Attitude to motherhood of university students

This bachelor thesis entitled Attitude to Motherhood of University Students discusses the current phenomenon of motherhood from the perspective of a specific group of women. Although parenthood is still perceived to be one of the main life goals that developmental psychology is expected to achieve in young adulthood, available research studies as in today's society it is not usual to address maternity issues in relation to university students. The dilemmas associated with parenting and career planning are particularly noticeable in this group of women. Women often solve these issues by themselves so the society cannot recognize that maternity issues of university students are very current. The author of this qualitatively oriented study looks for answers to a wide range of sub-research questions. Through the deep analysis and interpretation of respondents' testimonies, the author of this thesis reveals the attitude to motherhood of university students, introducing personal factors that play an important role in making decision and planning parenting, as well as the psychosocial factors influence the university students in this crucial decision. Coping strategies of leaders in a child (Scout-like) organization

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of coping with difficult situations with the leaders of children's clubs. The aim of the thesis is to map and describe the activities of the leader in a particular children's club, the sources of difficulty in it and coping strategies that the leaders use. First, the theoretical part of the thesis deals with clarification the terms related to coping with difficult situations (stress theory, work load, resistance, adaptation, coping, personality characteristics, coping strategies). The next part of the thesis deals with the clarification of terms related to the clubs activity and the work of the leader (what is a club activity, its development in the Czech Republic, a club collective, internal organization, educational system, leader's work, legislation). The empirical part of the thesis deals with qualitative research, whose main aim was to find out what coping strategies are used by the head of a particular children's club. It also describes the mapped work of the leader and the sources of difficulty in it. A semi-structured interview and a SVF 78 questionnaire were used for data collection. School and Counseling Trajectory of Child with Asperger's Syndrome

The aim of this thesis is to look into the schooling and counselling trajectory of children with Asperger's syndrome. It is viewed from the childrens' perspective, and includes their parents' testimonies. Subsequently the thesis comments upon convergences and differences that appear in their respective statements. Data is collected using semi- structured interviews and is a qualitative research. Based on the analysis of the results, the findings are presented in the following areas: "what was before" (ie what preceded the diagnosis); school attendance; communicating with classmates and teachers; relationships at school; experience with consultation facilities and professional assistance; interests and similarities or differences of the views of the child and the parent. The most frequent topic mentioned among the results was the lack of expertise on Asperger's syndrome, which led to frequent misunderstandings or conflicts with a teaching staff. The results revealed also other themes such as: the need to tolerate individual conditions of the child during a class; deficits in communication and social interactions; positive perception of professional assistance and of cooperation of experts with the school. Perception of Time in Pre-school and Primary School Children

In the theoretical part of this work I summarize with the theoretical background and findings on the topic of time, time perspective, perception of time, especially in pre-school children and primary school children, characteristics of these periods and characteristics of understanding of time in this age, and I discuss briefly how adults teach children hours and time. In the empirical part, I focus on my qualitative research - interviews with children aged three to ten. My aim was to get closer and understand how these children view time and different time concepts, how they can reckon time and what is their concept of youth and old age, both in general and with their loved ones.
Preschool Child in a Facility for Children Requiring Immediate Help

The bachelor thesis deals with a case study of a particular facility for children requiring immediate help and a case report of selected preschool children who are located in the mentioned facility. In the theoretical part I characterize child in preschool age, its development and needs. I also focus on the theme of CAN syndrome, family disorders and foster care. Furthermore, I summarize general information about the ZDVOP facility in the Czech Republic, its content and aim. The main method of research is the case study of an ZDVOP based in Prague, which I created on the basis of data analysis, direct observation, taking part in routine operation and interview with a social worker. The case study contains a brief description of the facility and a detailed record of the three selected children, focusing on the overall prosperity of the child, his actions, coping with the situation and experiencing separation from a loved one. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to observe the psychological and physical condition of the selected preschool child in ZDVOP during the whole stay. Furthermore, to monitor his behavioral changes, the relationship between him and his loved ones and look for circumstances that affect the child while staying in the facility. Based on this goal, I deal with research questions.
Attachment in Facilities for children requiring immediate intervention

The aim of this thesis named Attachment in Facilities for children requiring immediate intervention is to describe bonding behavior of children, who are situated in these facilities. I describe the attachment theory, but also current knowledge, manifestations of individual types of attachment and diagnostics of attachment in the theoretical part. I also characterize Facilities for children requiring immediate intervention, legislative definition of these facilities and try to describe some problems, which are caused by some current attitudes (attitudes which the system of Czech Republic isn't able to deal with). The practical part of thesis is based on the work of a particular facility. I describe cases of children by quality research and case studies in this part. Student with Special Needs in a Classroom - A Social Relationships View

The bachelor thesis is focused on a student with special needs in classroom. The theoretical part is devoted to the key concepts of my work: student with special needs and a classroom. I deal with the progress of a young schoolchild, classroom as a social group, diagnostics of classroom and students with special needs in connection with the current legislation and support methods they deserve. The aim of my work is to find out what is the social position of students with special needs within the classroom. So, in the empirical part I first searched the social position of students with special needs within the classroom, namely in two fourth grade classrooms, which includes one or more students with special needs. The research was performed at two different schools. For this purpose, I used Braun's questionnaire B-3. Then I made a semi-structured interview with class teachers. In interpreting the data, I focused on whether the social position of students with special needs differs significantly from the social position of other students in the classroom and what factors may cause it. For some of these students, a different social position within the class was found, while others did not significantly differ.
