The analysis of BiH political parties programmes and fullfillment of strategies and plans of international organizations on a state level as well as macroeconomical indicators (unemployment, GDP), private foreign investments are the way to achieve so. It is apparent from the conclusion that it is not possible to implement a political system from western Europe into a western Balkan country without the latter democratically voting for it, did not go through historical or constitutional development with its political elites pursuing only regional interests.

Holíková, Alena ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Sršeň, Radim (referee)
The civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which took place between 1992 and 1995, is perceived as the most tragic conflict in Europe since the Second World War. The process of postconflict reconstruction has been running there for 17 years and there have been numerous actors involved. But still, the process has not been finished. The diploma thesis deals with the question of the role played by particular involved actors in the process of postconflict reconstruction. In the first part of the thesis the theoretical framework of postconflict reconstruction is presented. In the second part the contemporary situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement are outlined. The third part fully focuses on the analysis of particular groups of actors. Three groups of actors are analysed: the international community, the local ruling elite and the international and local nongovernmental organisations. The aim of this work is to identify the objects of those actors in the process of postconflict reconstruction and consequently to evaluate their opportunities to achieve those goals. The SWOT analysis is applied to analyze the role of the actors.

Consociationalism in practice: The case of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Fialová, Tereza ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Kuta, Martin (referee)
The model of a consociational democracy, which has been imposed on Bosnia and Herzegovina, has not started working -- not even after 16 years of being applied -- the way it ought to. After the last parliamentary elections, that were held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2010, the effort to assemble the government lasted for 16 months. Moreover, the Serbians, since contracting the Dayton Agreement, which was in fact proposed by the international community, have had rather separatist tendencies. The Croats are not satisfied with the current form of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they have to live along with the Bosnians. They demand a creation of the third entity within the regions occupied mostly by their nation. The Bosnians, however, want the country to head towards a unitary state instead. These are not the only conflicts and issues impeding the effective function of the political system. This thesis primarily concentrates on analyzing the causes which constrain from a successful functioning of a consociational democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The conflict in Yugoslavia and the world political figures
Bidlová, Veronika ; Lisa, Aleš (advisor) ; Prorok, Vladimír (referee)
The bachelor's thesis analyzes the armed conflicts in the 90s of 20th century in relation to splitting up Yugoslavia in Chroatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo. The author focuses on the question how the prominent world political figures faced up to these conflicts and how they were engaged in them before the conflicts broke out, throughout them and during their final period and following peace settlement. The aim of this work is to prove that the primitive brutality of these conflicts was to a great extent caused by the reluctant and non-uniform stand of the global political figures.
