Modular architecture. History and Development

My diploma thesis deals with the unexplored topic, which is modular architecture. The work is devided in two main parts. At the first I explain the issue of the definition this part of architecture, the main principles and the term modular architecture. The first part focus on the historical kontext and mentions the important milestones in its development. The most important areas, which are mainly prefabrication, standardization, mobile and container architecture and architecture of the space age are explained in the following chapter. In the second part I focus on the 1960s and the 1970s years and I choose and select examples of the realized and unrealized projects and try to give overview their development. In the end I mention the tmportance and the specific of the modular architecture.
The Function of Biblical motifs for Lyrics in Czch Pop Music of the 1960s and 1970s

The thesis "The Function of Biblical Motifs for Lyrics in Czech Pop Music of the 1960s and the 1970s" introduces the academic framework of the topic within the first chapter: the definition of the terms, the criteria and method for selecting the motifs and lyrics used. Then, the position of Czech pop music in the cultural and political context of the period is explained, which is a relevant part of the topic itself. Also an outline of the academic reflection of the related topic is referred to as well as the function of biblical motifs in other styles of music (rock, folk and underground music) with the emphasis on the projection of the stylistic differences into using these topics for the lyrics. It also deals with specific elements cooperating within the pop music genre with regard to the observed period. The following four chapters are probes into the pop music and biblical motifs issue. They are meant as the reflection of the the inner dynamics of the genre as well: in the second and third chapters the selected biblical motifs (general motifs, prayers, biblicisms and biblicalcharacters) are enlisted and the anylysis of their funcion and using for various lyrics is provided in comparison with their biblical message and introducing the original loci in the Bible. This doctoral thesis deals with fundamental changes in West German foreign cultural policy during the 1960s and 1970s. Its objective is not only to examine how and under what circumstances the first (West) German conception of foreign cultural policy was conceived or which institutions and individuals participated most actively in its formation, but also to assess the understanding and definitions of foreign cultural policy and its role in the overall foreign policy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Further, the topic is analysed within a broad historical and international context. The research primarily uses the methodology of political history but has also been inspired by cultural history and political science.

Inovation of rural prose in the work of Edward Redliński

This thesis is focused on the analysis of means and methods, by which Edward Redliński (representative of so called rural stream in polish literature in 1960' and 70') innovates and varies traditional concept of the rural novel genre. These means and methods are characterised through the interpretation of works Listy z Rabarbaru, Konopielka and Awans, the stories and novels containing rural themes. Main attention is paid to Redliński's original approach to classical rural novel and successive introduction of his specific variety, which is formed by the author. Also there is presented the way by which Edward Redliński varies traditional motives, or symbols used in rural literature. In the end of this thesis is author's innovative approach compared to the specifics of statements of other authors of so called rural stream.
