Šumava cabin as a place of memory
Schambergerová, Tereza ; Hlaváček, Jiří (advisor) ; Krátká, Lenka (referee)
The work deals with the tramp locality in Šumava. It is based on available resources and interviews with people knowing the cabin. Describes the stages and history of this place. Captures and characterizes authorities and communities close to the cabin. It places the cabin in their context. It mainly describes the organization of the CHKO Šumava (Protected Landscape Area) and deals extensively with tramping as a phenomenon of spending free time during the cabin's existence. The diploma thesis seeks answers to the questions of who is a tramp, why the cabin is an important place for this community. It searches for common elements between individual narrators and also answers the fundamental question of what defines a real tramp and if the cabin is really a tramp place. Keywords Oral history, cabin, tramping, CHKO Šumava, Protected Landscape Area, protectors of nature, military lookouts.
Vliv hospodářských zásahů na změnu v biologické rozmanitosti ve zvláště chráněných územích: Ichtyologický průzkum a biotická integrita řeky Ostružné (levostranný přítok řeky Otavy)
Laboratoř ichtyologie a ekologie ryb, Sibřina ; Křížek, Josef
Řeka Ostružná, zasahující do povodí CHKO Šumava, pramení u Hadího vrchu a ústí zleva do řeky Otavy u Dobršína.

The teaching of region-general science on the Klatovsko example
NOVOTNÁ, Anežka
The aim of this diploma thesis is The teaching of region-general science on the Klatovsko example. In the first part of the work is the theoretical introduction composed from special literature which describes Klatovsko in many views. The region is characterized, defined and divided to the sub regions; either physical-geographical and socio-economical data as well as environment-conservation are reviewed in the theoretical part of this thesis. The work is not focused only on range of general science but also logical attaches it with information from regional geography. This data together gives allover review on the resolved region. The necessary part of this diploma these is own resolving which is based on seeking for knowledge about the region in 4th and 5th classes of elementary schools. The little spread method of mental mapping was used for research and the method was extended with questionary investigation. The results of own resolving are discussed and interpreted by suitable graphs. The teaching-utilities for either region-general science and geography were created on base of obtained results. The learning texts are prepared for direct-teaching of pupils and connected working sheets for reviewing their knowledge and quality-control of teaching were attached. As an alternative learning-method the funny projects are provided with this work. These projects are useful for teaching of Klatovy region.
Basic analysis of geographical and biotope reguirements of Strix uralensis in the Šumava national park and protected landscape area
LORENCOVÁ, Jana
My diploma deals with basic analysis of geographical and biothopical claims of Ural Owl in National park and Protected Area Šumava. The opening chapters are dedicated to objectives of my work. The chapter {\clqq}methody of treatment`` defines single methodies which are used for its own treatment of dates, i. e. marking of occurrence of individuals in topographical, geobotanical maps and air photos. The next chapter introduces specification of National park and Protected Area Šumava location summarizes existing dates to Ural Owl and to project of reintroduction of this specie in Šumava. Then my work includes determination of evalution, parametres and its own analysis of geographical and habital characterizations. The conclusion is dedicated to own evaluation of following elements
Review of the biodiversity of tree species commensurate with the altitudes in the vicinity of chosen nature trails of National Parc and protected landscape area Šumava
BATOVCOVÁ, Martina
I studied the biodiversity of tree species along the nature trail: Kubova Huť (1003 meters above sea level) {--} top of the national natural reservation Boubínský prales (1363 m above sea level), in the different altitudes. I carried out the measuring by the transect method. I divided all the route into 8 imaginary line-levels which were distant about 50 m above sea level one from each other. On each level 6 transects were delimited at right angle to the direction of the trail: 3 on the right side and 3 on the left side of the trail, always with the distance of 10 m between each other. I delimited the square areas of 30 square meters as transects. In each transect I measured identified the kinds of given tree species. I also counted the regeneration of young seedlings in 1 m-neighbourhood of each tree. I counted also rotting wood and regeneration of young seedlings in its neighbourhood. I also took down the number of snags in this area and number of regeneration around these individuals.
The evaluation of biotopes by the BVM method in the selected territory of the Protected Landscape Area of Šumava focused on forest ecosystems
KOUKOLOVÁ, Marie
Šumava forests are recently undergoing changes. These changes in forest ecosystems are partially caused by a spruce bark beetle (what is recently regarded as a bark beetle outbreak). Also the growing migration of the human population has increased the changes in forest ecosystems. Due to the influence of the human population some natural biotopes are slowly changing to more anthropic biotopes. The main objective of my thesis was to create the map of biotopes and to carry out their individual assessment and evaluation.. This map was created using the more detailed combined mapping Natura 2000-BVM (ratio scale 1:10 000) and compared with less detailed mapping Corine Land Cover (ratio scale approximately 1:10 000). Finally, the forest conditions were evaluated in terms of its naturalness and quality of the forest canopy. Data processing and analysis of results were carried out in ArcGIS. Maps of biotopes, created by the combined method Natura 2000-BVM, with and without application of the individual assessment are the main output of this study. The higher value (of 1,7 points/m2) was found in the map without the usage of the individual assessment. Accordingly, financial value was higher by 25,1 Kč/m2 without the application of the individual assessment. Using the Corine Land Cover mapping, the lower values were found, compared to the combined method Natura 2000-BVM, using both valuation approaches (with and without an individual assessment). In the conclusion of the thesis the forest conditions were evaluated. The biotope L5.4 Acidophylic beechwood was found to be the most vulnerable to the loss of natural biotope character. The results of the thesis contributed to the problems with the evaluation of the biodiversity at the landscape scale, even from financial point of view. The comparison of Natura 2000-BVM and Corine Land Cover allows us to select a more appropriate cartographic underlay for the mapping of specific biotopes in the landscape. The evaluation of the forest conditions in study area could be another one contribution for understanding the dynamics of the Šumava forest ecosystems.
