Time management in secondary education

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse time management methods and their application in secondary education. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on different time management methods, which are available to teachers and pupils in secondary education. Special attention is paid to the representation of this topic in the Framework Educational Programs (FEPs) for basic education, Gymnasium and secondary vocational education. The practical part deals with how teachers and pupils use these methods. Teachers are also asked how they pass their knowledge of time management to their pupils. The research is realized in the form of semi- structured interviews with teachers and psychologists. The interviews showed that time management is not systematically taught in schools. The result of this diploma thesis is a description of useful methods and recommendations for their practical application in the educational process.

TITTLE: Integration of foreigners from the perspective of volunteer work AUTHOR: Alžběta Končitíková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Miroslava Kovaříková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The bachelor thesis deals with the isssue of integration of foreigners from the point of view of volunteer work. The aim of the thesis was to gain experience based on own research in order to create a leaflet usable mainly for the student sof the Faculty of Education. The thesis is dividend into two parts. The theoretical part deals with volunteering, its history in the Czech Republic, motive of volunteering, obstacles and issues of volunteer activities of non - governmental organizations. The research part deals with real opinions of the integration of foreignersfrom the selected organization META. The observation was based on the interview and the method of work was an interview with volunteers. Since the selected volunteers also work for other organizations. I focused on thein opinion about the isme. The practical part of the facts about integration. This summary was the basic for those interested leaflet for those interested in volunteering at the Faculty of Education. The Problematics of Integrating Foreign Students

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of integrating foreign students (students speaking any language other than Czech) into Czech educational system with regard to the most current regulations and legislative documents issued not only by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports but also by non-profit institutions involved in the process. In the theoretical part the most important key terms are described, such as integration or foreign students. Another topics embedded in this part include integrational processes and respective working procedures, as well as the introduction of the aforementioned non-profit institutions which contribute to the integration of foreign students in the Czech Republic. In the empirical part a goal is set to inspect how selected schools (meaning students and educators) deal with the issue of integrating foreign students in practice. The way schools view and tackle it is explored through a qualitative research while using semi-structured interviews or observation. KEYWORDS integration, student, foreign, language, school

Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části je uvést vymezení výchovy ke zdraví, vyjasnit pojmy alternativní vzdělávání a mnou vybrané jednotlivé směry. Cílem praktické části je představit konkrétní vybrané alternativní školy a směry v Praze, jakým způsobem začleňují výchovu ke zdraví do svého školního vzdělávacího plánu. Risk behaviour of pupils at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou

The diploma thesis deals with risk behavior of pupils of SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou. The aim of this work is primarily to find out what risk behavior is actually occurring at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou, whether pupils themselves are aware of how the school attempts to prevent the occurrence of this undesirable behavior, and what is used to eliminate the risk behavior of pupils. It reveals how risk behaviors are treated in the school's basic documents and how this behavior is being prevented. It deals with the functioning of the school counseling center and the work of class teachers. Methods used for this work are document study, focus group and interviews. Observation is an additional method. Research shows that the most common risk behaviors are truancy, substance abuse, bullying and cyberbullying, aggression in the form of vandalism and vulgarism. Based on the study of school documents, it recommends possible ways of making the work of the school counseling center more effective, primary and secondary prevention at school, class teacher's work, and class lessons. The conclusion of the thesis is to recommend the school how to promote the elimination of pupils' risk behaviors. Worldschooling as an alternative model of education

This thesis's aim is to unite the worldschooling information available, show different educational models in various countries where it would be the easiest to execute for Czech families, suggest an advancement and an example of such education. Further on detect its benefits and weaknesses. The main contribution of the thesis lays in the comparison of the obvious benefits such as unworldliness, overview, or extensive progression in the field of language or geography as well as the negatives of such upbringing such as uprooting, instability or social isolation. Later on the latent advantages and disadvantages shall arise from the research part which will be focused on interviews with families already practising worldschooling. To meet the goals, specialized literature will be used, prevailingly a foreign one, most of all however using naratives.
