Influence of Friction to the Shear Stress State in the Crack-Front Vicinity
Vlach, Jiří ; Hutař, Pavel (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to explore the influence of frictional forces to the stress and strain on the straight crack tip loaded in shear modes. The first section summarizes the most important things from the field of fracture mechanics. Especially theoretical knowledge about fracture parameters (stress intensity factor, J – integral) and their determination in computational environment ANSYS Workbench. The second part deals with computational modeling. At the beginning, is created the model of material, the model of geometry, the model of loads, etc. Then it is possible to solve the direct problem outlined in the introduction. A result of this thesis is the assessment of how the friction influences the fracture parameters in shear modes II and III.
Evaluation of mechanical characteristics of metalic materials under cyclic loading
Vlach, Jiří ; Slámečka, Karel (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on study mechanical characteristics of metalic materials under cyclic loading. In the first section there are summarized current facts about three fatigue stages: fatigue hardening/softening, microcrack nucleation and crack propagation. This part also contains information about fatigue life, fatigue strength and fatigue limit. The main aim of practical part was to evaluate the Wöhler´s curve, also called S-N curve.
House alarm - hardware
Vlach, Jiří ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the design and realization of a modular security central unit's hardware positioned in familial houses. As an operating component of the central unit is used Module Rabbit 3365 with an integrated Ethernet interface. Based on user's requirements and general requirements for electronic security system, circuit diagrams of the central unit's motherboard and power supply with a function of backup power supply are designed. The work also includes layout of a keyboard and LCD display. Printed circuit boards are designed, produced and assembled. The device is set to work. The last part concerns programming of the module Rabbit 3365 in Dynamic C. Gradually, set of operating functions for individual components of the security central unit are implemented.
The Specific Aspects Of a TV Production In an International Hub
Vacík, Jakub ; KRUML, Milan (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on production specifics of TV format hubs. The term hub is being identified and put in the context. In further sections there are examples of Czech TV formats that were produced in the international production hubs. The thesis looks at different production approaches within the hub productions and explores the advantages and disadvantages of such production environment. A reflection at the end examines if there is a possibility of building a production hub in the Czech Republic.
TELEVISION PRODUCTION GROUP TARGET TO AUDIENCE 65+
Slivoňová, Juliána Silvie ; KOPECKÝ, Čestmír (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
The output of this work is the basis of a creative producer group independent of the public service television and narrowly focused on the senior spectator. It contains a description of the TV environment both from the producer side and from the consumer side. A detailed description of the target group is added on the basis of a comparison of available sociological research and a basic description of the five recommended programs for such a particular production group.
CROWDFUNDING AS A METHOD OF COMPLETING THE FINANCING OF A DOCUMENTARY FILM
Štruncová, Martina ; VLACH, Jiří (advisor) ; Badač, Peter (referee)
The topic of this thesis is reward based crowdfunding as a way of how to partly finance a documentary film. The aim of this work is to show crowdfunding as one of the methods that a documentary film producer can use. One case study and three other descriptions of Czech documentary films show how to use this phenomena in practical life.
ARTE - Analysis from the perspective of corporate structure and model portability to the CEE region
Novák, Marek ; MATHÉ, Ivo (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
ARTE TV station is a unique project in the area of European audiovisual landscape, in many perspectives, and reflects its basis in many ways. It is an important player in the area of international co-productions, it is a hallmark of European arthouse cinema in the best sense of the word and its participation in audiovisual productions is available also for Czech producers. Therefore I would like to focus and analyse on the ARTE phenomenon, especially on the corporate and functional structure, business model and from historical and political view, followed by a producer's perspective (ARTE participation in co-productions) and end in an essay on the possibilities of transferring the ARTE model into the area of Central/Eastern Europe.
Pornography in french art cinema
Hrnčířová, Agáta ; BENDOVÁ, Helena (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
This paper discusses pornography in French artistic cinema. It firstly defines the term pornography and presents how it is perceived in this work. Furthermore, this work describes the history of pornographic films and contemporary film genres in France. The objective is the creation of a case study of three contemporary French films which have pornographic aspects. The accent is placed on the analysis of sexual scenes. The last part of this work reflects the influence of sexual explicitness on the reception of the films by critics and on the work of the producers and distributors.
A "Let's Play" Phenomenon
Pleskač, Matěj ; BENDOVÁ, Helena (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on a new form of audio-visual works called Let's Play videos. Authors produce them while playing videogames themselves, using a screen capture software which records the gameplay in the native screen resolution. Videos are usually shared via web streaming platform YouTube and attract millions of viewers worldwide, despite their production requires minimal costs compared to the film industry. After introducing the platform itself and clarifying why are the creators (YouTubers) so popular, core of this paper presents author's own Let's Play videos categorization including brief subject and style analysis of specific works. Main research question is whether watching Let's Plays is valuable just for gamers themselves or can be interesting for other viewers to. Last chapter deals with the copyright protection system Content ID in relation to Let's Play videos as derivative work.
Documentary piece 2.0 and its dominant features regarding the viewer
Tichá, Zuzana ; KOPECKÝ, Lubor (advisor) ; VLACH, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with documentary pieces 2.0 Its first and second part specifies the role of this term in the context of modern documentary formats, which are gaining in popularity lately but less so for theorization. The subject of the first part of this paper is to explain what the term documentary piece 2.0 actually means, to describe the principles upon which it works and in what ways it is possible to divide it. The third part analyzes the dominant features of documentary pieces 2.0 and demonstrates them with specific examples of projects. Features which this thesis describes are: mosaic arrangement, collage concept, the possibility of exploration, investigative approach, subjective view and viewer usage data. The aim is therefore to specify dominant features, which documentary pieces 2.0 carry within themselves, and to describe through them how does this whole modern production works with the audience.
