Nedílnou složku tvoří také kapitola, kde je popsána součinnost laika ze zdravotnickou záchrannou službou. Těžiště práce je empirická část, která je zpracována na základě kvantitativního výzkumu zpracovaného pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Zkoumaný vzorek respondentů tvoří široká laická veřejnost z kolemjdoucích na ulici ve Svitavách. Cílem výzkumného šetření je zmapovat znalosti laiků o poskytování první pomoci a jejich ochotu vzdělávat se v této oblasti ve volném čase. This bachelor's thesis "The Level of Primary First Aid Knowledge among Lay Public" examines the extent of primary first aid knowledge among non-medical lay public. The first section presents theories regarding disorders of the basic state of health as well as life-threatening and/or other sudden conditions. In addition it presents symptoms of these conditions and general first aid remediation which could be applied by lay, non-emergency people. Included is a chapter describing areas of cooperation between lay citizens and medical rescue services. The primary focus of this work is to report the results of empirical research conducted among a sampling of the lay public in Svitavy. Respondents were asked to complete a questionnaire which would determine both the extent of their knowledge of basic first aid and their willingness to learn more in this field in their free time. The aim of the survey is to map the extent of their knowledge and interest in becoming a more capble first aid provider.
