CFD software calibration

The objective of this thesis was to calibrate a CFD software for use on a Formula Student race car. The calibration is performed by comparing the experimental data from the measurement of a single element wing in a wind tunnel with the same case replicated in a CFD software, for which the optimization of settings of the meshing and solver is performed. The result is an evaluation of deviations of CFD by assessing aerodynamic characteristics such as downforce, drag, pressure distribution, separation and wake in freestream and ground effect. The results are processed into a graphical and text form for future use in the design of aerodynamic components.

CFD analysis of icing effects on commuter aircraft configuration

The Diploma Thesis concerns investigation of icing effects at L 410 NG aircraft. The aircraft is certified under FAR/CS/AP-23 Commuter category. An analysis was performed for existing Pneumatic De-icing Boots System at the wing area according to three flight configurations and icing conditions referring to document Part 25 Appendix C and O. The analysis was done by CFD solver FENSAP-ICE for various runs with respect to the icing envelope. Cases were assigned as two 2D cross-sections situated at the aircraft’s wing aileron part. Cross-sectional Reynold’s number oscillate between 4.5–8.5×106. Automatic operation of Pneumatic De-icing Boots System was proposed. Attention was paid to the ice accretion aft to the Pneumatic De-icing Boots System. The Appendix (Příloha) P6 contains an English written Article concerning main Diploma Thesis sections.

The bachelor thesis deals with innovations in compressor systems of modern turbofan engines and ongoing projects aimed at increasing the efficiency of compressor. The first part describes the basic parameters of the compressor with emphasis on efficiency. The second part deals with losses that lead to a decrease in efficiency. The third part describes examples of projects and innovations that focus on increasing the efficiency of compressor.

Aerodynamic analysis of anti-surge modifications on turboprop engine

Tahle práce se zaměřila na aerodynamickou analýzu principů zvyšování pumpážních záloh. V první kapitole jsou popsány kompresory leteckých motorů a zavedeny potřebné znalosti kompresorových charakteristik a proti-pumpážních zařízení. V druhé kapitole se nachází detailní popis CFD modelu, jeho nastavení, citlivostní analýzy sítě a korelace výsledků s experimentálním měřením. V třetí kapitole jsou popsány data neupraveného kompresoru a jsou zde popsány problematická místa první stupně kompresoru z pohledu proti-pumpážních zařízení. Ve čtvrté kaptiole jsou popsány CFD výsledky z analýz jednotlivých proti-pumpážních zařízení a také popis jejich optimalizace. Práce je zakončena srovnáním jednotlivých zařízení pomocí dvou objektivních kritérií.

This bachelor thesis deal with wing tip design of airplane for competition. Airplane named FabricK I is design for Air Cargo Challenge competition. The first part of bachelor thesis is focused on description of competition and flight aircraft modes. Hereafter are compared the types of wing tips. Most suitable wing tip is then applied on FabricK I.

Experimental validation of active flow concept on wing section

The aim of this diploma thesis is experimental validation of active flow concept on the wing section. This concept could be replacement of commonly used high-lift devices. In the be-ginning of the thesis, a different high-lift devices and other experiments of active flow con-trol are described. Practical part of the thesis describes a preliminery of the measurment, such as preparing wind tunnel section, design of the rotary device and models of the wing section. Next chapter describes measuring of the wing section without active flow control and wing section with active flow control. In the end of the thesis the measurement was compared with CFD analysis.

The distraint The objective of this thesis is to describe the distraint procedures laid down by Act No. 120/2001 Coll., on Court-Appointed Distrainers and Distraint, as amended by the amendment to the Distraint Procedure Rules, based on the legal situation as of 12 April 2010. The first chapter provides introduction into the topic of distraint as a state-approved institution assuring the enforceability of law. The second chapter is divided in two parts. The first one provides description of the basic differences between distraint and enforcement of a judgement. The second part discusses the role and the office of distrainers, their employees and the supervision over the execution of the profession of distrainer. The third chapter regarding the prerequisites of distraint procedure has five parts. The first part tackles the sources and principles. The second part focuses on the jurisdiction and competence of courts for distraints. The third part deals with enforcement orders, the fourth with distraint orders and the last part outlines the issues of applications for authorization to execute distraint. The main objective of the fourth chapter is to describe the course of distraint, beginning with the decision ordering a distraint procedure, to costs and the possibility of staying the procedure....

Fictional Worlds Theories. An Analysis and Interpretation of the Recent Development of the Theories of Fictional Worlds.

The thesis analyzes the possibilities of application of the fictional worlds theory as a possible basis for a different literary-theoretical approach to the study of literary texts. Not being a mere literature research, the thesis inquires into issues which are necessarily connected with the fictional worlds theory and which have been so far rarely dealt with, if discussed at all. It contributes to the discussion on advantages and drawbacks of the mimetic approach and of the fiction theory, it analyzes the possible applicability of the fictional worlds theory in literary history, it attempts to determine the correlation between the Seymour Chatman's textual types and the fiction theory nomenclature, and last but not least the thesis deals with the possibilities of this theory in the fictional worlds of lyrical poetry.
