Eliška Petlanová's professional development portfolio contains ten chapters. First part. The preface serves as an introductory text that carries through the entire work. The next part is a professional biography, which briefly describes the author in terms of professional knowledge. The following part of the professional essay deals with the issue of environmental education in elementary schools and the importance of school gardens. The Synopsis chapter of the book presents a title called What do children need most? The topic of this book is a good guide even for beginning educators. In the next chapter, a list of literature that can be beneficial for expanding knowledge in the field. The professional analysis of the pedagogic worker deals with the view of the educator and serves for the image of the educator from both a professional and a human point of view. In the chapter Case study of the school, there is an introduction to the Hradištko Elementary School, where the author works as a teacher and teacher's assistant during the preparation of her bachelor's thesis. Possibilities of supporting children with special educational needs during the activities of the school club

The goal of the work was to prove whether there are possibilities of supporting children with special educational needs which are defined in the school law sufficiently reflected and used in school group. The author analyzes the lack of support for children with special educational needs in school clubs and points to a lack of information sharing between relevant subjects. The work emphasizes the need to optimize the information transmission system for more effective support of pupils with special educational needs in school clubs.
Environmental education in the after-school club

Title of bachelor's thesis: Environmental Education in School Clubs This bachelor's thesis is focused on school clubs, environmental education and possibilities of introducing the environmental education into extracurricular education of children. The theoretical part describes basic terms of the school clubs and environmental education, their history and offers examples of implementing the environmental education into the school clubs. Further on it summarizes possibilities of realizing the environmental education in school gardens. It emphasizes the importance of forming relationship with nature and the environment. The practical part of the thesis looks at using the school gardens as an irreplaceable attribute to school education. It not only forms positive attitude and knowledge of students but also provides school clubs with an outdoor space for leisure time. It gives examples of suitable and unsuitable plants and other elements for the school gardens. The thesis presents a draft design of a school garden with description of individual parts and plants of garden and its use for primary and secondary school and school clubs. Subjectivity in the evaluation of problem behavior in the after-school club

This Bachelor thesis is focused on problematic behavior of children attending a school club. In the predure of identificatin of the problematic conduct is important subjectivity of the tutor like type of personality with his own attitude, knowledge and experience. Therefore the thesis deals with social perception influencing evaluation of the problema-tic behavior. A part of the thesis is focused on evolution aspects of early childhood and certain role of school club and also on personality of the tutor. In the practical part of the Bachelors thesis after gaining some experince from other individual tutors I attempt to identify differencies in percieving and description of expression typical for problematic children´s conduct in school club.
The usage of toys in preschool age and the first grade

This bachelor's thesis focuses on research on the offer and availability of toys in kindergarten and after-school clubs and their comparison. This research hopes to discover which specific types of toys are the favourite of this particular age group and if it's possible to help children manage the transition from kindergarten to primary school via toys. The theoretical part focuses on toys and games in the context of development and education, including the role of toys and games and the impact of the environment on the adaptation of children and toys through the lens of pedagogy. The research part includes conclusions made from the interviews. It examines games and toys preferred by children, social interactions during games, the influence of space and environment, usage of games in practical pedagogy and the importance of toys in adaptation to the new learning environment. Obtained information can be convenient for educators and parents trying to support the children during this important milestone in their lives.
The experience of pedagogues with the theme of death in school clubs

This thesis targets the experience of pedagogues with the theme of death. I pay attention to the problem of grieving, acknowledging and understanding the concept of death. Concretely I pursue the progress of the concept of death, the experience of losing a close person and grieving expression. The purpose of this thesis is to find the experiences of pedagogues with children, who experience the loss of their loved ones. What kind of their personal experiences are and thoughts about this theme. Since this thesis is focused on after-school clubs and school-aged kids I pay attention to their development and fundamental description of after-school club and pedagogue jobs.
Mental health of educators in the after school club

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of mental health of female educators working in after school clubs. The aim of this thesis is to find out how educators take care of their mental health, what helps them, how they deal with stress and whether they have personal experience with burnout syndrome. The work is structured into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on the basic characteristics of after school club and the profession of an educator. Then I examine in more detail the area of mental health and mental hygiene. I also deal with stress and burnout syndrome. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of qualitative research, which was conducted using semi-structured interviews. The grounded theory method was used for data analysis. In the conclusion of the thesis, the main results obtained from the qualitative investigation are presented and summarized.
Projects in a school club
