System for Guarding and Securing Objects and Areas
Komínek, Petr ; Schwarz, Josef (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is about design and realization of electronic System for Guarding and Securing Objects and Areas. System is designed for small house. It has low supply, easy mounting and it is possible to change configuration. System can be controlled by keyboard as local or by GSM and Internet as remote. Events are written into history. Also is possible inform the user about events by SMS or E-mail. System includes automation module, object remote controlling and camera's system with Internet connection. Project is described with details about configuration of all components.
Robotic Manipulator Controlling Using Microcontroller
Lengyel, Kristián ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Růžička, Richard (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of an algorithm for operating the servomechanism of robotic manipulator. In first phase it was necessary to attach the robotic manipulator ROB 1-3 and common joystick to HC08 microcontroller from Motorola Corp., which is also used in our school laboratories. In second phase I have designed and implemented the program for MC68HC908LJ12 microcontroller using C programming language and Freescale CodeWarrior development studio. The task of this program was to convert signals received from joystick to commands for servo motors.
ABS Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Zich, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis discusses the Anti-lock braking system and its impact on braking distance of a vehicle. The thesis contains research of this problem, a summary of suitable modeling tools, solution draft, its implementation in the UPPAAL modeling tool and tests performed with the model. The tests examine the course of progression of basic quantities associated with braking (velocity, braking distance, slip, angular velocity, friction coefficient) in simulations of emergency braking with and without the use of ABS, and compare the results. They also verify probability of the vehicle stopping in different circumstances on given distance. Lastly, the model can simulate brake or sensor defect, and results of those simulations can be compared to simulations without defect.
Computational Model and Analysis of Vehicle Driving Dynamics
Mrázek, František ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of a computational model and analysis of vehicle dynamics in connection with the principles and rules that are closely related to vehicle dynamics. We will use the key physical phenomena related to the driving dynamics of the model vehicle, suitable for modeling and analysis. The model will demonstrate the driving dynamics of vehicles in several appropriately selected situations and creates the possibility to compare the results with data obtained from freely available publications and tests.
Digital Steganography for Executables
Bever, Ľuboš ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
Steganography for executable files is the least common steganography. Research in this area has subsided after several, not many, attempts to implement it. The aim of this work is the implementation of existing methods and its modification proposal. Extensible software that has been created, can be also used to implement other methods. The implemented methods were properly tested,  evaluated and compared. The comparison results show, that the used instruction substitution method, roughly corresponds to its reference value 1/110, however the results are highly dependent on the input binaries. The proposed extension of this method averages a data rate of 1/84, which is only 1.5 times less than the value obtained from another existing implementation in which specialized software was used to search for equivalence classes. The maximum data rate obtained from test programs is 1/38.
Embedded System Based on Atmel ARM
Oravec, Jakub ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of simple embedded system based on Atmel ARM. There are Atmel's products covering this market segment reviewed in the first part, including the description of a couple of devices. The second part is focused on the aim specification, selection of components, their interconnection, power-supply requirements, price considerations and the design itself. The next chapter describes testing and application of the platform. The conclusion presents the current state of the project and deals with the successive progress.
Analysis of Real-Time Operating System Kernels Running on FITkit
Rajnoha, Peter ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The project is dedicated to the identification of the problems found while building RT operating systems for use in embedded devices. The project's main topic is the possibility of using RT system in the FITkit platform and it also discusses individual problems and their possible solutions. One of the problems is the way of acquiring the timing information for tasks to ensure their RT properties. We have extended existing simulator for given microcontroller that is also part of the FITkit. The simulator can be used for detailed monitoring of the execution of individual tasks in the system based on dynamic analysis, collecting timing statistics for given blocks of the program or it can be extended by new modules. The RM scheduling mechanism has been integrated into the FreeRTOS system as an example by considering the knowledge of the concrete operating system and acquired timing information.
Set of Applications for Demonstration of Real-Time Properties of uC/OS-III on FITkit 3 Platform
Koutný, Vít ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis provides an introduction to fundamental terms of real-time systems and real-time operating systems. It describes operating system uC/OS-III, focuses on its kernel, data structures and application programming interface. There is also a description of methods which can be used to test real-time operating systems. Some of these methods were implemented, the measurement was performed afterwards and results were written at the end of this thesis.
Design and Realization of a Prototype of a Simple Mobile Robot
Marko, Juraj ; Tobola, Jiří (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes designation and implementation   of simple mobile robot. The first part is focused on theoretic knowledge needed for construction   of simple robot. There is shown my solution of problem in the second part. There is also described software aspect of robot aside from mechanical construction in this chapter. In the third part, there are mentioned practical experiences of testing of robot prototype.   part.
System for Programming Minerva Platform
Dohnal, Michal ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
Theoretical part of this thesis studies several concepts and interfaces being used for programming microcontrollers (MCUs) and reconfiguration of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with closer look at those, which are available for MCU Kinetis K60 and FPGA Spartan-6 in circuitry given by the architecture of educational kit Minerva. This knowledge is employed in practical section which describes deployment of the supporting firmware belonging to group of firmwares so-called bootloaders. Finally the application QDevKit3 is introduced, that is based on this firmware, representing effective and fast way for easy programming of FLASH memory on Kinetis MCU using USB interface.
