Suggestion Improvement of Economic Situation of Company Through Break-Even Point

This Bachelor thesis deals with an issue of costs of grown distillery (production of fruit spirit) and with the suggestion to reduce these costs using a break-even analysis. The aim was streamlined an entire production process from a cost perspective. The key concepts such as sales, costs, production function helped to determine a break-even point. Based on the calculation and analysis obtained I have proposed solutions to improve the current situation of the company. These improvements have been achieved through the application of new technological processes and the purchase of new technological equipment.

The Bachelor thesis focuses on cost management in an energy company Adavak, s.r.o. Thesis is composed of theoretical and analytical part and of the proposals of the thesis. The theoretical part explains basic concepts and analyses, which are further used in the thesis. The analytical part describes the company and the calculation method and system for the production and sale of thermal energy. Final part of the thesis is focused on the proposals of the thesis, which are based on the analytical part and cost modelling. This part addresses planned increase in the volume of thermal energy sales, and its effects on price and costs.

The result of this work is to design changes in the firm to reduce costs and to solve company problems to be able to survive in the time recession and prosper in the future.

This Bachelor’s thesis characterizes and analyzes the company Agrodružstvo Jevišovice, which plans a unique business project – the crocodile farm as part of agricultural tourism’s grounds. The object of my Bachelor’s thesis is the elaboration of financial plan and risk analysis. It comprises proposals of possible solutions of identified risks which should result in a successful completion of the project and its economical operation with minimizing extraordinary cost and damages.
