Revenue Management in small accommodation facilities

The topic of this thesis is Revenue Management and application of its principles in a small accommodation facility. There are many publications from Czech and international scholars, dedicated to Revenue Management as an indispensable part of any industry. In this thesis its main principles, which were created for use by airline companies and big hotels. This work describes application of their adaptated version in a small hotel and results of this application.
Analýza nízkonákladové letecké dopravy

The thesis deals with low cost air transport. In general terms, it is divided into both theoretical and empiric part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter outlines transport in tourism in general. The second one describes air transport and the third one focuses on the low cost air transport. The empiric part, as in the end of the third chapter, opens up with an overview of the low cost carriers who use GDS. The fourth chapter focuses on the low cost carriers in all of the world regions and analyzes them based on the amount of destinations, revenues, amount of transported passengers and market value. The fifth chapter describes low cost carriers which offer long-haul flights. The final chapter compares low cost airlines with full service airlines using market value and amount of transported passengers.
Bloggers and their significance for tourism marketing

The main goal of the Master's Thesis is to analyse the influence of information sources on the travel decision process. Special focus is given to blogs. This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part formulates basic terminology which the practical part then utilises. The practical part concerns itself with specific examples of marketing communication through travel blogs and the analysis of the consumers' perception of these blogs. This analysis stems from secondary data and data gathered through the primary research method of questionnaires. The result of the thesis is the evaluation of blog influence on travel behaviour in the pre-purchase stage.
Pinterest.com as a free platform supporting tourism

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to tourism promotion via Pinterest.com and its advantages. Covered is the base of an online tourism market as well as an issue of website optimization from eighter the search engine and the end customer points of view in concern to apply these to a practical use of a platform Pinterest.com, which is also introduced. The thesis is divided into two logical sections - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains basic principles of Marketing in Tourism Industry, follows a description of Online Marketing and provided guidance of Pinterest practical use. The practical part analyses options of usage of this application as supporting force for overall tourism industry marketing, included the prediction of future evolution and opportunities for improvements identified. In addition, the practical part contains also a questionaire with regard to acknowledge and analyze Pinterest users' needs and requirements.
Social Media Marketing with a focus on Tourism

The subject of this Master's thesis is social media and its utilization in tourism marketing. The aim of the thesis is to determine which social media are most useful for tourism marketing and identify effective ways of social media marketing in tourism. The opening chapter deals with the development and current state of the Internet, digital marketing and individual types of social media. The second chapter examines the influence of social media on travelers and trends in social media marketing. The next chapter contains analysis and evaluation a survey among users of social networking sites. The last chapter is dedicated to analysis and comparison of marketing activities of two competitive tour operators on social media. The main findings of the thesis are summarized in its conclusion.
Analysis of online promotion of the Czech Republic as an attractive tourist destination

The thesis is focused on the topic of online promotion of the Czech Republic as an attractive tourist destination. First part defines basic terms such as online marketing its importance and specifics in tourism and destination marketing and management. There is one chapter dedicated to online marketing activities of the destination management organization CzechTourism and its research division Istitut turismu. The second part's objective is to analyse the channels used for online promotion of the Czech Republic on the target markets of incoming tourism. In the last part of the thesis there is a SWOT analysis of online promotion of the Czech Republic followed by my personal evaluation and possible suggestions.
Tourism of the Island Regions of Spain Focusing on the Balearic Islands

This bachelor thesis is focused on tourism in Spain with specialization on the Balearic Islands. The aim of the thesis is the analysis of tourism on the Balearic Islands. Part of the thesis is focused on the supply of places of interest of these islands, their accommodation capacities and it defines how the tourism is promoted on the archipelago. The other part analyses the arrivals on the islands and shows historical evolution of these arrivals. It also talks about competitiveness of the islands. This is analysed by survey and comparison of travel agencies in the Czech Republic. SWOT analysis of this destination is placed at the end of the thesis.
The sharing economy, its analysis and influence on tourism

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the impacts of the sharing economy on tourism and on the marketplace. The partial aim is to propose measures which would improve the sharing economy and its operations. The first chapter focuses on tourism, its characteristics, place in the economy and on new trends in tourism. The next chapter presents the sharing economy as a global phenomenon, describes its main characteristics and states the reasons why the sharing economy has developed. Then an analysis follows, firstly of the positive, then of the negative impacts on the participants, tourism and the marketplace. The last chapter proposes regulations which would prevent the negative impacts of the sharing economy.
Comparison of the tourism sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare and evaluate the current state of the tourism sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis collects all the possible data from the tourism field held by national databases and other printed and electronic sources of both countries and then compares them. The main advantages of the thesis are that it provides both uniformity and an up-to-date interpretation. Both countries have their own databases and their own ways of processing data, which can cause problems when comparing specific pieces of information. The tourism industry is nowadays a significant part of the economy and the state budget. So now we speak of two countries which were formerly one country, but after the split they are seen differently not only with regard to tourism offered but also preconditions its future development. The thesis also includes SWOT analysis of both countries and presents the results of a questionnaire survey investigating the perception of the tourism industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Accommodation establishments and possibilities of distribution focusing on OTAs

The aim of this thesis is to explain the importance of the internet and online travel agencies as one of the most important parts in the distribution of accommodation. The thesis includes a demonstration of cooperation between a particular accommodation establishment and its OTAs, which are also analysed. In conclusion, are suggested measures leading to optimize the distribution.
