed in the subject AG033. This study further elaborated on the level of Documentation for building permits and subsequently Documentation for construction. The topic of the work is the design of the new Volkswagen Group car centre in Mikulov, used for distribution, warranty and post-warranty repairs and customer service of Škoda, Seat, Volkswagen and Audi cars. The object is in South Moravia, in the western part of the city of Mikulov. The land is located on a mostly flat terrain, to which Jiráskova Street adjoins from the north. Currently, the land is used only as manure storage for the neighbouring cowshed. The land is located in an industrial zone at a sufficient distance from residential buildings. The building is compositionally based on the shape of the land, and its form copies the western line of the land boundary. It is an object composed of two masses of trapezoidal plans representing the showroom and service areas, connected to each other by a block, where the warehouse is located. To achieve the building's dynamism, the showroom and service parts are higher than the warehouse part. In the service section, waist skylights are designed, which support the regularity and overall rhythm of the building's facade. On the north side of the property is the main entrance with a modified vestibule, equipped with a water area to welcome visitors. The remaining areas of the land are used for roads, parking lots for customers, employees and reserved parking spaces. The vertical supporting structure consists of steel columns based on concrete footings. Above the showroom, the horizontal supporting structure consists of steel trusses with counters, and attached steel purlins, which carry the roof's surface. In the service area, the steel lattice trusses are straight and thus form the frame structure of the belt skylights. The floor on the field will consist of a load-bearing reinforced concrete slab. The entire steel structure will be reinforced with steel weathering both in the plane of the walls and in the plane of the roof. The facade consists of insulating panels with an IPN core anchored to the supporting columns. The facade panels will be divided vertically and will be made in white and grey. The grey panels are designed in the places where the strip skylights of the service are located and will thus emphasize the vertical division and regularity of the facade.
