TITLE: Injury rate in men's volleyball AUTHOR: Barbora Bočková DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Jana Hájková ABSTRACT This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of injuries in men's volleyball. The aim of this study was to determine the most commonly injured body part among volleyball players. The partial goals were to determine the extent to which injuries are related to playing activities, playing positions, recovery, whether injuries occur more often in training or during matches, and what the coaches of the extraliga teams think about the issue of injuries. The thesis consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is divided into three topics: volleyball, injuries, and recovery. The volleyball topic deals with the characteristics of volleyball, rules, and the structure of sports performance. The injuries topic contains a description of injuries, sports injuries, and the most common types of injuries in volleyball. The recovery topic deals with the characteristics of recovery itself and its selected forms. Title: The Injury Rate in Professional Female Volleyball and its Relation to a Physiotherapeutic Care Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the injury rate in professional Czech female volleyball on the basis of data from the questionnaire. Another aim is to find out the level of regenerative and compensatory means used during the season and at the same time to find out whether the available physiotherapeutic care has an impact on the frequency and healing of injuries. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis consists of a literary research of available Czech and foreign sources. To obtain data was created a non-standardized questionnaire, which was filled in by women players from the Czech extra-league competition older than 18 years. An analysis of the most common injuries, the use of regenerative agents and experience with physiotherapy were performed using a questionnaire. The obtained data were processed by software Microsoft Excel and by Chi-squared Test, Independent Two-Sample t-Test, Shapiro-Wilk Test and Wilcoxon Test. Title: Evaluation and Analysis of Injuries in Athletic Throws in Official Clubs in the Czech Republic Objective: The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the incidence of injury among active athletes involved in official clubs of the Czech Republic. Determine the time of their genesis, frequency of injury, time of healing process and the search of connection between individual disciplines and injuries. Method: The research was performed using non-standardized questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to 15 athletic clubs - Extra League, The First League and The Second League. In total data from 145 athletes were analyzed. For the data analysis was used software Microsoft Excel 2010. Results: The total number of detected accidents was 403 injuries. The results show that the most commonly injured anatomical areas of the body was the ankle joint with 24%. The most common type of injury was soft tissue injuries of the joints of the upper and lower extremities. They make up 65% of all injuries. The most common injuries caused on the competition was injuries of the upper limbs, in the training was the most common injuries of the lower extremities. Ice Hockey Injuries in the Professional Ice Hockey Leagues in Czech Republic

Title: Ice Hockey Injuries in the Professional Ice Hockey leagues in Czech Republic Objective: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the incidence, types, severity and mechanisms of injury in Czech ice hockey players at the highest competition level during the season 2010/2011. Methods: Data were collected by the non-standardized six-side questionnair from 11 teams in the highest ice hockey league in Czech Republic for season 2010/2011. Findings: There were a total of 559 injuries, 18,4% injuries occured during praktice, 75% during games. The overall game injury rate was 57,4 per 1000 games. The most common injury was laceration in the face. Collision with an oponent, with the boards or fall on ice caused nearly 38% of injuries. As for severity, 45,1% injuries were classified as minor and 14,3% as major injuries. Of the 419 game injuries, 65,2 % occured in forwards, 28,1% in defensemen and 6,7% in goalkeepers. Accident rate at floorball players with previous experience with ice hockey

Title: Accident rate at floorball players with previous experience with ice hockey. Objectives: To determine whether there is an increased rate of injuries of ankle joint at floorball players with previous experience with ice hockey than at floorball players without this experience. To evaluate the impact of the operation of ice hockey, the sport with permanently fixed foot in the skate, at followed up playing of floorball at the top level. Methology: For the purposes of this thesis was compiled multiple-standard questionnaire - questionnaire form. The research sample consisted of 100 probands - the first group of 25 probands top floorball players who have played at least 5 years of ice hockey at the highest level, the second group 25 floorball extra-league players, third group of 25 professional ice hockey players. Last fourth group consisted of 25 probands athletes meeting the conditions of at least 3 times a week training and 1 championship match - non focus on ice hockey and floorball. The resulting data were first analyzed and clearly captured in tables in Microsoft Office Word 2003. The propose of this diploma thesis is to analyse the system of working safety in lumber industry, based on Czech and European legislation and other laws and regulations. It is also important to study the technical literature in comparison with the statistics made by state and trade union organisations. The diploma thesis is mainly focused on the working safety in logging. The conclusion is also based on the data gather by means of a questionnaire, which was fulfilled by a sample of workers in logging field, and their level of working safety is then compared to the one of Lesy České republiky, s. p., the forest enterprise of Židlochovice, Vojenské lesy a statky, s. p., a division of Plumlov and a private enterpriser. Besides, my own investigation into not obeying the regulation of working safety by a self-employer was done. By means of all the gathered data a suggestion was made to boost the effectiveness of working safety and health protection which could result in minimising of the number of work injuries and accidents.
