Influence of Pulmonary Lobectomy on Activities of Daily Living

Key words: Activities of Daily Living, ADL, Pulmonary lobectomy Bachelor's thesis is concentred to the influence of pulmonary lobectomy to activities of daily living. The theoretical part brings up in general the pulmonary surgery and defines the individual activities of daily life necessary for the client's adequate reentry to ordinary life. The decision point of the thesis is composed by the quantitative analysis (questionnaire) about the influence of pulmonary lobectomy to activities of daily living in different time span. In aspires to map the severity of the clients to the complete self-sufficiency. The examined sample is formed by 38 informants who in the Pardubice Regional Hospital a.s. had to undergo the operation and were in nurse there.
The level of primary first aid knowledge among lay public

This bachelor's thesis "The Level of Primary First Aid Knowledge among Lay Public" examines the extent of primary first aid knowledge among non-medical lay public. The first section presents theories regarding disorders of the basic state of health as well as life-threatening and/or other sudden conditions. In addition it presents symptoms of these conditions and general first aid remediation which could be applied by lay, non-emergency people. Included is a chapter describing areas of cooperation between lay citizens and medical rescue services. The primary focus of this work is to report the results of empirical research conducted among a sampling of the lay public in Svitavy. Respondents were asked to complete a questionnaire which would determine both the extent of their knowledge of basic first aid and their willingness to learn more in this field in their free time. The aim of the survey is to map the extent of their knowledge and interest in becoming a more capble first aid provider.
The level of knowledges cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid of non medical hospital attendants

The theoretical part of my bachelors's thesis deals about developement of resuscitation procedures from the first written note to the present. I also describe most frequent acute conditions and CPR procedur by Guidelines 2005. The second, emipiric part is researching about level of knowledges of non medical hospital attendants. The questionary action was proceeding from 10. 12. 2008 to 12. 2. 2009 in Regional Hospital in Jičín. The research was realized by the form of an anonymous questionnaire survey. The respondents were non medical hospital attendants from 11 departments these hospital.
Importance of robot - assisted tubulisation of the stomach from patient's point of view

The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the obesity issue, with possibility of obesity treatment, with robot operating system ad Vinci. Mainly, it is focused on an operating method of robot-assisted tubulisation of the stomach. Further, it summarizes the pre-operative care of the patient after this operation. It also touches on psychological support and care of the patient after the operation tangentially. The empirical part summarizes the postoperative care of the patient after this operation, contains possible nursing diagnoses. Further, by means of a questionnaire, it finds out the reasons making the patients undergo the intervention, the differences in coping with postoperative care between individual patients. It asks about the type and quantity of early postoperative complications. It finds out, whether the patients tried an alternative method of weight reduction before this operation and what in particular. It also deals with patient's idea of weight reduction after the operation. The sample surveyed comprises 50 patients after the robot-assisted sleeve gastrectomy.
Quality of Nursing Care after the Surgical Creation of AV Shunt

The topic of this bachelor lever quality nursing care for patients, who were based AV shunt surgically. The theoretical part of the work deals with the causes that lead to the sewing AV shunt, describes the types and location of AV shunt. It warns to specific preoperative preparation and postoperative care. Also explains the impact AV shunt for each area of life. The empirical part is based on quantitative research was conducted through an anonymous questionnaire in patients with AV shunt. It identifies the basic information about these patients, their perception of the quality of nursing care after establishing the AV shunt surgery, and what skills are on this issue.
Quality of patient's life with home mechanic ventilation - true story about Mrs. L.B.

This paper deals with a true story about Mrs. L. B.'s life, who is dependent not only on invalid chair but on fan too. The theoretical part deals with problems of life quality - there are elaborated life quality aspects, factors that influence life quality, measuring and ways of evaluation of life quality. The main chapter deals with home mechanic ventilation (it includes forms of ventilation, possibilities of nursing care, possible complications), it deals with the project of home mechanic ventilation too (its realization, nursing care about ventilated patient). Integral part is made by information obtained from Home care agencies. The practical part is based on qualitative research. The main goal is to show life and life quality of a person who is dependent on fan by his/her eyes. Data were obtained by nonstandardized or half-standardized interviews with Mrs. L. B., Mr. B. B., and nurse from Home care agency. They were completed and specified in assist with Mr. B. B.'s diary where the period of Mrs. L. B.'s hospitalisation is described.
The quality of life of patients with diabetes mellitus, type 2

My bachelor thesis deals with an impact of diabetes mellitus, type 2 on patients` QoL. The main focus of this thesis is on the individualized perception of QoL. This method of QoL measurement does not determine criteria beforehand, but is based on the subjective perceptions of respondents, what he/she considers important. This thesis surveys both generic and diabetes dependant QoL. Not only was it my intention to find life domains of patients, but also evaluate the impact and importance ratings of the particular life domain, using the SEIQoL method. The focal point of the thesis is an explorative investigation in the internal sickbed department of the hospital in Nový Bydžov. The aim of the thesis is not only to compare the diabetes mellitus dependent QoL of insulin-treated patients versus patients treated by perioral antidiabetic drugs (PAD), but also evaluate the overall difference of QoL between life domains indicated by patients on a thermometer scale and my calculation based on acquired data.
Quality of life of an individual with changed motion ability after an injury

In my thesis I focus on individuals after transversal spinal lesion in the sphere of pectoral spine. With the help of structured interviews I tried to find out about the quality of life after the injury. All people questioned were asked the same questions. I did not interrupt the informants. I let them speak spontaneously. I used only the information important for my work. I focused on adaptation to the handicap after five years the since the injury happened, life values, and changes of preferences, quality of life, troubles that mean their social limitation and integration to the work process. The information elicited from the interviews is presented in the form of casuistries. Each casuistry contains nine questions. I asked four men and four women. In the theoretical part I focus on areas that are disturbed by the newly existing handicap. This means the area of satiation bio-psychosocial and spiritual human needs.
Nursing care in multiple trauma patient on the department of emergency medicine

Annotatin Paper is mentioned about care of multiple trauma patient. In introduction of this paper is general approach to multiple trauma with particular analysis of phasis of multiple trauma patient care. There is characterization of local problems of care in the Department of Emergency Medicine in University Hospital Hradec Kralove also. Eight case reports are showed with complete description of nursing diagnosis and interventions.

It is a new developing field with a specific position in the health care system of the Czech Republic. I hope that through my work the professionals in health care will get acquainted with problems at CHICU and show the hidden capacity in resolving these problems. In theoretical part i show chraracteristics of the CHICU and differencies when compared to ICU etc. In the practical part of my work I apply nursing diagnostic methods to cover objectively problems of patients and related work of nurses at the hospital in Český Brod. At the same time I fix propable set of nursing diagnostics, which is specific for CHICU. Nursing diagnostic methods are resulting from the first three days of hospitalization in order to receive the maximum information about patients....
