Implementation of a computer game with themes of board and card games
Haraším, Richard ; Strouhal, Jonáš (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
Thesis presents the design and implementation of a demo version of a roguelite-style computer game that combines elements of board and card games. The thematic focus is on the treatment of purgatory and the phenomenon of mutations. The author explores the possibilities of adapting the genre to new approaches. In particular, issues of automation and procedural environments. Based on his previous work, the author focuses on working with 2D graphics and specific game mechanics. The visuals will work with a dark to horror atmosphere and aesthetic. The goal is to present the complete process of creating a computer game and present a working demo. Part of the overall vision of the project is to design the marketing strategy, business model and how to complete the game into a full version.
Board Game User Interface with a Camera
Dále aplikace analyzuje stav hry a rozhodne o svém následujícím tahu.
Pandemic - A Multiplayer Game in Spatial Augmented Reality
Januška, Filip ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create a board game for the interactive projector Hachi Infinite M1. The created game is an adaptation of the classic board game Pandemic, which is enhanced with various new game mechanisms, which suitably use the advantages of the digital version. The application was implemented in the Unity game engine for Android devices. The thesis discusses the topic of augmented reality and its possible uses in various fields, including the gaming industry.
Graphical Interface for Board Games on Android Platform
Kasper, Valter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This work presents a design and implementation of graphic user interfaces for board games. The objects of the investigation were various types of board games and graphic effects for virtual board game scene. We have developed a user interface design for different games. In the following sections the OpenGL ES library and its application to the Android platform are characterized. We explored the possibility of implementation in the native code. We have developed a system for plug-ins that allows implementing game logic in scripting language and defining the virtual scene for board game in XML language.
Arimaa
Kanis, Martin ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Arimaa is a board game with simple rules. It is simple for human but at the same time difficult for computers. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize with game playing methods with features of the artificial intelligence. The next aim is to design and implement the program, that would be able to play against others players and programs. The most important features of the program are move generation, search and evaluation of positions. At the end, the program was tested on the game server, where played against others programs.
Multiplayer Game for a Mobile Device
Čechák, Daniel ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and develop a simple and yet fun game for mobile devices, which can entertain players and make their moments of rest more pleasant. The game is developed in Unity. It is a board game for 2-4 players and contains four minigames. Players move around the board using dice rolls and are affected by bonuses gained in minigames based on their skill. The thesis describes the process of designing this game as well as its implementation. Last but not least, the work includes several methods of testing for this game. The game has been published and is freely available on Google Play under the name MiniBoard Champ.
Ghost Stories Board Game GUI
Sládek, Tomáš ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kubát, David (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the design and implementation of a PC version of a cooperative board game called Ghost Stories. The resulting application allows for both local and online playing. The text of this thesis details the chosen game and its rules, design and implementation of the application itself, testing and the evaluation of results. The output of this thesis is an application divided into server and client parts, written in C++ using the Qt 4.8 framework and its featured QML language for GUI creation.
The Computer Game Inspired by a Desk Game
Mikuláštík, David ; Lojda, Jakub (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with a transformation of a board game to a computer game and its implementation. Its summarizes rules of original game and discusses about issues of transformation them to rules of the computer game. It describes practical aspects of implementation and usage of design patterns. It evaluates feedback and design further development of the game.
Support for Sagrada Game on Mobile Phone with OS Android
Trněný, Jan ; Švec, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create support application for board game Sagrada on mobile devices with OS Android. The solution consist of detection and recognition of the game pattern card and dices on board using the OpenCV library. Subsequently, support is provided, in any state of the game, for points calculation and rules checking for any number of players. These functions allow management of data for multiple users on one mobile device and help with faster rules checking and points calculation. Functions also help for beginners in understanding the game.
Projected User Interface - Board Game
Vizina, Petr ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zahrádka, Jiří (advisor)
This paper deals with study of possibilities and use of projected user interfaces, which are based on a camera-projector system.  The purpose is to create functional application, that using projector to display user interface of application and camera for  capturing user interaction with the projected interface. Created application is supposed to be a simulation of board game called "Mill". The result is a functional application of board game, that utilizes tools for calibration of the camera-projector system with physical calibration pattern and hand detection in captured scene.
