Multifunctional Building in Čáslav

The purpose of the diploma thesis is to design a multi-functional bulding, which fill an empty space on the corner of two streets near the historical city centre of Čáslav. This building has mainly a residential function. Basement will be used for parking and as a place for technical room. Commercial use is forseen for the first floor. Other floors will be set by 18 flats. The main goal is to solve a disposition for given purpose, to choose a right type of structure and work up chosen part of project documentation for building permission. Blueprints will be made in a proper CAD program.

Years 1848-1849 in Čáslav and Kutná Hora

The diploma thesis ,,Years 1848-1849 in Čáslav and Kutná Hora" focuses on the expert description of events in the revolutionary years of two cities in today's Central Bohemia region. The thesis firstly pursues the characteristics of both towns in the first half of the 19th century. It focuses on the appearance of the town, administrative changes, school and theatre life, health facilities, significant national revivalists and also on the economic area. The main part of the work presents a brief outline of reactions on Prague March events both in Čáslav and Kutná Hora, mainly about the active participation of citizens of both cities in the basic National Guard. In the case of Kutná Hora, the foundation of subsidiary of Prague political association Slovanská lípa also occurred. In Čáslav, the thesis also follows the administrative and schooling changes. The work includes two comparisons of both the towns firstly in the first half of the 19th century and then also the revolutionary years 1848-1849. In the last chapter, the thesis introduces the situation in the countryside from the years 1848- 1849 and also the complaints of the villages of Čáslav region about the relationship towards the Národní výbor in Prague. Jindřich Freiwald and Czech Interwar Theatre Architecture

(in English) The subject of the present thesis is a complex of realizations and projects of Czech architect Jindřich Freiwald (1890-1945) in the field of theatre architecture and its putting into context of Czech interwar theatre architecture. The initial part outlines theatre building as a specific architectonic problem and shows the important moments of its evolution. The subsequent chapter focuses on the situation of Czech theatre architecture between the World Wars and presents briefly the constituent realizations of individual theatre buildings with their promoters, interior organization and outer form. The next part of the thesis deals with the personality of Jindřich Freiwald, his works and production of the Freiwald & Böhm studio. Subsequently, the crucial part of this thesis presents executed theatre buildings by Jindřich Freiwald - Jirásek Theatre in Hronov, Karel Pippich Theatre in Chrudim, Municipal Theatre in Kolín, item project of the Jiřík Theatre in Poděbrady, placing of the Theatre Na kovárně in Poděbrady, project of reconstruction of the Dusík Theatre in Čáslav and project of theatre in Čelákovice .
