A diploma thesis is concerned with research. The research is focused on compare of effectiveness and differences of two opposite techniques, which are using in school environment. Methods and techniques of drama in contrast of clasics method of frontal teaching. A primary aim of diploma thesis is finding out, if these particular methods has got influences for better or worst understanding and remembering subject metter and how big are these influences. The diploma thesis is devided on two parts. First is theoretics and second is practics part. Thoretics part is making efforts to sketch these problematics of technical viewpoint. It is woking mainly with specialized literature. Theoretics part is creating foundations for practics part. Practics part is asking about researches questions first and choosing exploratives methodes for research. Like researchs method is selecting of analysis of tests from children from both of classes. Test was created on the basis of taked places of lessons. Starting point for practics part was book names "Old greece mythos and legends" from author Eduard Petiška. Use of Drama in Education methods for teaching English

The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the introduction to drama as a separate object with its principles and the principles of working with drama, on its methods and techniques. We will introduce here the work of teachers of drama education and training opportunities in this field. In terms of psychology, the work deals with the development of speech in children and the ability to learn a new language, so that we get the most lasting effect in the preservation of the skills acquired in the memory. An integral part of this work is also didactic teaching of foreign languages and its characteristics. Required skills in a foreign language, then set the General Educational Programme for Basic Education, which allows us to set learning goals. The theoretical part is also a methodology to creating tutorials foreign language with the use of drama in education and its reflection. The practical part contains taught lessons on selected topics of the English language, where I used drama as a teaching resource.
Forum Theatre as the Tool for Solving the Problems in the Nursery School

Abstraction Work is focuses on dramatic education more precisely on one of its forms called a Forum theatre. The first chapter is dedicated to its history, its founder Augusto Boal and to a story concerning the creation of the Forum theatre. Another point treated here is who and what is needed to establish such a Theatre i.e. good actors, socially and men-tally balanced group and an elaborated scenario. Second chapter describes the dramatic education in general then passes to de-tailed dramatic education in kindergartens. Which methods and techniques are the most appropriate for kindergartens, how to use them while working with preschool children, what is the correlation between a dramatic education and free and dramatic play and to what extent is desired their participation in kindergartens. The whole chapter is focused on dramatic education as such. The third chapter deals with a mental and social maturity of a child. Maturity in both segments is very important precondition for performing the Forum theatre. Mental and social maturity is for each child individual but the anticipated age where the child should be able to reflect answers of Joker and to understand the plot on the stage of the Theatre forum is around five years. Specific of Roma Population worked out through the means of Drama in Education

This thesis focuses on the topic of multicultural education based on elaborated methods and techniques of drama in education. The theoretical part deals with the drama in education, its objectives, methods and techniques, and its inclusion in The Framework Educational Program for Basic Education (FEP), then on the Roma population and its specifics, multicultural education, its goals and its inclusion in the FEP. Through structured drama techniques in the practical part I try to explain school children the history, culture, values and way of life of the Roma population reflected by assimilation policy of the Czech Republic of the last century. Via this drama in education lessons focused on learning the specifics of the Roma population, I make an effort to prevent or influence prejudices. I have chosen to focus on this ethnic minority as it is the largest ethnic group in the Czech Republic and it is exposed to probably most significant racial prejudice. Drama in Education and Personal and Social Development

Synopsis This dissertation work deals with the possibilities of personal and social development of pupils through Drama in Education. The practical part creates a complex of ten eighty-minute lessons that have been realized in the ten weeks in the fourth class of primary school operating on the principles of Montessori. It describes the work of the teacher the beginner beginning with a class, which until then had no experience of Drama in Education. It tries to capture how successful it is to incorporate egoistical pupils by the methods and techniques of Drama in Education. It detects how the pupils of this class comprehend to the selected values and which worthy qualities do they appreciate. The theoretical part explains what drama education is. It is devoted to its objectives, content, forms, methods and techniques. It examines the connection between drama education and personality and social development. It characterizes a child in the development phase of about nine and ten years of age and the classroom as a social group. It also informs about the principles of the Montessori educational system. 4
Drama education as a way for teaching literature

The integration of drama education in the primary education is one of the frequently discussed topics in the contemporary education. This diploma thesis deals mainly with the use of drama as a supplementary teaching method for the work with literary texts. The main aim is to compare the efficiency of literary education that uses standard educatory methods with the education that uses methods and techniques of drama education. The theoretical part deals especially with the terms personality of a child of lower school age, literacy and drama education. The practical part emphasizes the strong impact that own experience have on children readers and therefore underlines the efficiency and applicability of drama methods and techniques not only in the literary education, but in other subjects as well. It also contains the used methodic and results of the research based on questionnaires which were used for recording and tracking of the memorized information.The focus group for the research consists of pupils of lower school age.
Use of drama methods in historical studies at primary school

This thesis examines the possibilities of linking historiographical education and drama curriculum in primary school using action research. The theoretical part examines various educational and psychological bases that support the idea of linking drama and historiographical education and defines the possibilities of the involvement of drama as a teaching method in the primary school. The practical part contains specific proposal of two lessons with historiographical themes and also includes evaluation of their implementation in 4th and 5th class. Both lessons are designed and implemented in accordance with the teachings of Three-phase, respecting the psychological aspects of the target group. Lessons use mainly drama methods, marginally methods of curriculum Reading and writing to critical thinking, Experiential learning, Project teaching and Cooperative learning are used. Action research is evaluated through observation and detailed description of teacher reflection.
Using Methods andTechniques of Creative Drama Education to Understanding of Literary Texts

This diploma thesis concerns possibilities of using drama methods and techniques for understanding of literary texts within primary school education, with special emphasis on supporting pupils' reading. In its first theoretical part the basic terms are defined, such as literature, reading and their importance for a human; Literary Education and Drama Education (including its methods) and their possible meetings in the educational process. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with use of a literary text as a theme for a preparation for creative drama lessons, including drama structuring. The practical part is focused on three specific proposals for drama lessons with using literary texts. Two of them were carried out and evaluated with respect to the predetermined goals. It affirms that the application of drama methods and techniques within classes of literature and reading is justified. Radmila Svobodová ABSTRACT: The topic of this thesis is the usage of puppets in English lessons of third graders at elementary school. In the theoretical part, there are described the types of puppets, the proper handling of puppets, their roles, various ways of using them in lessons and curricular documents. The practical part is an action research in the third grade. It investigates whether the activities with puppets are possible in a real class. The outcomes of the action research inform that it is suitable to use puppets in English lessons in many different ways, all children cooperated and the majority cooperated very enthusiastically.
