Methods: This thesis occupies with qualitative research. Based on the analysis of selected documents we used the method of prediction and comparison. The main aim was to study athletic results of all selected decathletes. All of the performances were scored by IAAF scoring tables for combined events. We chose a few decathletes of different ages, the age range of our selected decathletes varies from 18 to 27 years old. Results: We found out that the biggest increase performance of decathlon results were when all our selected decathletes were beginning of their athletic careers. Title: Training strategy in the long sprint Objectives: The point of my thesis is to compare the content and the extent of the sport conditioning of three selected athletes specialized in 200 meter dash, in 400 meter dash and in 800 meter dash. The other point of my thesis is to determine the identical and vice versa dissimilar elements in the strategy of the sport training for the long sprint within three selected athletes. Methods: In my thesis I used the method of description and comparison of the extent of the sport conditioning in pursued general and special indicators of the athletic training. Results: The representation of the training extent in the special training indicators was basically corresponding to athlete's specialization. I found the minimal training extent for development of special power within selected athletes P. J. and J. K. Only athlete P. S. has been attending the necessary conditioning in the full extent of the individual needs for the appropriate performance in the long sprint. Key words: Athletics, performance, training, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 800 meter dash. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

RUNNING LOCOMOTION IN COMMON AND WATER ENVIRONMENT Objectives: To offer a comprehensive view how to use various types of water running for training purposes. Summarize the significant differences between the water and classic running with orientation on physiology and biomechanics. Methods: Review of current knowledge from the literature. Comparative analysis of deep water running and classic running with slow and high frequency from video recordings. The aim of analysis were changes in the angles of the hip (flexion and extension), knee (flexion) and the elbow (flexion) joint, forward bending of the trunk and stride length. Results: During low stride frequency running is in the water greater knee (+ 41.2 ř) and hip (+ 26.7 ř) flexion, trunk more bent (+ 6.8 ř) and stride is shorter (by 1.61). During high stride frequency running is in the water greater knee flexion (+ 32.9 ř), greater trunk forward bending (+ 9.3 ř) and shorter stride (by 1.71). At low frequency were changes between conditions in all subjects more similar than at high frequency. When comparing the water running at low and high frequency the forward bending of the trunk was greater at high frequency (+ 9.6 ř) Other results were not conclusive.
