Android components for business applications
Tupec, Pavel ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Chaloupka, Miloš (referee)
Today, in the era of mobile technology boom, more and more companies equip their employees working in the field (salesmen, insurance agents, service workers etc.) with mobile applications in order to improve the efficiency of their work. On the market, there exist several universal applications which, however, require using some middleware, or they cannot be sufficiently modified to the customer specific needs. In this case comes the development of custom mobile application. The aim of this work is to analyze the requirements for such applications and based on this analysis propose a set of reusable components that will facilitate the development of these native applications on the Android platform. This work will also include a pilot application demonstrating the use of individual components on the sample data. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Google Android Graffiti
Sipták, Daniel ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
The present study is dedicated to the design, analysis and implementation of software keyboard on Android OS. The keyboard will use customizable single-stroke letters to represnet input characters. In this paper we analyze possible solutions and propose various algorithms to recognize the stroke and we also test them for their accuracy.
Secure Communicator
Gažo, Matúš ; Galamboš, Leo (advisor) ; Peterka, Jiří (referee)
Secured long-distance communication has always been an important topic for people handling sensitive information. Now with the arrival of ``intelligent`` mobile phones eavesdropping and information gathering is as easy as never. Luckily smartphones present not only problems in terms of security but also an opportunity to protect ones privacy. This thesis attempts to construct a generic software architecture of a communicator which could be capable of transferring voice, video and other various forms of binary data in a secure way. It will analyse and use different communication channels to reach a maximum level of data authenticity, integrity and confidentiality in an environment where a central security element needs to be avoided. The resulting architecture will be tested on a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) application prototype for the mobile Google Android platform to show whether the approach is practically usable on currently available phones.
KarlFTP: FTP client for Android devices
Hanzeli, Michal ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Hnětynka, Petr (referee)
The goal of this thesis was to create a FTP client application named KarlFTP for mobile devices with Android OS. With KarlFTP we implemented a new approach in which users interact with this type of application by using background threads. Our application offers modern user interface and additional functions which enhance the user experience. The thesis contains brief description of functionality, design and implementation of the program. It also introduces some of the available applications and problems we have encountered while using them. The program was created for Android OS in Java programming language. Czech developers and mobile platforms
Alexandre, Berenika ; Švelch, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Huněk, Filip (referee)
This Master's degree thesis deals with a specific area of creative industries: development of mobile applications. The aim is to identify and understand the work routines of Czech iOS developers while considering the importance of design as one of the benchmarks of mobile application quality on the Apple App Store. I mainly focus on mapping work routines of selected developers and their thinking about design in the context of Apple devices and iOS platform, assuming that Apple establishes a high standard of visual and functional qualities. I am addressing an issue of application usability not only in terms of design of the user interface, but also its functioning and more aspects of application development within the ecosystem of Czech mobile app industry. The theoretical part of my thesis subjectively describes fundamental concepts from the mobile app development field and theories related to the topic. Empirical part of the study is based on qualitative interviews with 9 Czech mobile app developers and following thematic analysis. This study can serve as an interesting resource of understanding of the work of Czech mobile app developers, how they think about design and Apple as a platform or as a solid foundation for further quantitative investigation to confirm or revise my findings.
Rendering on "Looking Glass"
Kotáb, Dominik ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on rendering real objects from the real world on stereo display called  "Looking Glass", a device from the company Looking Glass Factory Inc., whose main advantage is three-dimensional rendering. The working roots are designing and implementing a mobile application that, with the help of a user, creates a format, which then can be projected on the display. The first part of the thesis presents the basics of 3D rendering, on which the functionality of the device is based. The second part of the thesis covers the design of a mobile application, which is based on the official documentation of this stereo display. The completed mobile app captures a recording in a straight line of the viewed object, while the application verifies the correctness of the movement. The footage then can be cropped, individual views of the object have to be stabilized and then converted to the format required by the Looking Glass. The created format is correctly displayed and creates a three dimensional illusion. The result was implemented on an Android mobile system.
Electronic Flight Bag
Výsledný produkt obsahuje funkcie pre plánovanie letu, vlastnú leteckú mapu, pilotný denník, katalóg letísk s dátami z celého sveta a ďalšie. Podpora offline zaručuje funkčnosť v reálnych podmienkach letu. Konečný produkt sa taktiež snaží inovovať nad existujúcimi EFB aplikáciami zahrnutím funkcionalít, akými sú napríklad automatické kontrolné zoznamy a náhľad v rozšírenej realite.
Android Music Player with the Song Selection by a Device Context
Implementation Of Application That Demonstrates Mobile Application Vulnerabilities
Šrůtková, Karolína
Nowadays, using mobile applications is a daily routine for all of us. This trend is misusedby hackers who attack all kinds of mobile apps from which they can get not only sensitive dataof users. The main contribution of this paper is a design and implementation of a mobile applicationthat demonstrates mobile application vulnerabilities of Android mobile operating system andthat could help developers to build more secure applications.
Privacy-Preserving Instant Messaging Application
Krajanec, Štefan
Instant messaging applications noted significant grow especially in the last decade. In fact, the Internet communication is cheap and convenient way how to communicate with distant people. However, this grow of user communication and data exchange through the online world impactsuser security and privacy, as it was also shown recently by WhatsApp privacy issues. Firstly thisarticle evaluates security and privacy issues of current mobile messaging applications. Secondly, wedesign our basic open source solution with the focus on security, privacy, and user centric features.Furthermore, we provide proof-of-concept implementation of our system.
