A child with autism spectrum disorder in kindergarten
KRÁLOVÁ, Daniela
The thesis examines preschool education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The theoretical part focuses on defining the signs of ASD, the most commonly used therapies, the methods of working with children with ASD, and examples of developmental activities. In addition, it describes educational facilities and support services for parents. The aim of the thesis was to map the experience of parents, teachers, and assistants with the preschool education of children with ASD. The research sample consisted of two families with a preschool child with ASD, teachers, and teacher's assistants in special preschool education and regular preschool education. The data were gathered using a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews. The research part focused on social adaptation, the attitude to preschool education of children with ASD, and cooperation between parents, teachers, and counselling services. The results indicated the lasting stigma against special preschool education, parents strongly preferred inclusive education for their children in regular preschool. In contrast, the teachers emphasised the potential for greater development of a child in a special preschool education due to the individual approach and specialized methods. The interviews also supported the importance of early care and the necessity of active cooperation between parents, teachers, and counselling services.

Open Therapy of Autism, Therapy for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
ŠVONCOVÁ, Adéla
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Open Therapy of Autism (O.T.A.), a therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out parents' satisfaction with the results of O.T.A. therapy for their children. In view of the aim, qualitative research was chosen, which was conducted in the Prague area with parents of children with autism spectrum disorder who attend O.T.A. therapy. How satisfied are parents with the outcome of O.T.A. for their children? The most appropriate method to obtain data was a semi-structured interview with parents who attend the Autism Therapy Centre in Prague. The main benefit may be for parents who are considering therapy, as the work provides real experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. Furthermore, the work can be beneficial for the Autism Therapy Centre as feedback on their work - what to keep, what to continue or, on the contrary, what to improve. The results showed that parents of children with autism spectrum disorders are satisfied with the therapy and its results. In conclusion, they all agreed that their children had made progress since entering the therapeutic process, especially in the areas of communication and managing emotions. The most frequently cited disadvantages were frequently mentioned financial difficulty of the therapy and the poor local accessibility, as most parents have to commute to the therapy, which is associated with time consuming. All parents want to continue the therapy.

The process s of adaptation of preschool children with ASD in kindergartens
FINKOVÁ, Iveta
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse how children with autism spectrum disorder adapt in different situations, how they manage the adaptation process as such and at the same time to find possibilities that can help teachers and parents during further adaptation. In order to achieve the given goal, I have chosen two methods, which are the method of observation and an interview with parents/educators. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis is divided into 7 chapters in which I have presented the information I have obtained from books and online sources. The practical part describes the progress of both methods and also the answers to the chosen areas that were created to process the interviews. It then contains a conclusion and summary of the results. The results show that the most important thing for adaptation is the individual approach, patience, and most importantly communication between the parent and the teacher, because that makes it much easier to get closer to the child, understand him/her and then figure out what approach to choose in order to get the best result and progress for the child. At the same time, it is important not to put much pressure on the child during the adaptation process and to let the child get used to it and be happy, because if we put demands on the child from the beginning, it can be stressful for the child and then he or she.
Development of Interests in Autism Children Using Applied Behavior Analysis
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor's thesis deals with developing interests of children with ASD using applied behavior analysis. The main objective was to determine how long it takes to arouse interest in an object (toy) for a child with ASD and how long the child would interact with this new object. The development of interests was explored within the framework of systematic pedagogical interventions with four children with ASD in a special education primary school for a period of five weeks. Favourite activities were paired with neutral objects, transforming the neutral stimulus into an object that children would seek out. The thesis includes a brief introductory presentation on the issue of autism and the basic principles of applied-behavior-analysis-based interventions. Furthermore, the progress of the research inquiry, summary, and discussion of findings are presented in detail.
