Mobile Public Transportation Assistant
Tůma, Jan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is a documentation covering complete design and implementation of a mobile public transportation assistant for Brno. The resulting solution consists of a mobile application and a server part. The mobile application allow user with actual position of public transport vehicles and positon of smart device navigate and determine optimal route. The server part includes web service for client-server communication.
Characteristics of the nervous system of mice with a Lurcher mutation
Boubín, Josef ; Bendová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Tůma, Jan (referee)
The glutamate receptor δ 2 (GluRδ2) is expressed in dendrites of Purkinje cells localized in the cerebellar cortex. Correct function of GluRδ2 is necessary for cerebellar development, synapse formation between parallel fibers of the granular and Purkinje cells and for inducing long term depression important in memory formation. Lurcher mutation, localized to 6th autosomal chromosome, transforms GluRδ2 into constitutively open ion channel by amino acid substitution in third transmembrane domain. As a result, almost complete disappearance of Purkinje cells population and a large degeneration of granular cells and olivary neurons occurs. Mice impaired by Lurcher mutation have lower body weight and reduced litter size. Fertility of males is not affected. Lurcher mutants display extensive behavioral deficits. Mice suffer from ataxia typical for cerebellar neurodegenerations. They have reduced physical performance, impaired spatial orientation and learning capabilities. The aim of this work is to summarize recent knowledge about Lurcher mutation from molecular basis to behavioral manifestation. Specific characteristics of this degeneration allow us to investigate influences of neurodegenerative cerebellar disorders on cognitive functions of the brain as a whole, study causing factors and treatment...
Cognitive and emotional abnormalities in cerebellar mutant mice
Tůma, Jan ; Vožeh, František (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Delgado García, José María (referee)
3 SUMMARY Hereditary cerebellar ataxias represent a heterogeneous group of neurodegenerative disorders. Variability of human hereditary ataxias is also reflected in animal models of cerebellar disorders. The most frequently used animal models are Lurcher and Purkinje cell degeneration (pcd) mutant mice. The main aim of this thesis was to analyze and compare the spatial and emotional behavior of these cerebellar mutants. Additional aims were to study the impact of abnormal behavior on breeding capacity in Lurcher mice and to assess the applicability of cerebellar mutants as models for experimental therapy of cerebellar degeneration. We have confirmed several behavioral impairments in both Lurcher and pcd mutant mice. Nevertheless, we have found that the manifestation of spatial behavior deficit is different in these two cerebellar mutants. Based on our findings, we propose that the deficit of spatial performance in cerebellar mutants may potentially arise from a combination of 1) cognitive disturbances, 2) sensory deficits, 3) motor impairments, and finally, 4) affective disorder. Moreover, resulting spatial behavior could also be modified by the specific effect of mutation, genetic background, and sex. We have also shown that abnormal behavior, e.g. maternal infanticide leads to decreased breeding...
Primary school management system
Tůma, Jan ; Trunda, Jiří (advisor) ; Voda, Jan (referee)
The goal of the bachelor thesis is to summarize bibliography focused on the problem of primary school management. The empirical research reveals if it is unified management system, what are its common features, how much and which parts are influenced by school size. Method of empirical research is questionary investigation. The respondents are basic school managers from Kladno district. In order to investigation were addressed 59 managers with returnability 59 %. Results of the questionary investigation were charted into a table, described and compared with Primary school Zlonice, Kladno district. KEYWORDS management, management system, Primary School, director, Kladno district
Vocational school of forestry in Písky (Presentation video broadcast)
Hlavsa, Rostislav ; Jiroušková, Ivana (advisor) ; Tůma, Jan (referee)
I have processed a video broadcast for this graduation thesis. The video is introducing Vocational School of Forestry in Písky, its facilities including the hall of residence. It is also including the theoretical student training, the vocational education, the education during the leisure time and other school events. The practical part is focused on the video broadcast shooting and editing, its comments and the musical background. The theoretical part is including the advantages of video equipment used for processing of assigned topic, the comparison and evaluation of other presentation methods, the opportunity of this video broadcast application in practice and the delineation of the theme, the subject matter and technical script. I have added to my graduation thesis the photo documentation composed by PowerPoint program including present documents and also the documents from the history of the vocational school.
Week in kindergarten Bařiny Štramberk (presentation video program)
Brus, Tomáš ; Jiroušková, Ivana (advisor) ; Tůma, Jan (referee)
This bachelor work, I shot and subsequently worked as a nursery school video program presentation (the nursery) Bařiny, street No. 485 in Zauličí Štramberk, containing cross daily activities of children. I kept shooting and further processed using shear Pinnacle Studio 14. The theoretical part of the paper sets out the objectives of the presentation show, the advantages of video technology for the processing of specified topics, and possibilities of the photographic documentation presented by using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. Finally, evaluate, and presenting their own experiences and experiences during filming. Keywords: Nursery school, presentation videos, camera.
Effect of celiac disease on growth and bone density.
Ondráčková, Markéta ; Zemková, Daniela (advisor) ; Tůma, Jan (referee)
Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disease of the small intestine caused by intolerance to gluten. The disease is characterized by impairment of intestinal mucosa, it is associated with malabsorption and maldigestion. The main symptoms are stomach pain, diarrhea, anemia, failure to thrive. Recently, the number of patients with atypical symptoms and a completely asymptomatic form of the disease increases. Prevalence of the disease in Europe is 1 %. The aim of this paper is to describe how celiac disease affects the status of bone tissue and what is its impact on growth in children.
