Influence of Advertisers on Media Coverage on the example of Motoring Magazines
Formánek, Vojtěch ; Nečas, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Miessler, Jan (referee)
This thesis examines the influence of advertisers on the content of printed motoring magazines through the method of quantitative content analysis. The thesis asks whether an increasement of advertising can or can not influence media's reporting on advertisers' products. The thesis examines three Czech printed motoring magazines: Svět motorů, Automobil revue and auto motor a sport. The theoretical part deals with the dual-market topic, in other words the theory of two types of media's customers: paying readers and paying advertisers. They can - and according to the theory they often do - differ in their interests. The advertiser is interested in showing his products in the media in the best possible light, on the contrary, the reader is interested in being informed as objectively as possible. The theoretical part is based mainly on McQuail (2009) and Jirák and Köpplová (2015), who deal, inter alia, with the dilemma of two customers. Part of the theory is devoted to several other research which have examined the same topic; e. g. in the context of Italian fashion magazines. The work itself is based on research questions that ask about a correlation between the amount of advertising and amount (and tonality) of editorial content devoted to the advertisers as well as a possible influence of...
Návrh univerzitního firewallu na platformě Cisco
Burian, Jan
The diploma thesis focuses on design of university firewall on Cisco platform. The design deals with important functionalities, which are used in the current solution. These include routing, network address translation, access control lists, VPN. The thesis furher deals with dynamic insertion rules, which are generated based on traffic analysis by Flowmon probe and its ADS module. The new design is implemented in a testing environment and its funcionality is verified. The thesis will serve like feasibility study for final implementation in the production MENDELU network.

This thesis deals with the creation of HMI in the C # programming language for BECKHOFF TWINCAT 3. In the theoretical part, the thesis focuses on description of .NET framework, WPF, MVVM, Prism and software tools used in the thesis. The following chapter focuses on creating a development environment and a runtime. All functionalities and capabilities of the created application are described. The created development environment and runtime are used and demonstrated on the sample solution.
The temperature field analysis of the subcritical accelerator-driven reactors
Majer, Šimon ; Šťastný, Ondřej (referee) ; Svoboda, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to discuss the problems of accelerator driven system, to describe the possibilities of temperature measurement, to create model of the spallation target QUINTA target in the program Inventor and to perform the simulation by using the Ansys software. The theoretical part is focused on nuclear energy and its potential for the future and continues smoothly to the issue of accelerator driven system (ADS), where it discusses the possibilities of using mentioned system. The thesis is processed from the point of view of electrical energy, focusing on generation issues and the possibility of heat monitoring. The possibilities of temperature measurement are discussed here for calculation and simulation of heat transfer. The practical part of the bachelor’s thesis is processed with the help of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, where the ADS research is in process. The input data and the size of the geometry were provided by the JINR research team and were used to simulate heat transfer by using the Ansys program. The results of the simulation are processed graphically in the last chapter of the bachelor thesis.
Investigation of Thorium Utilization in Accelerator Driven Nuclear Reactors
Král, Dušan ; ČR, Petr Chudoba, ÚJF AV (referee) ; Zeman, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the idea of using accelerator driven systems for thorium transmutation into the fissile material, which can be utilized in the accelerator driven systems and in thermal nuclear reactors. Thorium occurs on Earth only in fertile isotope Th-232. It can be converted to fissile U-233 by neutron capture and subsequent beta decay. The experimental part handles the data measured by the irradiation of four thorium samples by the secondary neutrons in the QUINTA spallation target, which was irradiated with 660~MeV protons. Reaction rates for the fission and spallation products were estimated using gamma spectroscopy and activation techniques. Furthermore, Pa-233 production rates were also determined in all experimental samples. Pa-233 and fission production rates were calculated in all experimental samples using the MCNPX transport code and evaluated nuclear data for high-energy reactions. The experimental results are of a great importance for the future investigation of thorium in the accelerator driven system concept, validation of Monte-Carlo based calculation codes and validation of high-energy nuclear models.
Design and Realization of the Bird Cage Coil for MRI
Sedlář, Petr ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Nešpor, Dušan (advisor)
The work deals with the design and experimental production of the model type Birdcage coil used for magnetic resonance imaging system (MRI). The work deals with the design and behaviour of the model type Birdcage coil volume designed for imaging system for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Volume coils are generally very useful for use in MRI, because in transversal design allow easy access into the cavity when the flow vector of magnetization. The aim of the work was to construct a numerical model of transversal coil type Birdcage of the predefined dimensions. The created the coil tuned the desired resonant frequency having regard to maximize performance in the measured sample migrated. The modeling coil experimentally produced and measurements also confirm the accuracy of the numerical model.
ADS-B and possibilities of its exploitation for the control of aircraft movement within CTR as well as along the aerodrome surface
Šíblová, Kamila ; Procházka, Radek (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the ADS-B system and its possible use at the Airport Václav Havel in Prague. In the beginning of this thesis there is described the history leading to the introduction of this system and then the ADS-B is explained. In this thesis is also included a schedule for the introduction of the system. Them the application is presented to the airport with integrity verification, functionality, reliability and safety.
Experimental Investigation of Accelerator Driven Nuclear Reactors for Thorium Based Nuclear Power
Zeman, Miroslav ; ČR,, Milan Štefánik, UJF AV (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
The Master Thesis deals with the use of thorium nuclear fuel in accelerator driven systems. Basic principle of ADS, present situation and future possibilities are described in this work. The main goal of the work is determination of neutron flux in spallation target QUINTA. In December 2013, an experiment was performed at Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna. Samples of cobalt, situated at different positions in QUINTA target, were irradiated in secondary neutron field generated by deuteron beam of energies 2 AGeV and 4 AGeV and beam of C-12 with energy 2 AGeV. The samples were measured with the use of germanium semiconductor detectors and analysed using gamma-ray spectrometry. Reaction rates of Co-59 products were determined. Neutron flux was determined in setup QUINTA on the base of experimental reaction rates. Experimental reaction rates were compared with calcula1tion of MCNPX code.
Data architecture and data marts in banks
Juhás, Michal ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Dobáková, Martina (referee)
In this diploma thesis I analyze data architecture and data marts in a bank area. Firstly I analyze different theoretical approaches to build the data warehouse. Consequently I specialize in operational and analytical data marts -- I analyze their business value, differences and location at the warehouse. In the third chapter I analyze reasons that have led to implement Asset Liability Management data mart. In the following chapter I analyze a life-cycle of this data mart not only from the technical point of view, but also from the project management perspective. The main benefit from this thesis is in the analysis of these aspects of ALM life cycle.
