Detached house with establishment, Měrotín

The subject of this Bachelor thesis is the design documentation of a detached house with an establishment, Měrotín. The building has a floor plan consisting of two rectangles. Larger rectangle consists of a living area, smaller rectangle consists of a garage. Above the living area is a gabled roof. The space above the garage is designed as a terrace. The building is bricked up ceramic bricks, brand Porotherm. The building is situated on sloping terrain towards the north. Detached house with an establishment is designed for 4-5 member family of one floor, a garret and a basement, where the establishment is located. The building is based on the strip foundations. Part of this Bachelor thesis is also the essay on topic flat roofs.
Analysis and evaluation of the placement of buildings according to the building code in the micro region Litovelsko

The subject of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the placement of buildings under the Building Act in the microregion Litovelsko. The theoretical part will include individual division of the Construction Act, including zoning classification. In will be done analysis of specific examples and to the family house in the village Ješov, then there will be discussed at the appropriate location of the building plot in the village Hradečná and the last example is the location of the construction site in dilapidated buildings in the village Kovářov. Finally, the work will include evaluation of appropriate solutions to the location of buildings.
The Educational Policy of the European Union and the Open Method of Coordination

The diploma thesis deals with the use of the open method of coordination in education policy of the European Union. It views the open method of coordination as a tool based on exchanges of good practice and on mutual learning processes. The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the European Union managed to create an effective coordination mechanism through the open method of coordination in the field where the EU can only intervene to support the action of Member States. Research focuses on the Education and Training 2010/2020 work programme whose origin and implementation is connected to the use of the open method of coordination in education policy. The effectiveness of the open method of coordination in the field of education and training is assessed through two criteria. The thesis examines whether the method contributes to achieving greater convergence towards the main EU goals in education and training and whether it support spreading of good practice between Member States. The Globalization and the Cosmopolitan Theory of Democracy

This thesis is concerned with possibility of a cosmopolitan approach to democracy in the world changed by processes of globalization. The issue of globalization is analyzed from the perspective of three contemporary sociologists - Ulrich Beck, Anthony Giddens and Jan Keller. It will be shown in which way economic, cultural and political globalization changes rules of world politics. A modern concept of democracy traditionally assumed the nation-state framework, however nation-states are no longer able to react adequately to the global dimension of contemporary world issues. This fact allows thesis to open up a concept of cosmopolitanism that has ambitions to expand democratic governance at the global level. First this thesis will introduce Kant's cosmopolitan proposition of international legal order - a voluntary league of states. According to Kant, a perpetual peace can be achieved through realization of three spheres of public law: constitutional law, international law and cosmopolitan law. Many authors responded to Kant's position, each of them in a quite different way. In The Law of Peoples John Rawls proposes a political conception of right and justice that applies strictly to the principles and norms of international law. Foucault and Lifelong Learning as a Political Concept

The bachelor thesis deals with the intellectual legacy of Michel Foucault and his possible aplication in relation to the concept of lifelong learning. Thesis argues that lifelong learning is used as a political concept in the contemporary educational discourse in European Union, which is shown from the critical Foucauldian perspective. In its theoretical part bachelor thesis has the form of compilation of possible interpretations regarding Foucault's thesis in relation to the field of lifelong learning. Thesis focuses in particular on the Foucault's notion of governmentality that offers comprehensive view of the way by which neoliberalism penetrated into different forms of governance including the field of education. In the second part thesis focuses on the analysis of seleceted strategic documents of European Union with the use of Foucault's critical approach to the neoliberal governmentality. Thesis reveals in which way these documents percieve the concept of lifelong learning and its role in the future development of European Union. The bachelor thesis contributes to the discussion about a potential use of Foucault's work in relation to the analysis of political concept of lifelong learning.
