Social legislation in Czech lands in the years 1918 - 1948 Abstract The dissertation deals with the theme of social legislation in the period of 1918-1948. i.e. during the so called First, Second and Third Czechoslovak republic. However, the foundations of the Czechoslovak laws in this area lays in the period of Austrian laws, especially from the second half of the 19.th century. Development of social legislation was directly conected with the existence of a legal regulation of modern municipal self-government and higher levels of self-government. Two very important acts were adopted in this respect: Act No. 18/1862 The empire's code implemented on 5th March 1862 "The Act on Municipal matters" and on 3rd December 1863 Act. No. 105/1863 The empire's code "The act about Domestic rights". For poor relief the "The Poverty act" (Act No. 59/1868 The provincial code) was enacted on 3rd December 1868. Based on the social policies of "stick and carrot" of Otto von Bismarck in Germany, the Austrian Government enacted series of Acts on health and other types of social insurance systems, which were not universal, but had differences for different types of workers and employees, for example for miners, factory workers or white collars. Application of the methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives for assessment of accidental death and dismemberment insurance

Decision making is an inherent part of human life. Every day we decide on little things, but also some more complex problems may appear. In such cases, we need to choose a more complex process leading to the final decision. To do so, many multiple-criteria decision-making methods can be used. These methods will be explored in this thesis. They will be used to select accident insurance according to the preferences and requirements of several respondents. Accident insurance protects the insured person against the impairment of their life caused by the consequences of their injury. Accident insurance is a commitment for many years, so its choice needs close attention. The choice of the insurance can be assessed based on of several criteria. Designing a model of multi-criteria decision-making strategy was the main goal of this diploma thesis. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part defines the concepts of decision making, multi-criteria decision making and its methods using specialized literature. It also defines the concept of insurance and its specifics relating to accident insurance. The practical part focuses on the specific solution of the given problem. The first step was a survey of offers of insurance companies operating on the Czech market that have separate accident insurance in their product portfolio. Based on these offers, decision variants have been created. The second step was to determine the five criteria on whose basis the variants were evaluated. After the general procedure has been established, the model has been applied. The proposed procedure was tried on a group of respondents to select the best offer for them. The target group, for which the procedure was designed, was set for people between the ages of 40 and 50 who do not have a risky job and do not engage in any hazardous leisure activities. Their preferences were determined by a questionnaire, based on which the decision matrices and weightings of the individual criteria were compiled. The optimal option was recommended to respondents.

Accident insurance on the Czech insurance market

The theme of this thesis is Accident insurance on the Czech insurance market. This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is dedicated to the characteristics of accident insurance and definitions. First part of the thesis also includes statistical data on injuries. The second part concerns market research and the possibility to sign accident insurance on-line. The third part focuses on specific offers of accident insurance for two selected insurance companies. The fourth part compares model of accident insurance according to the on-line and official calculators of insurance companies. In the fifth part, statistical data show the situation on the Czech insurance market and its progress in recent years. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the Czech insurance market in the field of accident insurance and to compare the offer of accident insurance between selected insurance companies.

Name: System view on insurance athletes Goals: The aim is to submit a report on sports insurance in the Czech Republic, with a focus on amateur and registered athletes, and evaluate the results and propose recommendations. Partial aim is to analyze insurance products from commercial insurers and findings awareness of opportunities for sports insurance among the public. Methods: Secondary research was conducted - collecting data from websites of insurers and insurance brokers and analysis.Primary research was conducted - written and online interviews. Results: Analysis of insurance offers were compared to a one model example. It turned out some differencies in both- in quality and price The questionnaire research has shown, that not all athletes are insured, while the majority of injuries come from sports. Based on the research, some recommendations for athletes and insurers were created. Occupational accidents and occupational deseases The purpose of my thesis is to analyze the legal regulation of occupational accidents and occupational diseaseses. I focused mainly on legal regulation of employer liability for damage to health workers, the revised in the act 262/2006 Sb., Labour Code. Effective regulation of the issue is highly fragmented, extends to more legal fields. As of 1.1.2013 is expected entry into force of Act 266/2006 Sb., about accident insurance of employees. Accident Insurance Act brings major changes. Workmen's compensation insurance for damage in an industrial accident or occupational disease will be replaced by a new form of social insurance - injury insurance policy with its own system of benefits. The monopoly of two commercial insurance companies, which now carries out mandatory insurance, will be abolished. It entrusts the Czech Social Security Administration, that carries out other types of social insurance. The financial demands, lack of preparedness of the Czech Social Security a ministration and other complications have led repeatedly to postpone the entry into force of the Act. Submitted Bachelor thesis deals with work injuries and their compensation. This work describes current system of compensation of work injuries and occupational diseases that is valid in the Czech Republic and batch system valid in the Slovak Republic as well. The thesis includes concrete case of work injury to demonstrate calculation of compensations according to system of compensations valid in Czech and Slovak republic. Last part contains discussion to compare the advantages and disadvantages of both systems.

Analysis of the current situation in the field of travel insurance of tourism participants

This work is focused on the current situation in the travel insurance market and how this corresponds to the current needs demand. The first part is about the insurance industry and product detail then travel insurance. The second part examines supply, thus the offer of travel insurance from various distributors and compares them with each other. A further section deals with the requirements of the passengers thus the demand. The result of the work describes the intersection of supply and demand. In conclusion, test hypotheses and summarizes the main findings.

Analysis of life insurance policies

Everyone's life is threatened by many risks that we try to eliminate them or to reduce their consequences. These risks are unexpected so we do not know when they strikes and change our lives. Some risks either directly affect our own lives or the lives of our beloved, or the standard of living of our loved ones. In my thesis, I will focus on the risks associated with injury or civilisation disease that often bring, apart from health complications, also financial problems due to the decline of employment income. To minimize the impacts of the income decline, most people pay for various financial products. Most often, they effect some type of life insurance. In my work, I will introduce basic principles of insurance, types of insurance focusing above all on life insurance. Using questionnaires, I will try to identify how many people have or have not effected any type of life insurance, what type of life insurance people usually effect, whether the risks which could threaten them would be covered by particular insurance according to their needs. I will also set several hypotheses and I will test them statistically to obtain relevant and valid answers.

The insurance of hardly acceptable and not acceptable people in life insurance and casualty insurance

This bachelor thesis is divided in several parts one of which is a theoretical part. This theoretical part talks about the basic terms and definitions dealing with such a extensive and complex issues like the insurance industry and indemnity. There is a very numerous group of people that is hardly acceptable or not acceptable to the life insurance or casualty insurance due to their actual state of health. This two groups of people are important object for my bachelor thesis. In the practical part I work with plenty of statistic data of healthy, ill and seriously and gravely ill people of the district of České Budějovice. The aim of my bachelor work is to make a list of people belonging to the group of people hardly acceptable or not acceptable to the life or casualty insurance. The source of these results was particularly The General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic. The second aim of my bachelor thesis is to propose a new insurance product for these groups of people so that they could be accepted to life or casualty insurance.In that reason I´ve made some changes in the life and casualty insurance calculation. These changes have shown that people who are nowadays hardly accerptable to the insurance process or not acceptable at all due to their state of health could be accepted to the insurance without exclusions or any changes in the insurance amounts. These calculations have also shown that these people would pay more for the insurance which is based on determined life expectancy. On the other side they would pay less for the casualty insurance due to their lower rate of risk.
