Assessment of Physics Tuition Quality Parametrs

This thesis deals with acquisition and evaluation of parameters of the physics tuition quality at high schools. Mapping the existing approaches to the education quality and tuition quality, the work includes also description of the progress and results of an expert investigation, contributing to creation of a new technique for monitoring the physics tuition and assessing its quality. Following chapters describe details of the research assessing the quality of the physics tuition performed by ten teachers at seven Prague high schools, discussing the validity and reliability of the technique created. Within the thesis, didactic preparation has been elaborated based on results of the research, usable for teaching the physical topic titled "Energy and Conservation Laws in Mechanics". I have taught this topic and the tuition has been assessed using the new technique. The thesis includes also a manual for future users of the monitoring and assessment technique.

Creation of interactive textbook for teaching physics on high school

This presented work focuses on problems of textbooks of physics at secondary schools. The contents of the first part is the research work on the subject of exploitation of textbooks of physics in teaching process, satisfaction with their quality and possibility of modernization in conformity with the Framework Educational Programme and present-day demands of students and teachers. The research was carried out by means of a questionnaire form. The forms were set among the students of the second and third years of chosen secondary grammar schools and among their teachers as well. From the evaluation of the questionnaires three most represented suggestions and demands on form and contents of a textbook were chosen. The second part of the work deals with the creation of the text of coursebooks. The text is intended for students and teachers of secondary schools, the level corresponds to secondary grammar school and its subject-matter is magnetic field. It contains 16 chapters organized hierarchically with regard to the Framework Educational Programme. Didactic test creation based on the curriculum of mechanics in gymnasium

Diploma thesis is focused on design of a didactic test verifying knowledge and skills of secondary school students in the field of mechanics. The test is prepared for one selected topic, solid body mechanics. Two equally diffcult alternatives were prepared. Verification of the test took place on students of two secondary schools in Mladá Boleslav: fifth year of eight-year programmes and first year of four-year programmes (16 year old students in both cases). The thesis also contains overview of the theory of didactic tests design and processing and the development of didactic testing both worldwide and in Czech Republic.

Solved Problems in Electromagnetism - Alternating Current

To create a set of tasks with structural hints and commentated solution in the chapter Alternating Current was the main goal of this bachelor thesis. These tasks are published within The Electronic Collection of Solved Tasks in Physics on the web. I created 19 tasks totally. They are more difficult tasks for high schools students mostly. Collection can serve to high school students for preparation for school leaving exams or for entrance exams to university or it can serve to university students who need to revise the topic. I came through actual collections of tasks, which are used at high schools, and through accessible electronic collections.
