Transverse Flute Play Education on Elementary Art Schools, bachelor thesis Helena Svobodová This thesis deals with problematics of transverse flute play education on elementary art schools. It tries to look at the education from two aspects - practical which is concentrated to the very process of education including different methodics, and technical which is focused more to the instrument. Both these aspects combine in a questionnaire for teachers of transverse flute play in elementary art schools. The survey shows opinions of a few respondents about flute play problematique.
The importance of the expression of leukocyte and thrombogenic markers in the atherogenesis
Svobodová, Helena
Inflammatory and prothrombotic factors play a crucial role in the atherogenesis. Dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus as well are associated with the endothelial and leukocyte activation, which facilitate the inflammatory infiltration of the subendothelial space and deteriorate endothelial dysfunction, and thus contribute to the development of premature atherosclerosis. Furthermore, diabetes is associated with a number of platelets and coagulation factors abnormalities that participate in atherogenesis by other mechanisms and may be involved in the acute atherothrombotic events progression. Therefore, the factors that could favourably influence these actions become the subject of interest. In this work, we examined leukocyte expression of cell adhesion molecules in patients with hypercholesterolemia and type 2 diabetes, and thrombogenic molecules on leukocytes in type 2 diabetes, and also soluble endothelial and thrombogenic markers. In these patient groups, we investigated the effect of lipid lowering and antidiabetic treatment on these markers. Patients with severe hypercholesterolemia were examined at the baseline and after 10 weeks of atorvastatin treatment. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were examined at baseline and after 5 months of rosiglitazone treatment. Both patient groups were...
Manufacturing of the anchoring element of a solar collector
Svobodová, Helena ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
In this master's thesis the proposal of the production technology of component – solar collector anchor element from steel 1.0038 (11 375) quality, 5 mm thickness is solved. For the manufacturing of the assigned part the shearing and bending technology and a progressive forming tool including a suitable forming machine of 8,000 kN rated power is selected. The proposed method of production is laid down by a technical-economic evaluation with respect to the production series of 150,000 units per year. The solar collector anchor element serves to hold the frame for the solar vacuum tube collector. In the scope of this master's thesis, an assessment of the current production method, including the selection of a suitable semi-finished product for production, was also carried out and their optimization was proposed.
Krajinna raného středověku a její změny s nástupem kolonizace
Kozáková, Radka ; Pokorný, Petr (advisor) ; Latalowa, Malgorzata (referee) ; Svitavská - Svobodová, Helena (referee)
Landscape transformation that occurred during the Middle Ages in western and central Europe is reflected in all pollen diagrams. An event that was so striking and widespread was used by Firbas to distinguish a biostratigraphical period called the Younger Subatlantic (zone X; Firbas 1949). High Medieval landscape transformation is connected with rapid colonization in our area that resulted in extensive deforestation and intensified agriculture. During the first half of the 13th century, the settlement network was already stabilized and was very similar to the current state and was reaching also mountain areas (Klápště 1994). New organization and changes in land ownership, as well as a need for more effective agriculture, resulted in the connecting of small fields into larger ones and in an increase of cultivated area (Klápště 2006). The use of the land was different, and for the first time complete (Bakels 2009). During a few centuries anthropogenic factors that were enormously enhanced throughout the 13th century, formed a cultural landscape that was much more similar to the landscape of today than to the landscape of, for instance, the 9th century. This doctoral thesis is focused on the Early Medieval landscape in the Czech lands and its transformation that culminated during the 13th and 14th...

In contrast, there was nearly no effect of the hypolipidemic and antidiabetic treatment on the serum/plasma endothelial and thrombogenic molecules. Leukocyte molecules may therefore be a more sensitive marker of atherogenesis than circulating endothelial...
The history of nursing work before and after the amputation of the lower limb
SVOBODOVÁ, Helena
The aim of this thesis is to map the nursing care of patients with amputated lower limb during the history. This is a theoretical bachelor thesis. Interview with people with experience in the issue were used in the thesis: a general nurse, RNDr. Vítězslav Kuželka, an anthropologist and Mgr. Šimon Krýsl, a historian. A visit to the Medical Museum and Depository in Prague was also necessary for the work. The thesis also contains photographs taken during the visits to the museum or the depository. Preserved historical sources are the most important ones for the thesis. Special literature and literature dealing with these problems nowadays, numerous specialized journals, many history as well as modern books were further important sources. Period textbook and brochures for patients with amputations formed an inseparable part of the information source. The first chapter deals with the prehistoric period. Anthropologist RNDr. Kuželka provided a lot of valuable information. Immersion of a stump into boiling water was a specific feature of nursing care in the prehistoric period. The next chapter deals with the antiquity, when amputation was applied as a punishment. Famous physician Hippocrates belonged to this period. After that a chapter about the middle ages with the strong influence of religion follows. During a visit to the National Medical Library Mgr. Krýsl gave us an interview for this bachelor thesis, in which he mentioned the instruments used for amputation in the history. The fourth chapter deals with the modern times. Jean Louis Petit (1674-1750), a French physician, who was highly regarded for the invention of the screw type tourniquet, was one of the significant persons of this period. Florence Nightingale, the lady with the lamp, meant a real breakthrough as she contributed to introduction of strict cleanliness in hospitals. The modern times also includes the period between 1953 and 1979, which is also a part of this thesis. There is a very much interesting fact that the nursing care of amputees does not much differ from the present. Mgr. Polanová adds her memories of the nursing care in 1979. Further parts of the bachelor thesis focus on the issues of the development of antisepsis and anaesthesia in the history. A chapter dealing with the phantom pain is one of the largest parts. The bachelor thesis is concluded by a chapter dedicated to the nursing care of patients with amputation of a lower limb nowadays. Conclusion This bachelor thesis focuses on the history of nursing care before and after an amputation of a lower limb. It is written chronologically from the prehistoric period up to the present, the 21st century. Each chapter of the thesis contains the trends, interesting points and innovations in the field of interest in the particular period. The whole work summarizes the development of nursing care and healthcare for the amputees. One of great conclusions of the studies of nursing care is the fact that there are periods in the history when hardly any changes were made but also periods when rapid and significant changes were introduced. This thesis also monitors the development of the profession of a general nurse in relation to the care about the amputees. The thesis may serve as a study material for general nurses and also for those who are interested in the history of the nursing care of patients with amputation of a lower limb.
Monitoring vodního toku Bobrůvka
Svobodová, Helena
This bachelor's work occupies with a monitoring of the river called "Bobrůvka". The river was monitored since the stream to the confluence with Svratka 63 km in length. The first part of the work processed the literary summary with the characteristic of the area and the mentioned flow itself. Here the work devotes to themes as water, the quality of water and the pollution of water. The literary search also engages of monitoring of the quality of water. In the next part of the work there is a description of the methodology of the work in a terrain and in a laboratory. The chapter "Results" catchs the acquired and processed values, which are commented in a part called "Discussion". During a monitoring of the stream in terrain were the water samples taken away and these indicators were found out: pH, temperature, conductivity, run oxygen. Following parametres were determined by analysis in laboratory: mangan, sulphates, nitrite's nitrogen, nitrate's nitrogen, chlorids, orthophosphates and the chemical cunsumption of oxygen. The reults were evaluated and compared with ČSN 75 7221 and with the provision of government n. 61/2003 in an effective version.
